Manta turned to see his friend from the beginning of his journey, Mira. She had helped him with his contest training when he was just starting out. She had a bright audino beside her who didn't seem too interested in him at first. They exchanged words for a bit, but it was audino who steered it towards a battle. "A battle?" Manta was surprised. Typically, Mira was against battling. But her Audino was capable of healing. Perhaps she had gotten over her qualms about it. "I suppose a battle would be great!" He was actually excited. Them both being trainers and coordinators would make it an interesting battle. "Is it alright if I battle with gardevoir? She has been eager to battle again." He didn't ask for a response. He knew it was alright. Manta took out the ball that contained gardevoir and quickly released her. Gardevoir peered down at the shorter audino and smiled to say hello. Manta backed up to create enough room. The battlefield was grassy terrain with the lake next to it. This was a serene place and perfect for his personality. "I suppose we should start then. Gardevoir, magical leaf please." Manta's pokemon focused it's mind with its hands together. Psychic energy took the form of leaves floated around gardevoir gracefully. But they soon took an aggressive turn as they straightened out to look a bit sharp and spun rapidly toward audino. .

Kaiser- As the hidden power attack launched, a young man came out from the bushes behind Jun. He seemed plain enough, his only noticable feature being his backpack. Creeping up behind Jun to get a closer look, he surprised her, causing her to immediately flip him into submission. The shock on her face showed that she did not notice him approaching and she seemed even more shocked in herself for not noticing. With its trainers attention kept away from the battle, meditite became a little hesitant in its attacks. As the flames from the newly produced ember attack came rushing forward, meditite attempted to block them with confusion. Its eyes and entire body glowed a marvelous blue and most of the flames stopped in midair. Unfortunately, due to the lack of instruction, meditite could not focus well enough to completely stop all of them before they reached it, which allowed for flames to come close enough to strike it. Meditite cried out a bit, catching Jun's attention again. The boy spoke up just a bit. "ah...sorry. I was just watching Jun's technique." He seemed a bit socially awkward and monotone despite overshadowing the two of them in height. "I'm collecting data on other trainers in Steven's circle. I just wanted to see how the well known Jun performs her skillful counteratttacks." His words seemed innocent enough, though he still interupted the battle. "Umm...please continue." Jun's face relaxed. She was certainly frustrated that she could not sense his presence, especially with a large backpack behind him. She had recognized him from the meeting. "Montero..." She began. "Please dont interfere." Jun turned to Kaiser once again. "What he says is true. Counterattacks are what I am known for." She looked at her singed meditite, still surrounded by floating flames due to the confusion attack. "Don't think a straightforward attack like that work again. Not against me." Meditite regained its composure, now standing firmly with shimmering flames around it. "Send them right back, with a little extra." Meditite controled the flames with confusion, rotating them into the air and sending them forward. Behind the attack of flames, three small orbs of hidden power, aided with the wind attribute, swirled with the tiny flames, causing them to flare up and become larger. With the strength of a flamethrower attack, the flames dances towards the charmeleon. "Ah!" Montero chimed in. "increased oxygen increases the strength og the fire attacks. how invent-" Jun's hand covered the taller boy's mouth, halting his words. "dont interfere." Both Kaiser and Charmeleon smiled when the distracted Meditite wasn't able to dodge the attack completely and recieved some damage "that'd even things up a little" the trainer thought to himself. Though they were both surprised by the guy whi stumbled upon the girl, although she knocked him out rather fast, it seemed he meant no harm, instead he was there to watch, in his words, collecting data of trainer's working in Steven's circle. Why would Steven want somebody to collect data on the trainer's he -allegadlly- had hand picked? That was a question to ask that Montero guy once the battle was over. In anyway, Kaiser was actually surprised that someone was watching them battle, as far as he knew he was alone in this place before that girl appeared, and now they had a crowd who was actually rooting for his opponent. The trainer sighed and decided to focus on the battle at hand. Charmeleon on the other hand never kept his sight from the flames Meditite was holding in the air with its Confusion so once the girl gave the order to her pokemon to throw them at him he was prepared and used an Ember to counter the attack. Kaiser smiled, he knew he could trust Charmeleon to defend himself still the girl's words made him think, if she focused on counterattacks, she would probably be prepared for anything he threw at her, something else must be done, some way to trick her into leaving an opening so they could land a good hit and get the advantage. Once the flames cleared, Kaiser could see Charrmeleon had countered most of the attack, but as stated by the Montero guy, the added Hidden Power of Meditite made the attack stronger and Charmeleon recieved some damage still. "good thing that Charmeleon is resistant to Fire, else he'd be in lot of trouble now" the trainer said as Charmeleon cleaned his arms preparing to attack again. "Charmeleon, use Smokescreen, then attack Meditite with Ember and Dragon Rage" said Kaiser, he knew Smokescreen worked before, the only thing that allowed the Meditite to dodge the Dragon Rage was the Mind Reader move and as the girl said, it could only be used once, this time, he'd have Charmeleon alternate both attacks in order to confuse Meditite and get close enough to hit it with full force. Charmeleon nodded and once again surrounded the arena with smoke, this time he ran around, attacking Meditite with Ember flames and Dragon Rage blasts from every direction until he could get and opening and land one Dragon Rage with full power.

