"No!" the Plusle squeaked at last, letting out a paralyzing wave of sparks at the Noibat in a frightened Thunder Wave. She was adamant that she wanted to be left alone, but her sudden attack left the young rodent aghast. "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, clutching her berry and on the verge of tears.

"Shut up the Chingling, Cayden!" Neina called out confidently, then turned to Ekans and called out, "And Ryan don't let him get the best of you!" She was going to trust her Pokemon to attack but Cayden didn't seem to trusting in his Ekans battle partner yet and hissed out, "Poison Tail! Poison Tail, you dolt! Make her regret ever biting you!" Ryan nodded, thinking this command had come from Neina and hissed loudly, whipping his tail fiercely, removing it from the jaws of the Sandile. Looking with disdain at his tail that had some minor bite marks, which stung quite a bit, from the dry lizard's teeth, Ryan lunged forward and curled around again. This time, he whipped his rattling tail at the Sandile's stomach. His tail changed from gold to a pulsating purple hue momentarily and he desperately used all his muscle strength to sting the Desert Croc Pokemon as hard and fast as he could manage. Cayden, meanwhile, was holding his ears in frustration. He knew that Neina was trying to emulate Cole by letting her Pokemon battle spontaneously like his were but Cayden disapproved slightly of this show-offy, dangerous technique and clicked his tongue. Either way, he had to come up with a strategy. But suddenly a thought occurred to him that might fulfill his trainer's encouraging commentary. Raising his fists like a boxer, the chinchilla creature smirked and then lunged, tossing punches in a strong and agile Pound, aiming for the gross round orb in his mouth that kept his loud ringing so persistent and loud. --- Despite Schultzen's warnings, Harry had indeed placed his eggs in the water. Suddenly, the lake changed colors without warning. It turned from its regulard dazzling sky blue color to a deep magenta. Then it began to ripple intenself and became rings of colors that slowly ebbed outward, each time they reached the shore they caused the honey brown egg to pulsate with the same magenta hue. Then all the lake began to revert back to its original colors. The wind whistled loudly in the trees though Harry could not feel the wind and a voice began to speak loudly from all around, though it was unclear if Harry, Schultzen, and Kate were the only ones who could hear it or not. Harry heard the voice in English, Schultzen in a Psychic though relay, and Kate through her native Pokemon and it seemed to be coming from nowhere yet everywhere as it echoed loudly and remarked, "Ahh, this is a species I have not seen in a long, long time. It would be an honor to aide in its hatching. And I would like to bestow a gift upon this newborn child. This Pokemon will have a strong emotional connection to any and all that it meets." The voice giggled in a playful, mischievous manner and then seemed to diappear and the wind began to die down. The magenta hue that had covered the honey brown egg disappeared completely and suddenly the egg began to glow white. It pulsated twice and then cracked loudly. The shell split into fourths and the shards floated away gently toward the center of the lake until they disappeared from view. A rounded shell appeared, bobbing on the surface of the water and it swam around serenely before making its way out of Lake Verity by climbing nimbly on the shore and seemed happy as it looked up with glowing red eyes, waving golden yellow appendages and cooing and gurgling in a nonsensical manner. Harry's egg had hatched into a baby Kabuto!

Meyrin slid off of the Charmanders arm when he wiggled free, plopping onto the ground gently. She looked with bright, curious eyes at the charmander, only to tense when she noticed the Charmander had collapsed. She looked back towards Michi, reluctant to attack it while it was gaining it's breath back.
"Hey, Charmander, are you okay...? Y-you weren't poisoned were you?"
"S-sorry! I should've warned you sooner... I didn't hurt you too badly, did I? U-umm, if I did poison you, we need to get a antidote or something... Or are you just catching your breathe?" Meyrin asked, keeping her distance and tilting to the side slightly while gazing at the fire-type.

The Sandile jumped to the side nimbly, crouching down so that the tail swung over her harmlessly. After that wrap, she had learnt her lesson and was now able to counter it much better. With a sudden motion, the Sandile began to spin in what seemed like another Sand Tomb- but this time, the small sandstorm was directed at Cayden and not Ryan. The tiny tornado began to spin, flying at Cayden and sweeping up a lot of rocks and sand in its midst. In the meantime, Chingling was struck by the Miccino's Pound, his voice giving way but managing to clamp down onto his tail. They were now planning to take out the two Pokèmon one by one! The Chingling used its ribbons once more in an attempt to Wrap the Miccino, intending to situate him in the path of Sand Tomb. ----- Harry giggled as the Kabuto crawled out, letting him crawl onto his arm. "Ticklish~" he cooed, excited about his new Pokèmon. With a tap of his Pokeballs, he recalled all of his Pokèmon into their balls and looked around. It seemed comforting to be here- it felt almost like home. He knew of the lake at home in Snowpoint, but it was too much for him to handle with his limp. With his father's Lucario, he had managed to see the exterior of the small lake, but never once was he inside it. He lay on the grass, content at finally being able to at least meet a lake guardian. The boy did not even notice that something else was staring at him...
Trainer encounter? ----- The Charmander got up and dusted himself, before he fell over again. His flame shrank a little, turning a wispy purple. It was obvious that Charmander had been Poisoned, and there was simply no way he could continue fighting. Even so, the arrogant Charmander refused the Trainer's help, producing several small Embers and hurling them at the Goomy in a futile attempt to warn them to stay away from him.

