Brighton's trajectory led directly to the horn of the charging pokemon, and since he was falling there was no way he could move out of the way. As the small blue pokemon braced for impact, his partner Clover launched a tiny fireball at him which hit him from the side and moved him out of the way of the deadly horn. It was a bit unorthodox but the Ponyta was smart enough to know her attack would not hurt her partner as bad as a full forced horn attack! Sun shouted out a new order, hoping to be more successful this time, "Clover, use flame wheel to speed ahead and cut Rhyhorn off! Try to corral it"! Clover sprang into action, charging forward alongside the Rhyhorn before cloaking herself in her main and tucking into a rolling action that turned her into a literal wheel of fire. If the plan succeeded, when she cut it off the flames would scare the Rhyhorn in another direction!
The Wynaut pulled himself off of the ground and dusted the char marks off of his side. It hurt a lot, but he knew it was better than meeting that horn! The young pokemon looked at his trainer, who was instructing his teammate, so he decided to act on his own accord! "Wywy! Naut!" He called out before a tv static-like glow took over his body and he clapped excitedly. This encore attack was his way of helping, but it didn't seem like it would be much of a help!

Syrus entered the gym arena with the gym leader ready to meet him. He knew that a simple meeting of the eyes was enough for the battle to start "Welcome challenger to the Oreburgh Gym! I am your Gym leader, Roark." Syrus looked up. "Umm hi...I'm..." He cleared his throat before continuing. "I'm Syrus, and I am here to challenge you to a battle" This time he spoke with more confidence, not wanting to lose the energy that he had raised on the way there. He called out his first pokemon, prompting his opponent to bring out his first pokemon. Rose stood in a flash of light, bowing slightly to her opponent, a small green pokemon with noticeably tough skin. "People often think Rock-types are boring and solid, but their Defenses are impenetrable! Do you want to test it out?" Roark called out. "we're gonna try! Roselia, Stun Spore!" He responded. Syrus pointed forward with his first call, wanting to start strong. Roselia spun her right harm in a circular motion, serenely firing off a cloud of yellow spores in the larvitar's direction. It was clear that the pokemon was rather slow. The cloud itself wasnt too fast, but larvitar didnt seem to be able to dodge. AS expected, Larvitar was having trouble moving. Larvitar retaliated with a similar attack, sweeping the dusty ground with an odd energy, and creating a sandstorm on the battlefield. Visibility immediately reduced to amongst nothing. Roselia attempted to sheild herself from the striking sand with her arms, but to no avail. Roselia attemoted to strike through the weather with a n extrasensory attack, Blasting through the sandstorm, but clearly missing the target. Through the the thick sandstorm, a strong grey attack came through, an ancientpower attack, that struck Rose perfectly. It seemed that Larvitar could see well in the storm but Rose could not. After a quick exchange of blows and a lucky strike from larvitar, the rock type struck Rose with a powerful Stone edge attack, leaving her on the ground in a daze. "This is a sandstorm! A Rock-type's natural element. With the sandstorm, all Pokemon but Rock-types take damage!" Roark explained. Syrus recalled Rose and pulled out another pokeball. "Then I'll send out a rock type as well" He tossed out a pokeball to reveal his next pokemon, Kaya. Kaya simply floated, not seeming to notice the flying sand striking her body at all. She looked around, being able to see the larvitar clearly. Syrus immediately called out the use of reflect to assist the carbink in defending against the gym leader's strength. A shining barrier surrounded carbink and moved around with her. Larvitar attempted to use screech a number of times to lower the defense of his pokemon, but it didnt work thanks to Cabink's own ability. Unfortunately, carbink's own attacks missed as well thanks to the sandstorm. Thanks to the carbink's defenses and the paralysis that the larvitar was under, Carbink defeated larvitar using the light from its dazzling gleam! "No! You may have bested me now, but show them, Binacle!" Roark called out. An odd pokemon emerged. It had two heads connected by a single rock. TO quickly fired off a water gun, defeating carbink in a flash. Syrus grit his teeth as he recalled his pokemon, thanking it for its efforts. Syrus called out his final pokemon, Grace, who instantly mirrored the binacle's movements, and ultimately its ability. Syrus wasnt entirely sure what the pokemon was. His pokedex beeped, but he didn't have tome to check it. Grace immediately followed suit with Rose and applied paralysis with thunder wave. Immediately, the binacle showed halted movements, allowing for Grace to apply a double team attack to increase her chances for survival. The binacle applied a shell smash, destroying its rock home and revealing two small pokemon that were both fast and strong. Each one lunged at Grace with a fury swipes attack, getting in three hits. Grace used the chance to attack, successfully hitting before binacle attempted another fury swipes. Luckily they struck one of the copies, allowing grace to strike a finishing blow. THe battle was over. "Congratulations, challenger. As a reward for besting me, you have now been awarded the Ore Badge! I will also reward you with this TM, Rock Tomb. It not only inflicts damage, but lowers the speed of the target. Use it wisely!" Roark congratulated. Syrus graciously accepted the items