Manta- Audino hunkered down to accept the attack. the flowing energy in the form of leaves was breathtaking, but from their last battle with Manta, they knew that they could not dodge this attack, and the many targets made a counterattack too difficult. AS the switling energy sharply struck audino's fur, it could be seen that they were not affecting it too much. It was if the magical leaf attack was sliding right off of Audino's fur. Mira stood tall behind her pokemon. "I'm sorry, but a meager attack like that will no longer work on us." Her tone was one of surprising confidence. "Our numerous battles with one another have led us to train even harder in taking your attacks." Audino joined her with a serious look. "Audino and I have been training on endurance day in and day out. Can you overcome us?" Audino turned and readied herself for an attack. "Audino, secret power please!" Mira called out loudly, pointing forward in aim. Audino's body became enshrouded in green energy. Each breath that she took seemed to move the blades of grass at will. In only a moment, Audino prepared itself to strike, still enshrouded by this mysterious energy. It jumped forward for a full body tackle, the enrgy trailing behind her.
Kaiser- Jun regained her composure, a little irritated at teh man beside her who could so easily break her concentration. it had allowed her to miss an oppurtunity to perform a proper counter attack. What's more, it seemed that meditite's arm was singed a bit. That would undoubtedly influence the battle. "Hmph fine." Jun uttered to herself. As the battle continued, she watched as the fire pokemon repeated its moves once more. The same attack again. A smoke screen. THe feild was once again covered in the shroud. "Meditite. calm mind" Jun called out. She had anticipated a lack of physical attacks from her opponent and instructed her pokemon to clear its mind. The effects of which would allow for meditite to lessen its feeling of pain and focus easier for its log ranged attacks. However, as Jun could not see, she could not call out a physical attack either, despite that being her normal form of attacking. She did anticipate an attack though. She would seem redundant, simply using hidden power once more to clear the smoke. She had to strategieze and surprise. With the opposing pokemon not having a way to see outside of the flames either, it would undoubtedly resort to a long range attack...in which case... " Meditite!" Jun called into the mass of smoke, "Bide!" Though it was hard to tell, medititte had assumed a lotis position, closing its eyes, and focusing its energy. The sounds of the fire attacks could be heard from within the smoke. small lights coming from he flames could be faintly seen. undoubtedly, some of the widely targetted attack had hit her pokemon. But it was the final attack from the barrage, the dragon rage attack, that seemed to have the flashiness. The attack pushed into the smoke, turning some of it away, and struck the middle of the shrouded area. It was clear that meditite was the victim there. But Jun did not seem phased. "Are you aware meditite's qualities? It controls its pain tolerence by controlling its hunger with one berry a day. With such high tolerance for being attacked, this makes it the perfect pokemon for enduring and striking back."
A muffle voiced could be heard for the person behind her. "Mmf" Montero wrested his head away from jun's grasp. ....you must be talking about bide! The combination of multiple calm minds on a pokemon that already has a high tolerance for pain goes perfectly with the bide attack." Montero's eyes glistened "I could probably do a few things to stop it but..." He mumbled to himself. "Oh, haha. I trailed off for a bit" His talking was visibly frustrating te young girl. Her usual calm composure was being tested by this talkative distraction. She reacher out a hand and grabbed at the area between Montero's shoulder and neck, apparently causing his some degree of pain. "ow ow ow, i'll stop." He said with a monotone gasp, before falling to his knees in submission.
"Do not interfere" Jun repeated before sighing. "Meditite, continue your attack!" Meditite's body shone brightly, even through the smoke. The energy from its body pushed much of the smokescreen away. "Fire." Jun said under her breath. Meditite gathered the light energy, shooting it forward in a mighty blast. It had twice the energy of the attacks that the pokemon had received into one concentrated blast, and it apparent by how the smoke caved into the beam's presence. "Your attacks can be countered. all of them..." Jun began again. "will you take this attack, or yeild?" Her tone seemed entirely serious. It was as if her very presence was in the incoming attack.
