A dash of red and yellow zipped past the trainer and his Pokemon followed quickly by a sudden surge of heat. The mysterious creature stopped for a moment attempting to catch its breath and seemed to be fleeing from something in pursuit. No sooner than that thought could cross someone's mind did Professor Rowan himself along with a handful of assistants appear out of the tall grass. " STOP!" the Professor shouted. But the little fix growled defiantly and unleashed an impressive ring of fire pillars. " GET AWAY EVERYONE!" shouted the Professor yet again, " IT'S USING FIRE PLEDGE." No doubt this was the same Fennekin the trainer had seen in the lab before. It briefly seemed to be a potential choice as a starter but was quickly replaced by less desirable choices. It somehow seemed to know what is commonly referred to as a Tutor Move and in this case, Fire Pledge. Suddenly the Pokemon turned its attention towards Conor and his Stunky ready to fight. The Professor called out to the boy. " It seems to be challenging you." Found : Approx Level : 3 Known Moves Tail Whip, Scratch, Fire Pledge Conor watched the surge of red and yellow smiling, he immediately thought that would have to be a Fire Type pokemon. As he looked around trying to find the creature he heard a yell "GET AWAY EVERYONE!" clearly not towards him in specific but to the bunch of people who were running behind the pokemon. After watching several of them throwing themselves to the sides into the tall grass as an attempt to hide themselves, he turned to see the attacker, a Fennekin, one of the many pokemon he saw at Prof. Rowan's lab and who appeared to have scaped. "hey!" Conor houted at the pokemon trying to draw its attention away from the assistants who didn't appear to have any pokemon to fight with, though the pokemon was already taking a battle stance towards him and Stunky "It seems to be challenging you." shout Prof. Rowan who was with the group pursuing the fox. Conor smiled, for what he could see the Fennekin had a really good Fire Type move even for a starter so it would make a great addition to his team, if he managed to defeat it. Conor smiled "if it is challenging us let's not disappoint it" he said looking at Stunky who was ready to battle the yellow fox as well. "ok Stunky, use your Poison Gas on that pokemon and follow up with a Scratch!" he called. Stunky nodded and opening its mouth released a purple-ish cloud of smoke towards the Fennekin before dashing towards it with the intention of clawing its opponent with a Scratch. Conor watched intently, smiling, he didn't expect both attacks to hit the target, but with one of them that landed would help get the advantage in the battle.

KaiserThe agile fox easily dodged the slow cloud of toxic gas but was unprepared for the ensuing attack. Much too quickly for it to react, Fenniken was struck in the side by the trainer's Pokemon. It growled defiantly and observed the small scratches the skunk was able to inflict. It was shallow but it still broke the skin. With a howl, the fire fox recreated the fire pillars from before but with a little more intensity and pushed them out towards the Stunky. Another stray pillar found its way hurtling directly towards the crowd. It didn't seem to care who it hurt at this point. dracoonHappily consuming the remains of the Pokeball it had scavenged, it didn't notice the Low Kick inbound and was struck full force by the Scraggy. Even for such a low leveled Pokemon, the force made a sharp metal twang against the Aron's armor, even denting it. The metal creature was lobbed into the air, Pokeball in mouth and landed with a thud on its head. The resulting impact forced what was left of the Pokeball down the Steel Types maw. With a slight cough, the Pokeball was gone and the Aron lay there dazed and confused not sure what had just happened... speshalThe attack was successful.... sort of. Even though contact was made, it seemed that the Lapras had indeed turned in time to point one of it's shell's blunt spikes towards the spinning ball of venom and with a loud crack, Venipede ricoche'd off in the opposite direction. Without even skipping a beat however, it caught traction against the ground and barreled forth again. Again though it was parried by the Lapras's water attack, its Water Gun slowing the Roll Out down almost completely. The Venipede uncurled and realized it was matched with a long range opponent, something its direct attacks couldn't get around. It curled up defensively yet again but instead of rolling towards its opponent, it decided that an attempt to flee would be safer. Pokemon Attempting to Flee, Will You Allow It? (Y/N) mizuyukiThe Wingull were much too vigilant to not notice the trainer and her Pokemon. Unfortunately they were not as easily forgiving as they were agile and with a flurry of angry caws. All Wingull dive bombed firing Water Gun attacks. They looked like fighter planes. The stronger of them was hovering above the action prepping its Twister attack but it would take time. In the meanwhile, the barrage of pressurized water would find contact no doubt. MizumantaThe effect wasn't what anyone had expected. Instead of scaring off the little bug, it instead shivered after absorbing most of the energy from the attack. Being musically inclined, its biological structure granted it some resistance to sound based attacks but being so close, the vocal power was simply repackaged into the little Kricketot. Not meaning to, it unleashed the power with an Uproar in order to relieve itself from the power. It would keep doing so with each residual shockwave becoming more powerful than the next if that Ralts and its trainer couldn't find a way to quiet it down.