Meyrin and Michi both tensed when they noticed the flame shrinking a bit and turning purple. Meyrin let out a startled squeak when the charmander attacked her more, her protective membrane drying out more.
"H-hang on, we'll get help. Don't be stubborn."
"Eeeppp, if only we had a pecha berry or something... T-the pokemart is close by! We can get you there in time." Meyrin began trying to approach the charmander stubbornly, ignoring the small fire balls being sent at her in wanting to help the charmander.
Michi ran towards the charmander from the opposite side from Meyrin, bending over and attempting to scoop up the fire lizard and head for the Pokemart, not wanting to start off her journey by accidentally killing a Pokemon.

The two boys that Newt would be battling returned all their Pokemon except those he had chosen. The fiery lizard, the scruffy ferret, and the sticky dark cocoon disappeared in flashes of light and the Rangers put away the extra Pokeballs in their belts. Their Mareep and Chatot walked forward and readied for battle, excited and energetic. Emeric, the smaler boy, was a bit overconfident and hasty, and called out an order to his Chatot quickly, "Chatot, use Chatter!" and his brother followed up, "Then use a Thunder Wave, alright Mareep?" The Pokemon nodded and agreed and the avian Pkemon hopped forward and opened her beak. She sat with her mouth agape for a moment and suddenly clicked her tongue, as a harsh and terrible noise let loose toward the pair of opponents. They would likely need to cover their ears from the pain and as they were distracted, the sheep-like Mareep darted forward and began to crackle with static electricity. Her coat sizzled and sparked and suddenly she raised her tail, the orb on the end glowing and pulsating quickly. With a flick of her tail, she transferred all her built up static into a field of sparking electricity, which sailed through the air in a wide mesh net and aimed itself directly at the pair. The brothers high-fived each other and grinned, proud to be working so well as a team but wondering how Newt would possibly pull off a successful counter to their great opening. This was the genius in Newt's plan. No matter what they did, as long as it was in one direction, it was completely avoidable. While it did ruin the counter attack occasionally, it was worth it to prevent the damage and get in hits of their own. Theo looked to Elliot, who was completely unsure what to do after the opposing trainers had give orders. The Abra spoke to him, attempting to calm to worm, "Stay calm and follow my lead." While the Wurmple obviously knew of his "friend's" distaste for him, the two of them were in it together. He couldn't do it alone and there was no way they could betray eachother now. As the Chatot's mouth flung open and the Mareep began its charge, Theo shoved Elliot into his armpit and disappeared. It was sudden, and there wasn't much of an effect to it. Newt was fully aware of the tactic, they had used it many times before.
"Theo, Knock Off! Elliot, Poison Sting!" Newt commanded, finally speaking up in the heat of battle. This time it didn't shock him and was completely expected, "Elliot on the bird, Theo on the sheep. String Shot yourself a way out."
The team reappeared just above Chatot's head, on the opposite side of the screaming, and Theo threw Elliot. This gave him enough speed to get in a strong Poison Sting as well as Spider Man his way out of there with a String Shot. Theo dropped down on the cottony Pokemon and attempted to smack it with Knock Off on its head, hopefully disorienting it.

The Charmander squirmed angrily the moment he was picked up. Despite being poisoned he still had a lot of pep and was not about to yield. He huffed, trying to bite the human's arm but to no avail. The Charmander let out a small puff of smoke, unwilling and annoyed.

"Stop struggling. If we don't help you, you'll die." Michi spoke as steadily as she could, cuddling the charmander close while sprinting towards the Pokemart. She ignored the attempt to bite her, coughing at the smoke but being stubborn in not letting him go. Meyrin jumped and slid after her trainer, keeping up with her pretty well.
"Almost there, Michi!" Meyrin gasped out, feeling a bit dried out. Michi charged into the store and skidded a bit, looking around. Meyrin slid in behind her, bumping against her leg clumsily.
"H-hey! I need a antidote, please! This charmander is poisoned, a-and..." She spoke to the cashier, still holding firmly onto the squirming lizard.

The Charmander opened his mouth wide to reveal all his sharp fangs, but froze the moment he saw another human. He clamped his mouth shut, beginning to shiver from the effects of the poison.