and thanked the gym leader before leaving to the pokemon center. After about an hour in the pokemon center, his pokemon came out energized and excited for what was next. He made sure to replenish his supplies and pokeballs before heading out. He heard a bit of a commotion on the other side of own, but his spirits were too high to get too involved. He went back to the area behind Orebugh that he had trained before, knowing that this was a way to the next city. With grace by his side, he was preparing himself for whatever came next. Event?dracoon"Yeah, yeah," Jada yawned, "Mud on the body leads to less damage from electrical attacks." She seemed unimpressed, though it was hard to see though the rain. "You know what else comes with playing in the mud like a child?" She shouted. "Added weight. There aint no way you can keep up with blitzle now." She grinned widely, showing her overconfidence once again. Her blitzle certainly was strong. The rain washed away any mud sticking to it, and the elecricity on its skin wasnt a problem, as it was unable to shock itself. Jada was however carefully watching blitzle's footing. She didnt want to risk a slip in this weather. Jada watched carefully as the magby ran about in a circle. Her ability to observe a battle wouldnt come into question with her ability to perceive the movements. "Ha, i'm surprised that your pokemon can move around like that in this environment. But if all you can do is run, you won't get much done here. " Jada scoffed at its attempts once again, calling out an attack to disrupt it. "Charge, please." Jada's blitzle began to shine brightly as it gathered electricity from the air. Its body, and especially its mane shined brightly. However, while focusing on this, it left itself wide open for attack. A strike to the leg caused it to halt and buckle from the wound, falling on one knee. Jada grit her teeth, apparently easily phased by even slight miscalculations. "Hmph. Nice strike, whatever. Let's see you endure this!" Blitzle fired off a familiar attack into the air, still unbalanced from the attack. The electricity formed was undoubtedly another shockwave attack, using the same form and style as when attacking earlier, however it was considerably stronger than last time due to the charge move. The electricity reached high enough to hit and gather in the storm cloud above, causing it to spark and darken. Within moments, large strands of electricity rained down from the tiny cloud. The strikes hit widely around the area below the small cloud, which was blitzle itself and anything around it. "The second use of the rain dance attack and our most powerful attack so far, Blitzle Bolts! The raincloud amplifies any electricity in it. and fires all around the area. It doesnt last long and we cant control where they land, but who cares, " she scoffed. "Blitzle only gets stronger when it is hit." She pointed towards the magby. "Can't say the same to your little candle over there." The rhyhorn sped ahead towards the flames, crashing through them instead. Unfortunately, rhyhorn took a few extra seconds to register potential danger, and was apparently too lacking in intelligence to see the flames as dangerous. As a result, the pokemon was briefly covered in flames, causing the small pokemom on its back to momentarily lose its grip. The rhyhorn stopped for a second, relieved at the lack of pain, however as the joltik recovered, the rhyhorn went back to rampaging. The large brown pokemon crashed into another building, downing a wall, before it continued onward in a different direction.

Manta From the mud, a lone purple lump seemed to move before converging together- a Grimer. It let out a terrific stench, and everyone that passed by it covered their noses as they walked past. Grimer seemed to be offended by this, just as a janitor looking man appeared to shoo the Grimer. "Ever since you appeared beside my store, I've been losing business!" cried out the shopkeeper indignantly, before he saw the boy approaching with his Ralts, "You there! You with the Ralts! You're a trainer, aren't you! Deal with this Grimer for me!" The shopkeeper swiped at the Grimer with his broom, only to have the angry Grimer latch onto it and melt it clean off with its toxins. It was obvious by now that this Grimer would be a difficult enemy to deal with. Found: Approx. Level: 15 Special Clause: n/a
Yoori once again shrugged. If anything, she was getting kind of tired of useless strategising and prattle- she understood, she just didn't see any need to use them. With a sidelong glance in case Lee-Kim was caught in the rain, she heaved a relieved sigh upon seeing he had found shelter before taking a deep breath seeing the rapid, random strikes of lightning torrent down upon them. Instead of running around to dodge, Magby shut his eyes and let the lightning pierce through his mud-crusted body instead, emboldened by the mud covering him. It wasn't difficult for him to move with the mud on him: if anything, he and the Blitzle were now tied in terms of speed. Magby wasn't showing signs of exhaustion when he should've felt like it by now, which was strange- Yoori's face flicked between worry and awe as Magby wiped his face, before letting out a stream of embers at the still Blitzle's legs. Instead of the small bursts that Yoori was used to, the embers began to converge around the Blitzle's body instead, seemingly trapping it inside a painful vortex. "Wait, what?" Yoori exclaimed, just as the vortex stopped and reverted to the usual Embers she was using to seeing. Magby snapped his claws, annoyed that he couldn't keep up the vortex before glaring once again in a quick Leer, hoping to stall out the rain before it was too late.