"Well, I guess I don't mind losing that Pokéball..." Yoori knelt down and pulled out a magnifying glass, "The question now remains this- will it catch this Pokémon from inside? I have to know this, but I guess we could weaken it some more. Do your thing!" Scraggy bent forward, unnatural lights swirling and bouncing off his body rhythmically as he boosted his Attack and Speed before running forth, slightly more limber as he launched a barrage of Low Kicks in an attempt to weaken the Aron. With his skin trousers on, he felt much less pain from kicking steel, and Yoori expanded an Ultra Ball behind her back, waiting for an opportunity or opening in order to catch the Aron. After all, it didn't seem like it would hold up against so many Low Kicks at once plus it had eaten her things- she assumed that he would turn out great.

Syrus cringed, hoping that his pokemon's growl attack would end soon. The young trainer had not noticed that the attack did not produce the results that he had expected. Instead, the growl attack, or rather the soundwaves from it, had aided the kricketot in a counterattack. IT seemed to release a soundwave even larger than Grace's, one that was noticeably causing damage. Grace abruptly ended her growl attack, needing to cover her ears instead. As Grace attempted to back away from the screeching pokemon while enduring, Syrus noticed again that Grace appeared to shimmer. It want as if he were disappearing, but moreso that she was splitting. An after image was almost produced with each step. It didnt look like his pokemon could even tell that she was doing this at all.
Syrus contemplated the situation. Whether the pokemon was meaning to or not, it was definitely hurting him and his pokemon. To top it off, the pokemon was following them anyway. It didnt seem that they would be able to run away either. They would have to strike back. Syrus looked around. There was plenty to use around this beaten path.
"Grace!" Syrus yelled, attempting to get his message through the sound permeating the air. "The rocks! Use confusion!" Ralts peered down to see the rocks, stones, and gravel from the beaten path. They werent very large, being much smaller than either pokemon, but they were plentiful. Grace's eyes glowed a deep ocean blue, following the rest of her body in the might glow. Around the green and white pokemon, a dozen or so bits of small debris rose from the ground, matching the glow of the pokemon controlling them. "Rock beats bug, right? That's what I learned in school anyway" Syrus was semi serious this time. He didnt want to be held up, even by such a young pokemon. With those words as a signal, Grace fired small bits of rock and stone at the kricketot, trying hard not to break concentration from the ongoing uproar attack.