The boat crashed over gentle waves as the shore came into view. Arcelia was slumped over the railing on the front of the boat; a position she'd held ever since the boat left the port of her home town. Pei Pei, her Yamask partner, floated around her. The Pokemon was worried, but nobody else knew that. Most of the people on the boat felt afraid of the ghost Pokemon, and thus kept their distance from the poor, seasick girl. The yamask floated in front of Arc's face, locking eyes with its trainer. The girl moaned, "because it's tradition. You've gotta start your journey in Twinleaf."
Soon, a large horn sounded from the boat; a signal that they had finally reached the shore. Arc couldn't be happier. She had little luggage with her, and so she was one of the first to get off the boat. Finally on land, Arc took a deep breath. The air seemed crisp and slightly salty from the sea air. Twinleaf town was close by, so she set off immediately.
Being back on land made her feel better already, and soon, she had arrived in Twinleaf town. It was a small town, she noted, with nothing much to offer other than a shop. Pei Pei was already heading towards the store, so Arc followed. She had planned to go there anyway. She wasn't in there for long, and exited after buying a few items. She shoved the Pokeball, Great Ball, Ultra Ball, Heal Ball, and Quick Ball into her bag, along with the Old Rod. She slapped the Poketch she purchased on her wrist, before looking at the Intriguing Stone she bought on a whim; shoving it inside her bag as well. Maybe it'd be useful later.
With nothing else to do in Twinleaf town, Arc headed north, into route 201. Pei Pei followed closely behind her, wary of the pair of eyes watching them.

"No!" the Plusle squeaked at last, letting out a paralyzing wave of sparks at the Noibat in a frightened Thunder Wave. She was adamant that she wanted to be left alone, but her sudden attack left the young rodent aghast. " I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" she exclaimed, clutching her berry and on the verge of tears. Nip skittered backwards as one of the sparks danced across his velvety skin, startling him. It slightly numbed that area, leaving a tingly feeling. "Whoa whoa..!" The male Noibat gave up on the female and waddled back to Quez, who picked him up and held him like a mother would her baby. "Nip, maybe we should just leave her be." She suggested, and pet Nip, "Are you okay...?" She asked, stroking the numb area. "Just tingly. Yeah, lets go." He sounded a little hurt, maybe she was just a crazy plusle.

Jooce A Ledyba was heard singing happily in the trees. It was trustful of the trainers that were passing through, fluttering down to say hi. "Hello!" she buzzed cheerfully, "How are you today?" The Ledyba spoke a mixture of jumbled English and Pokèspeak amidst her buzzing, but she seemed friendly enough to interact with.
Ledyba, female, level 7
Kizzy A Phantump watched the pair closely and warily from a distance. It seemed disinterested in making contact, since it was comfortable in the trees. However, there was a connection with the Noibat since they were both Kalos-native Pokèmon. Calmly, it floated down from its perch in a tree and stared hollowly at the duo.

Arcelia was a little startled by the Ledyba's sudden appearance, but Pei Pei seemed to be at ease by the friendly Pokemon, so Arc relaxed. "Hello. I'm... fine." She said. She wasn't used to Pokemon talking to her, since Pei Pei barely spoke. Her Yamask partner hovered around the Bug Pokemon in a playful manner. Neither Arc nor her Pokemon were fighters, so to speak. They were the sort that would defend themselves in an attack, but never start a fight themselves. "How are you?" Arc said eventually. If this Pokemon was nice enough to ask how she was, she ought to return the favour.

"Bzz! I'm great! The weather is good and many trainers are walking around on the right path!" The Ledyba hummed, happy to suck on her nectar undisturbed without trainers lobbing balls at her or trampling all over her food. Even so, the Yamask didn't seem to annoy her or anything, which was rare seeing as Ledyba was a Bug-type.

Arc stared sort of blankly. The Ledyba didn't seem to be able to speak English fluently, and the parts of the conversations that Arc caught weren't really enough to make a sentence. The last time, she had just put two and two together, but this time... was a little bit harder. Pei Pei left the Ledyba temporarily, offering her mask to her trainer. Arc grabbed it without hesitation, pulling it up to her face Pei Pei's spectral body disappeared and a voice unlike Arc's came from behind the mask, muffled, "She is happy. The weather is good. Trainers are going the right way." Arc let go of the mask once Pei Pei had said all she had to. The mask tumbled towards the ground and Pei Pei's ghostly body reappeared to catch it.
"All right." Arc said. The Ledyba was cute and cheerful, and Arc didn't dislike that. She walked over towards the Ledyba and stretched out her hand, "D'you want to come with us? Pei Pei and I are going on an adventure." Maybe it was too soon to be asking something like this, but Pei Pei seemed to like the Ledyba, and Arc liked its friendly personality. If the Pokemon didn't want to go, though, Arc would apologise and leave it alone.