Syrus began to yawn, stopping abruptly when an offending odor took over his senses. He began coughing violently in shock and attempt to rid himself of the stench. Even Grace was making a sour face. Turning at a yelling townsperson, he was informed of the cause and basically ordered to handle it. Syrus made sure to breath through his mouth as he approached, setting Grace up to battle. He knew of her weaknesses. Poison types were a threat to her, but she also had an advantage with her own psychic attacks. Now within range, Syrus observed the situation. The pokemon in question didnt seem particularly hostile, but it was immensely unsanitary, and posed a threat to the surrounding townspeople. Because of this, he had to do something. "Grace, can you paralyze it?" Grace looked over concerned. Perhaps she didnt want to harm a non-hostile pokemon. "Ah- don't worry, I have a remedy in my bag when this is over. Please, use Thunder Wave!" Gace crossed her arms and gathered surrounding static electricity, firing the concentrated energy forward in weak electrical waves. dracoonIn the distance, Lee-Kim attempted to ride his bike over to the area of the battle, falling flat at each attempt to pedal. He apparently didnt deem it necessary to interfere with the battle, due to the latest success of his friend at the local Gym. As he looked on, Jada once again grit her teeth. Blitzle was enveloped in the heat of a week circle of fire, taking a bit of the oxygen from the area. It was undoubtedly weakened by the fallen rain, but the rain would cease soon. The clock was ticking. AS it was now, the charge move that had been used before protected blitzle from the flames as well. Jada was certain that the battle wouldnt last long for either opponent now. "Blitzle, charge!" She called. blitzle repeated its last action, erecting an aura of electricity that jumped about its body. Its defenses were stronger now, and it was primed for attack. Jada glared deeply at her opponent, not wanting to lose to what she deemed an ametuer.

Manta The sparks seemed to hinder the Grimer at close range, and the noxious stench rose to unbearable levels as the Grimer turned its sights at the smaller Ralts. Waving its gooey arms around, it let out a billowing, dark cloud of poisonous gas at the Ralts in an attempt to ward her off, slithering to before the boy and releasing several, half-corroded bicycles in its wake. Supposedly, the man ran a bicycle rental service to clear the sheer, muddy slopes of Oreburgh, and was having trouble with the Grimer being here. Once it was a bit closer, Grimer lunged, trying to use its blobby fist to Pound the Ralts before it.
The Leer did nothing to negate the second Charge- Blitzle was too bulky for the Embers to actually deal enough damage now, and Yoori would need to go completely physical in order to secure her win. She glanced at Lee-Kim worriedly seeing the boy constantly fall off his bike, feeling somewhat bad over abandoning him, but she refused to concede to some girl who obviously was just reciting off some strategy manuals. "Can you do the spinny thing again?" requested Yoori (she didn't even know what it was called!), and Magby gave her a weird look as if to ask what exactly she meant.
He did try, however, inhaling and letting out a heat-filled Smokescreen through the arena instead. The rain mixed with the smoke bomb and created an unnecessary wave of steam and haze, allowing Yoori some time to poke around her Pokédex to see what was happening. "Fire Spin is a damage-dealing Fire-type move. Fire Spin inflicts damage and traps the target, damaging the target at the end of each turn," the Pokédex dissected when she finally found what she wanted, and Magby cleared through the fog with his eyes glowing red to deal another Feint Attack in the form of an uppercut to the Blitzle. It was now or never.