Another stray pillar found its way hurtling directly towards the crowd. It didn't seem to care who it hurt at this point. Conor watched how the Fennekin dodged the Poison Gas, not that he minded that, if it was going to dodge one attack it would be the slowest one, in this case the Poison Gas. Though Stunky's second attack landed and he could see the Fennekin hurt by the Scratch, but even before he or Stunky could gloat on thier success, the small fox released another stray of fire pillars, ones that looked even stronger and most likely hotter than before. Conor shrugged, he knew there wasn't much he could do from where he was standing and even if Stunky was defenseless against the attack he focused on the crowd "move out!" he yelled in thier direction, though it was too late, even if they ran, not all of them would be able to scape, luckily, or not, Stunky decided to help them scape and ran as fast as his short legs allowed him to and clashed against the closest person to the fire, succesfully blocking the attack from reaching them but recieving himself all the damage. Conor watched in awe, he didn't expect Stunky to do such thing, truth be told he didn't knew his pokemon very much, but he never considered Stunky to be able to place himself in the middle of danger. As the crowd moved away farther from the battle, Conor ran towards Stunky to check on him "stun stunky" the pokemon said with a cuffing voice, though hurt, he was still willing to fight and they hoped to have gained enough time for Prof. Rowan and his crew to back off even more from the fight, at least far enough for the Fennekin to ignore them for a while. "ok Stunky, I know asking you to run now will be almost mean, but if we want to defeat this pokemon we need to get it tired so try to run around the area, make it follow you if you can and as soon as you get close enough to it, release a cloud of Poison Gas to its face" he called. Stunky nodded and looked around, the tall grass might help him to get cover, but so much of it had been burned already by the Fennekin's attack that it was futile. The skunk pokemon took a deep breath, as if focusing its body and mind to win the battle, using Focus Energy on his own before running towards the Fennekin, but as indicated by his trainer he didn't move straight forward the Fennekin, instead he moved around and taunted the small fox to follow him so that he could get it tired and take the chance to release a Poison Gas straight to its face so that it would get Poison and give them the advantage in the battle.

Yumi glared as her attack proved fruitless. Among having superior numbers, they also had flight and speed. but the plan was to fight one, not all. Yumi ran up and picked up her torkoal, allowing herself to get drenched, and much water to fall on her torkoal and into its shell. Steam arose quickly as the water evaporated, covering the area in semi transparent gas. This gave Yumi an idea. "All right you little cheats, I got something for you!" Yumi had to set her pokemon down again because of the heat and specifically because of the weight. It was like carrying another person. "Torkoal, do the same as last time, but this time, we'll smoke em out. Smog!"
Torkoal's body lit up a the fire in its shell burned brighter, but it suddenly darkened, releasing a heavy purple and grey smoke that covered all overhead of the pokemon itself. Yumi's torkoal looked like a volcano that was releasing smoke. The denseness of the smog itself was much more noticeable than the distance. Even with some wing blowing, the main part of the cloud stayed condensed. Anything caught in it would probably have a hard time breathing.
Yumi chuckled as the attack continued, talking under her breath "probably should have done this in thah first place."

(Y/N) Val exhaled sharply, almost laughing at the small bug. It wasn't that it was any kind of pathetic Pokemon just running from issues, but it was actually able to recognize the problem and knew that she and her Pokemon were the stronger team. She took a moment to appreciate the fact that her commands were able to prevent an immobile Water-type from being beaten by a rather speedy land Pokemon. Sadly, it seemed she took a bit too much time considering this. Val did not notice the Venipede run away, and as a result did not even make an attempt to stop it. She had lost her opportunity. "Really?" She asked herself when she looked up from her Pokenav to find the bug gone. Her Lapras twisted its head toward her, excited to get back into the Pokeball and off the ground. It definitely wasn't happy with being immobile and completely reliant on its moves just to fend Pokemon out. Val walked toward the Pokemon, returned it, then continued on down the route. "I think we both did a good job there. Being a trainer doesn't seem to be that tough." [[Event, please?]]

