I'm still interested as well, but I won't be here starting Thursday - I'll be back on Sunday. I think. Nobody's given me enough information about this family trip tbh.

Sorry for my absence the last few days, I am most definitely still interested in continuing the RP but was worried it had died. However, I have updated my profile accordingly and still am hopeful to join! For anyone interested in names, Goshi is Japanese for "five fingers" and is a pun because pentapodes have have finger tentacles (as well as five eyes). I just added him because I thought he made a cute pet and familiar and the pentapus is indigenous to the Earth Kingdom, after all~

Well, it's basically just getting it set up. So far we are set up right by Ba Sing Se, so you have opportunity to meet someone there. Basically, just get an intro up of kip starting his journey?

I hope this RP is still open!
name: Iqaluk age: 18 gender: Male sexuality: Homosexual bender type: Waterbender
appearance: Iqaluk possesses the standard look of many people from the Northern Water Tribe, grey-blue eyes, unkempt dark brown hair which he keeps in a short ponytail, and a light brown skin tone. Standing at 5'8", he has a somewhat athletic build having practiced his bending and various techniques nearly everyday of his life. Though his hands are quite delicate and small for a boy his age, this has not restrained his ability to bend. Iqaluk's chin has been described to him as squarish and his jaw slightly chiseled. Typically he is seen with the usual Water Tribe clothing, light blue fur trimmed anorak and pants and occasionally fur gloves.
personality: Idealist, reserved, orderly, occasionally sarcastic, frivolous, calm, thorough, persistent, quiet, stubborn, assertive when necessary, impulsive, rash, usually only truly kind to those he considers to be close interests & hobbies: Causing slight mischief with his bending, making (and destroying) ice sculptures, skating, ice-surfing
history/background: Given that his grandfather was a renowned waterbender instructor, it was expected that Iqaluk would one day follow in his foot steps when his father refused so many years ago. Seeing as how Iqaluk was abandoned by both parents as a toddler (who had disappeared for unknown reasons), Iqaluk was lead to initially believe that it was only right for him to be the best where his father had failed. But as the years passed, Iqaluk's grandfather became frustrated with Iqaluk's rate of progress in advancing as a bender and training became more strict and rigorous. As a result, Iqaluk began to feel more incompetent and struggled to push himself harder.
Becoming tiresome of his treatment by his grandfather, he found solace in other things, such as skating and sneaking out at night to surf the waters at high speeds. It didn't matter much what he did, as long as he could feel a sense of freedom, like soaring.
Iqaluk's respect for his grandfather quickly turned to resentment as he became more bitter and easily angered with each training session. This continued on for another three years until it escalated to the point where his grandfather had resorted to using violence as a method of getting Iqaluk to learn more quickly. Knowing he would not tolerate this in the slightest, Iqaluk decided to run away knowing he couldn't stay in the Northern Water Tribe where his grandfather could easily find him.
Around the same time, the rumours began circulate. The Avatar had been discovered? It seemed like the perfect sign for him. He broke through the giant wall of ice that separated him from freedom and sailed off on a Water Tribe Navy infantry boat he stole, never looking back.
other: > Theme song: Daisy (Instrumental) by STEREO DIVE FOUNDATION > Iqaluk means trout in Inuktitut, but it can also refer to salmon or any fish in general.
I hope this app works. c:

I think I'm going to apply with an earth/sand bender who practices geomancy. Like a shaman or an oracle

Oh, yeah, seeing "minor" bending styles here would be cool. Foggy Swamp waterbenders, unite!
IntricatePolygons Hmmm...what do you think are the chances of Iqaluk and Kassuq knowing each other?

MiniThanks so much! C: WyndiI think there'd be a good chance that they would know each other. Iqaluk could probably have met Kassuq while doing things on the water while he fished (unless it was more of ice fishing that he practiced).

Yeah, sounds good! I was thinking Kassuq was more of a "let's waterbend the water around the fish" kind of fisherman anyway....Normal fishing takes tons of time and patience, which is in short supply if you're fishing out of necessity.