Upon getting closer to the grimer, Grace's body began to give off the same offending odor as the grimer. What was worse was that Grace was just a few feet from Syrus, causing him to almost gag. I guess he couldnt choose when the trace ability would work out for him. As the cloud of poisonous gas came their way, Syrus nodded to Grace, with his shirt covering half of his face. Grace knew that she had permission to act, using her confusion attack to ward off and dissipate the poisonous gas before it got too close. Not only was Grace's confusion attack a psychic type attack, and thus had extra strength over the opposing move, but her attack also worked best on things that were light in weight. Unfortunately, Grimer was much too heavy for Grace to simply carry away with confusion. Syrus thought that she could have just sent the poison gas right back at the grimer, but thinking on it, it might have just made the pokemon stronger and worse...stinkier. Grace readied herself for the next command, with syrus calling out a reflect move as the grimer was coming closer for a physical attack. A light barrier surrounded Grace, following her as she moved. The pound attack struck hard, especially with the poisonous and filthy body of the opponent. It was basically a poison type attack. Grace attepted to make distance between herself and the grimer. If Syrus had known the effect of the grimer's attack, he may have tried for a teleport or double team move to dodge. He would have to try that this time. syrus and Grace waited patiently for the Grimer's next move, wanting to see what else it might do before proceeding. dracoonJada's move had backfired so far. In the dark mist and smoke, her charged up blitzle was bright and its position was completely visible, something that couldnt be said about the magby. Her orogonal plan of attack now needed to be changed. In a last ditch effort to finish the battle, she called out a final shock wave attack, The build up of power fro the charges unleashed in a surprising but furious stream of electrical bolts, all coming from the mane of the blitzle. Each bolt arched towards the ground, being strong enough to upturn rocks and hard soil wherever they hit. The fire spin quickly dissipated as the strikes combed the area. Blitzle, still on one knee, held too much confidence in its attack, not noticing the striking magby from behind. With a quick strike, blitzle was downed and the attack had ended. Jada fumed, screaming at the blitzle to get up. The black and white pokemon struggled to stand, only barely getting to its feet before the unthinkable happened. Lee Kim had sped past Lee, yelling loudly and clearly no longer in control of his bike. The bike and the trainer struck the blitzle, causing the pokemon to fall and faint. "Ugh!" Jada shouted. "What is your problem?! I had this little newbie and you had to interfere!" Jada recalled her pokemon, scowling at the two. "Fine then, next time, youre both going down." She packed up her things, and made her way to the upcoming bicycle bridge. "Dont you dare challenge me again until you have at least 3 badges. I am not wasting my time with an ametuer like you again."She sighed briefly. "You want that thing over there to get better or whatever? Get it to a snowy place or find it a nevermeltice. I dont have time to fix a broken pokemon. hmph." She ran off into the distance, entering a building built into the mountains. She looked like she was in a rush.

Manta The Grimer, suddenly noticing the Ralts giving off the same smell as it did, seemed to suddenly grow a bit more reconciliatory. When its punch was deflected, Grimer wiggled and seemed confused that the 'friendly' Pokémon was protecting herself against it. It was obvious Grimer wasn't particularly smart- then again, it was difficult to have some form of intelligence considering it was a sentient pile of goo. Grimer let out a belch, sending a noxious Sludge flying at the Ralts' direction when the Ralts escaped, but it was flailing around so much that the accuracy of the move was questionable at best.
Magby once more landed a reckless strike on the Blitzle before somersaulting back, panting. As the Blitzle struggled to get up, the perceptive duck heard a scream and covered his eyes just as Lee-Kim collided with the arrogant girl with his bike. "W-well," Yoori stated dryly, wiping her mud-crusted face to add more mud to her pale features, "That's a nice end to the battle." Magby quickly tried to push Lee-Kim's bicycle back up, and she went to help the boy up. "Um, thanks? I guess? And sorry for abandoning you and the bike. I got...mad," she stated, trying to tamp down her guilt from potentially causing an accident.
Magby by then was down on his knees, but he watched the large mountain loom ahead. "Return, Magby. You held your own," Yoori called, but Magby dodged the recall beam and laid flat in the mud, refusing to move. "What's up? You don't want to rest?" Yoori asked, confused by his behaviour before shaking the last bit of her first Full Restore and spraying it on Magby. The mud seemed to disappear from the little duck as he jumped back up, rejuvenated, and he soon began helping Lee-Kim steady his bike. Yoori went to the icebox and retrieved the Bergmite, kneeling down on one knee as she offered a Pokéball to it. "Let's screw them up together," she stated confidently, "Everyone who's looked down upon us will know our wrath."