dracoonThe Aron didn't quite understand what was going on. Dazed and confused, it sat there helplessly as the more agile opponent came in again with another barrage of attacks. In the final moments before the attack made contact, the little iron Pokémon regained its composure and realized the situation. The Scraggy was too close for it to dodge the attack and hiding underground wouldn't be feasible as the earth around was held tightly together by the tree roots of the forest, not like the mountains from which it wandered from. Using the iron scrap it had obtained from consuming the Pokéball, it focused its internal energy to quickly construct a tougher metal shell. Instead of the hollow clang the first contact made, when the Low Kick struck, a dull thud was all that was heard. The resulting effect also made the Aron heavier and having a lower sense of gravity would keep it from being launched into the air like the first time. Digging its tiny legs into the earth, it thrust forward while the Scraggy was close in hopes of making direct contact with a Tackle attack. MizumantaSeveral of the projectiles were diverted by the Kricketot's shock-waves of sounds produced by the Uproar attack but a lucky strike found itself smacking right into the bug's proboscis, a painful endeavor to be sure. The sound it was producing immediately stopped instead being replaced by squealing as the bug fell to the floor writhing in pain. To this point, most of the battle was unintentional but the pain soon subsided and the insect had a darker glare in its eyes. The glint shimmered as it growled, watery-eyed from the previous attack. It heaved in a heavy breath and if anyone knew anything about Uproars, they grew more powerful with each turn. If it's first attack was any consolation as to the power this Kricketot could focus, the second bout wasn't to be any more enjoyable for the ears of anything nearby. The moment moved in slow motion, the Kricketot was still breathing in and more than likely a verbal command from Ralts' trainer would be unsuccessful due to the fact that their ears were ringing. KaiserThe fox prepped itself for an incoming attack from the human's companion. It would not allow itself to become a slave to the bidding of captors. It barked in retaliation, its fur bristling awaiting to counter the attack. Surprisingly, the Stunky just missed the Scratch attack Fenniken was preparing and over and over again got close but dodged before Fenniken could land a hit. Infuriated, it began to pursue the taunting Poison type but right, unfortunately, into a face full of Poison Gas. The Pokemon tried to jump backwards but it was too late. Inhaled and working its way into the Pokemon's blood stream, the Fenniken knew it only had limited time to escape. It tried to turn and run but the quick acting toxins began to mess with its perception of the environment causing dizzy spells and weakness. It fired off its of embers in random directions in a last feeble attempt to ward off any potential captor. However, being a fire type, its body would soon burn off the poison. If it could only hold the trainer off until that happened... mizuyukiThe attack proved successful. It was a great tactic for weeding down larger groups of Pokemon. The weakest of the Wingull fled from the scene drastically narrowing down the flock to about 4 birds including the powerful one. The strongest of the four had finished accumulating power and unleashed a devastating cyclone towards the opposing party. The other three hovered behind their leader in an attempt to escape the gale which was now tossing about most small objects creating droves of painful projectiles. From behind the lead bird, the other three Wingull growled as loud as they could in an attempt to disable and disorient the trainer and her Torkoal to prevent them from dodging. One of the three in particular cycled around the maelstrom and focused a Water Gun directly at the Torkoal. speshal"OOMPH!" Someone had run directly into Val without her even realizing it and fell to the ground. "Watch it!" The boy rubbed his back having fallen on his bum in the dirt and picked himself up. A bit of brushing off later he surveyed his obstacle taking note that it was... well a girl. However, he really didn't care. A metallic hum followed by a noticeable increase in temperature signaled the arrival of what was most likely the boy's starter Pokemon. After all, he looked as if he had just gotten out of the lab as well. The starter routes were always crowded with newbies this time of year. "Nah, its alright Buzz." He motioned towards his Magnemite who seemed to be fritzing, most probably ready to defend its trainer. "This newbie just doesn't know how to walk."

Conor watched how the Fennekin got annoyed at Stunky for dodging its attacks, he couldn't help to smile, his idea seemed to work and even when Stunky might get tired for all the running, if the Fennekin recieved Stunky's attack it would have worth it. It took a while for Stunky to approach the fox but when the window opened he didn't miss the chance and released the Poison Gas right up the yellow fox's face, forcefully making it breath in all of the toxins. Immediately the Fennekin started acting wierd, moving around as if it was dizzy, even when it tried to retaliate with an Ember attack it missed misserably. Conor knew this was his chance and taking one of the empty pokeballs given to him by Rowan he turned to the Pokemon Professor "I hope you don't mind if I catch it" he said, confident he would succeed. The young trainer threw the pokeball towards the Fenenekin, hoping it would succeed in capturing the pokemon. "Stunky be prepared, if it breaks free Scratch it!" Conor said to his pokemon, knowing that he was also tired and would not hold on for much longer. Catch attempt here

Scraggy was about to aim another Low Kick, ignoring the pain from the Hardened shell of the Aron before he was struck, tumbling onto the ground. "Scrag-wah," cried the Scraggy, immediately refusing to fight anymore and sniffling like a petulant child. Yoori gathered her companion up, pulling him back up to his feet before he huddled behind her leg, confused and terrified at what had just happened. Yoori had said it was supposed to be easy! Why did it feel like he had just hit his leg against the work tables of the Resort Area, grumbled Scraggy to himself, tightly clinging to her pants.
"Ok...I never thought I'd get robbed 2 seconds into the grass, but here we are," Yoori snapped, quickly losing her patience with the Aron, "We do this the easy or the hard way, alright?" She weighed the Ultra Ball a few times in her hand (her only one, the family was so paranoid that she would get robbed that they ended up replacing her personal stash of Ultra, Timer and Dusk Balls with nothing but Pokeballs, once which was now digesting in the stomach of the Aron before her), before she threw it, hard at the Aron. It opened, a bright light unlike a Pokéball's engulfing the trio- what would happen to this capture?
Catch attempt, please!

It was unclear, but didn't change the fact that some kid was taking offense to her bumping into him accidentally. She let out an aggressive sigh and readjusted her bag. Her eyes narrowed into a piercing glare as he turned herself completely toward the stranger. She brushed her hair off her shoulder and spoke, " Excuse me?". Her Lapras' Pokemon exploded open to reveal the rather large sea creature. It seemed to let itself out somehow, but Val didn't mind. The Pokemon ducked its head forward slightly, curious as to what all of the fuss was about.

Syrus watched in semi delight as the attack pushed through. With Grace's only attack being confusion, he had prepared a while ago for a way to attack dark types, though this situation was useful as well. Due to the small size of the clods of dirt and pebbles, many were easily changed off course just enough to miss their target, but enough seemed to get through to at least temporarily stop the uproar. It was beginning to be a headache! Grace stopped as the kricketot took a breather, taking one of her own. Due to Grace not being too experienced in battle, she had trouble concentrating on psychic type moves while also dealing with the battle itself. It wasnt long, however, before the attack ensued again. This time the uproar attack was even louder, causing the items in Sai's bag to vibrate. Both he and grace took a few steps back as they plugged their ears in an attempt to mute the decibels. Normally he would have tried a confusion attack to move water from a nearby lake or river, or perhaps another pokemon. He thought as hard as he could under the circumstances, not noticing his own pokemon splitting once again. Though he could not see it, Grace's attempt to back away had triggered something within. She was not necessarily splitting apart, but was instead using her psychic abilities to create a double of herself. Had this been a different circumstance, Syrus and Grace might have been able to work together to make this work to their advantage, but the continuing attack was keeping them both too occupied to take too much notice. "Grace!" Syrus Shouted. His voice was easily being drowned out by the sound to the point that is was barely coming through. "I've got a plan!" He huffed" "It needs to take in a deep breath to continue to attack. Let's use that!" His ralts could not understand a word. Syrus lifted his foot, and kicked up a dust cloud about half the size of himself. His ralts watched and quickly understood, concentrating on the cloud and swirling it about. It was lighter than the stones and rocks and required less concentration, which Grace was thankful for. Syrus, unaware that his words alone wouldnt have been enough to get his message across, continued speaking. "Aim for its face!" He said as he pointed forward. Grace didnt understand, but shot the dense cloud of dust and dirt forward. The pokemon was small enough that a cloud that large wouldnt necessarily have to be aimed. This was lucky, because the command was basically lost at this point, Syrus' pokemon relying on hand gestures and instinct at this point. Either way, even without proper communication, the attack was headed towards the shouting bug, and hopefully would end the attack.