Grace let her fear of poison type attacks show when she frantically tried to dodge the skudge attack, completely forgetting the moves that she had learned for evasion. After getting a safe distance from the bubbling mass of sludge, Syrus decoded to call out his own attack. "Grace, push it back with confusion!" Grace's eyes glowed brightly as it focused on producing a wall of psychic power. The wall itself was slightly visible, especially in the sunlight. It pushed forward, churning dirt and swirling dust as it moved in an attempt to move the grimer away from the shop B e r g m i t e C a p t u r e d
Impish Nature Increase Defense Decrease Special Attack Bio: Bergmite lived near Lake Acuity in the snowy region near Snowpoint City. It thrived there, using its talents to freeze the edge of the water and essentially skating over the water and smooth surfaces to move fast. Bergmite was caught by a trainer and then traded to another later on. One trainer used harsh methods for training and had high expectations, leading to a broken horn. Out of its natural and comfortable environment, Bermite was unable to use its ice type moves properly and could not repair its horn like normal. This led to a decrease in strength and its eventual release. Bergmite is shy and rather oblivious to events around itself, which are mostly evident when it is warm environments. Cold environments however change its attitude, leading it to perform well and become more outgoing. Bermite is very cautious, and will heal the rest of its body with recover if it feels like it is in danger.
Nuance: Cannot use Ice type moves properly or evolve while horn is broken. To fix, Bermite needs to be in a snowy environment or hold the Item Nevermeltice.

Manta Of course, the Grimer was pushed back by the Confusion, which also dealt it super-effective damage. Annoyed by this, and guessing the 'friendly' Pokémon wasn't here to play with it, the Grimer seemed to get serious. Sparkles danced off its goopy body as it used a Harden, before it grabbed a glob of mud off the ground, hurling it at the Ralts in an attempt to mislead it into thinking another Sludge was coming, hopefully lowering its accuracy. Its lowered Speed hindered the already slow Pokémon, however, and the sparks occasionally crackled, causing the Grimer pain as it vigorously held its own against the Ralts.
As the Bergmite was sucked into the Ball, Yoori stretched and turned to Lee-Kim, catching up to him and stabilising his bike. Magby, ever helpful, retrieved hers as well, pushing it carefully by guiding it with his paws to her. "Alright, after that little blip, we should be ready to rumble," she continued, looking down at the many holes around them that hadn't been ruined by the previous rain. Magby pulled at her pant leg, trying to get her to move towards the mountain instead, and Yoori finally recalled him. "We'll get there when we get the Shuckle, god," complained Yoori, annoyed as it was now Scraggy's turn to release himself. "Let's go check out some new Shuckles! There has to be one here somewhere...right? You mentioned they hang around these parts," Yoori mused aloud, trying to confirm Lee-Kim's words in her head as she hunted for any sign of the iconic red shells Shuckles were renowned to have.

Syrus was starting to get dizzy from the deep odors of the battling pokemon. He quickly plugged his nose to attempt to remedy the problem. He didnt have too much time to respond. He could feel that his ability to stay in that area was at its limit. Preoccupied with the smell, Syrus was a few moments off with his command to stop the ball of mud with confusion. Instead, it simply slowed down, still hitting its target, and momentarily blinding Grace. The emotion pokemon shook herself to rid herself of the large clumps and attempted to wipe her face clean with her arms. She was noticably irritated by the strike, showing a less than calm nature. Without even waiting for her trainer to respond, Grace held out her arms and unleashed a bright dazzling gleam attack, showering the area in a brilliant light. Syrus didnt so much mind the retaliation at this point. Anything to rid himself of the smell. dracoon lee-Kim was having a bit of trouble hearing the other trainer's words. Having fallen, he had yet to make any effort to rise, instead staring forward with a mighty grin on his face. "I found one." He muttered under his breath. "There," He shouted nervously, "over there!" Lee Kim Pointed to a cracked rock ahead of him. From a standing position, it would look like a slightly damaged stone. At his position, however, a bright yellow body could be seen. "A shuckle!" The boy rose quickly, letting his bike sit on the ground, and made his way over to the pokemon. Through his tunnel vision, Lee Kim did not pay attention to the pokemon atop the rock, a tiny red and black bird. From where it stood, it assumed the boy was coming to attack it, flying up and beginning an attack. Lee-Kim's Metang charged in a flash, blocking the attack. "Umm..." Lee-Kim began. "Could you take care of this one for me? I am only interested in the shuckle." Pokemon found: Approximate level: 11 Special Move(s): Flame Charge