Yumi was delighted that her pokemon's smog cleared out so many wingull, though she was quick to dissipate her joy once she realized a few were left. This wasnt good. To go up against so many water pokemon out of reach with a pokemon that she hadn't had the chance to train yet was proving as difficult as she had thought it would be. She was surprised though that none of the wingull were stricken with the poison status. She had read that it had a chance of happening. Either way, Yumi had to beat the boss. She couldnt start her journey running away or losing to water types.
She didnt have much time to congradulate her torkoal before the next round of attacks continued. This time, a spiral of wind came crashing down. Alone, it probably wouldnt have done too much, but it seemed that a bunch of them worked together to produce the attack. Still, the majority of the danger from the attack were the small rocks and trash that was being picked up by the wind and that aspect was hardly a problem for Torque, who prided himself on his physical defense. To top it off, he was much too heavy to lift off the ground, being even heavier than his trainer. Old cans and bits of rock and sand clanged loudly as they struck Torques shell. Even with the hooting and cawwing of the flying irritants, Torque had this attack covered. But that might have changed soon.
A new threat, a diving wingull that seemed less experienced than the others, dove down to strike. It went around the twister, firing a water gun at her partner. Torque took notice, Beginning to get serious. The small pokemon's body began expelling a black smoke at an alarming rate. It was similar to the smoke that came from a grill or perhaps the chimney of a factory. The water gun was sure to hit, as her pokemon could not dodge without his trainers help. The water gun splashed on the shell of Yumi's pokemon, sizzling on the shell that was now hotter than ever. The wind and heat caused the water to evaporate quickly, sending steam to join the smoke. "You got this, Torque! smog!" Torkoal's shell grew brighter within the wind, shining through. The back of its shell expelled a purple gas to join the thick black smoke made before. The cyclone had been dyed a dark purple as the less than clean particles spread into the air towards the wingull, thanks to the funnel of wind. Yumi herself, having come from an island with a volcano, knew to sheild her face. It wasnt just breathing in the smoke that would pose a problem. The eyes could also be effected. When it came to the pokemon, she would have to wait and see.

Kaiser Approximate Capture Chance 26% or 13/50Capture Failed 46% Health RemainingThe ball shook violently before exploding open. The Fenniken wasn't quite finished yet though it wasn't of any use so disoriented. It stumbled and fell into the dirt, coughing and wheezing as the poison took its toll. Determination was quickly replaced by fear and any shadow that came too close was a potential target for incineration. It seemed now like a battle for survival how hard this Fenniken was fighting back.
The professor edged forth in an attempt to grab the Pokemon but upon detection, he was met with a burn on his arm by the stray flames. This Pokemon was too panicked to capture by hand and it didn't have a Pokeball as of yet having not been registered in the PSS. It would be up to this child to either catch or subdue the Pokemon long enough for the scientists to bring it back to the lab. If neither of the former were done, the fox would succumb to the poison and perish. So lies the true nature of battles. If the trainer could indeed catch the Pokemon, the Pokeball would place it under a suspended animation and thus prevent the poison from spreading. But the duo had to act fast.
Approximate Capture Chance
54% or 27/50
A r o n C a p t u r e d Quirky Nature No Gains or Losses in Stats Bio: This Aron was born in the softer soils of the meadows within the main route. Its parents, a pair of Lairon, were on their forced migration as the mountains to the West this time of year teemed with strong trainers bent on strengthening their Pokemon and travel the infamous Victory Road. To avoid capture, many Lairon, Aron and even the rare Aggron migrated down the mountain faces and into the forests where they could hide it out. During this time, the egg of this particular Aron was laid. However, instead of hatching at the end of the League season, Aron hatched much much later. By the time it hatched, the rest of its species had already made the arduous trip back up the mountain face to feast on its ore deposits. Here on the lower levels of the forest, iron ore wasn't plentiful in its traditional form. So, in the face of starvation, this Aron learned to detect that passing humans sometimes carried delicious balls of Iron and would pillage them.
speshal His comment was met by the sudden release of a rather large sea Pokemon. He didn't recognize it and instead of answering the girl, he whipped out his Pokedex. State of the art, it was capable of scanning the Pokemon in front of it to discern all sorts of useful information. A steady stream of data whizzed past he hologram screen and he seemed to be reading all of it. Type, move sets, tutored probabilities, natures, biological physicality, history and observational data were merely a few of the elements. Suddenly he snapped the device shut, its holographic projections disappearing with a BING!
"So how'd someone like you get ahold of a Pokemon like this?" he asked inquisitively still dismissing her original response as if it had never happened. He side-stepped her and inspected the Lapras muttering the things he found interesting to himself. He poked and prodded without so much as a little worry as he knew them, based on the data, that they were rather insightful, curious and tame creatures and most likely wouldn't retaliate... most likely.
Buzzer or Buzz was his Magnemite, an old friend he acquainted during his youth some time ago while living on the streets of the city. It had strayed from a power plant facility during a blackout and though it seemed alien and cold, found something interesting in the boy. Perhaps it even gained some degree of self awareness. "Oh, and I'm Erin." He said dismissively as he lifted the left fore-flipper of his Pokemon testing the elasticity.
Just before the attack struck, the Kricketot's antennae became erect and the sound stopped. It looked lost and... well, a little dopey and seemed to not recognize what kind of a situation it was in. It, for some odd reason, was born with a form of short term memory loss and so during the battle, it had completely forgotten what it was doing and started to waddle about. Unfortunately this meant nothing to the attack that was inbound and just like that, the creature was on the floor squeaking and trying to rub the dirt out of its eyes not entirely sure what had happened.
That was one more Wingull down. The steam coming off of the shell had burned it and it flew away in a fluttery haste. Then there were three. The twister was now consumed by a thick purple and black thicket of smog and smoke, a dangerous combination of things. The last two supporters of the mob boss flew away as well but the proud Wingull boss wouldn't give up. Rambunctiously, it dove headfirst into the twister and powerfully flapped its wings disapating the cyclone but at a cost to its own health. The opponent had figured out how to use its own move against it and so now it was damaged and poisoned. The toxins of the Torkoal were much different than those of other Pokemon. An inhalent produced by the various chemical processes within its shell, the toxins were known to cause flu-like symptoms rather quickly.
The bird's wings began to ache and a fever reared. The exhausted water type had to perch, a dangerous idea especially with the trainer so close. If it didn't however, it would fall and die on impact. Reluctantly, it perched on the highest branch it could find peering down at the trainer and her Pokemon in case it needed to fire off some warning shots. Keeping still would slow the inhibiting poison but would not stop its effects. Though not strong enough to cause any permanent damage, the toxins would prevent the creature from flying away.

speshal His comment was met by the sudden release of a rather large sea Pokemon.
Val shooked her head lightly and swung one hip out to the side, hand resting on it. She drew her head back and took a moment to figure out what the boy was doing with her Pokedex. The lights flashing across the screen projected a dazzling lights show on the boy's face. It only took a few moments for her to realize that she could be doing the same, but at this point it would make her seem a little less tough if she just followed his lead and began to scan his Magnemite. Plus, she really had no clue how to use her Pokedex. She hadn't even scanned her Lapras (who she is still unsure on what to name) who had been traveling with her since before the lab. Val snapped out of her daze when the boy spoke. "I took some personality test and the lab sent it to me." she started, peering up to the Pokemon behind her. It ducked its head further forward, resting it at nearly the same level as Erin's. Val rolled her eyes. It didn't make sense that she was paired with something that was as much of a gentle giant as Lapras when she tended to be a sarcastic little girl. At this point, she had come to the conclusion that it was some sick joke. It was completely possible that the personality test decided it needed to give her something to mellow her out, but she had not thought that far ahead. Her honest conclusion was that the personality test meant nothing and the results were just randomly spit out. "Valentina," she said proudly, "And how did you come upon your... floating metal ball?"