Yumi took her time waking up and getting ready. She had been crying that night and knew that it would show on her face if she didnt properly get ready. That wasnt the only thing however. She really needed time for herself. She was determined now, she was getting a badge and she was gonna move on. She had to to meet her goal. Her determination couldnt falter here. Syrus was still on her mind. He had beaten her too many times. She wanted to call him a rival but...Not until she could see herself on his level. She had to rise on her own first. Yumi picked through her belongings, taking out her pokeballs. She had plenty of pokemon who were all undoubtedly strong on their own. It was up to her to bring out their potential for sure. She couldnt wait. After a brief breakfast, she made her way to the gym. Her pokemon were refreshed, so there wasnt anything to worry about. But what of this gym leader? Was he strong? He had to be. Was she ready for the challenge? There wasnt any place for her to question herself now. It wasnt as if she could turn back now. "Oi!" She called out. "I wanna shot at this gym! Give me your best. We're here to win!"
Gym Battle
A few steps into the gym, Yumi was greeted by the gym leader. At first glance, she thought of him as a nerd, most likely due to his glasses and tiny frame. It was kind of disappointing. But she had to remind herself of who he was. He was the most powerful trainer in the town for sure. As he spoke, Yumi noticed that his voice wasn't too different than she would normally expect. It sort of matched his appearance. "Hello Trainer, and Welcome to the Oreburgh Gym! I am Roark, the Gym Leader here. I will show you are rock solid resolve during this battle. Show us what you can do!" Yumi smiled a bit. At least he wasnt condescending.
Yumi pulled out a pokeball and released her pokemon. Ken, the Honedge was up first. She was determined not to lose more than two pokemon this battle. It wouldnt be right to win the battle with by winning with numbers. "Ken, we give it all you got, okay?" Honedge spun in the air and clinked loudly. Roark sent out a red rock pokemon with yellow limbs. It was weird to say the least. More than that, it looked weak. It had to be a trick. There had to be more to it than that. She decided to test it out. "reflect!" She shouted. She didnt know what to expect, but prepared herself. The shuckle just shot off some web on her side of the field. It was odd, but honedge simply floated above it. A repeat of the previous turn developed with honedge strengthening its side while the shuckle set up hazardous moves on her side. This time, honedge repeated a swords dance to strengthen itself until it was fully strengthened, firing off a flurry of fury cutters when it was done. The shuckle tried to slow it down and damage it with rock tomb attacks, but they ended up ineffective against the highly defensive steel type. What was more, the fury cutter was only getting stronger with each strike. Within just a few more hits, shuckle had fainted.
Yumi's pride was healed a bit from her honedge;s accomplishment, and it only got better with time. Roark;s second and last pokemon was an onix. She had actually seen one before. They towered over her and basically everything else, showing off impressive power. Honedge was still hyped up on power, striking quickly to severely hurt the onix. This was looking more one sided now. Onix tried to strengthen its defenses, but it was for nought. Honedge pushed through, only getting stronger with each blow. Though it was slow due to the rock tomb's impairment, its blade could push through any attack thrown at it now. Quicker than before, honedge downed the onix with its mighty sword, winning the battle.
Yumi stood silent, amazed that she had done so well. Her honedge had secured victory against the clearly stronger opponents. It was a surprise, but also a mighty big boost to her self esteem. "Oh wow! You are the toughest challenger that I have faced in a while. Well, you've earned it! This is the Ore Badge. Take it and go as far as you can! Oh! While I have you here, please take this TM. It is sandstorm! This will change the battlefield to your advantage if you use it wisely." Yumi kindly accepted the gift, placing it in her side bag and took her leave.
Outside of the gym, Yumi took in a deep breath and shouted. "Aaaalriiiiight!!!" Her voice echoed through the area. She placed the badge on the inside of her jacket, walking over past the pokemon center. She then caught sight of a shop that was offering bikes. Looking over at the trouble she would face, walking all the way to the next town, she took a look inside.

On the outskirts of the city, a lone bikeshop stood, waiting for passerbys. A man who was most likley the owner stepped out, he had a frown on his face and a few colorful pieces of paper in his hand. He searched frantically throught the sun's strong beams to scan the area. "Hey! You there!" He hollered from afar. "I see you you over there!" He rushed over, leering at teh badge attached to the girls clothing. "You got a badge, yeah? Will you ride one of my bikes around the region? As long as you keep my advertisement on the bijem you can have it for free!" The man pulled out a bike voucher and waved it in Yumi's face like a pendulum. "Good deal, yeah? Take your pick"
