Gong picked up the berry she had stepped on, letting out a happy thrill at finding something and offering it to Dongyoon after rubbing it on her rubbery body a few times to clean the dirt off it. "Nice...what is this Berry again?" asked Dongyoon, confused for a few moments before putting the berry away- it was probably from a gardener's truck that passed by. He ordered several drinks at the counter- a Berry Juice for Gong, some Fresh Water for Gwi and a can of motor oil for Gieo. The Klink released themself hearing the noise of the can being served, the two gears using one straw each as they slurped up the delicious oil. Gong sat on the chair across Dongyoon, sipping on her Berry Juice as she let out a 'eek' at another green Grimer slipping past her, digging through the trash can next to the café to find food. Gwi, however, had never been served liquids, proceeding to douse himself with it and wore the cup on his twirled tendril like a hat, confused at what he was supposed to do.
Dongyoon had a cup of cappuccino, resting one leg over the other as he drank, still in deep thought over what he had seen before. He wasn't the kind to forget easily. Maybe he would visit the woman one last time before heading out of Lumiose. The boy just...couldn't quite fathom how people could live that way- from hand to mouth in a hole in the wall. It almost made him feel bad for being that depressed over a considerably less serious accident. With a sigh, he continued to drink almost absently, lost in thought by the relaxing mood.

dracoon - A small yet heavily armored pokemon dragged itself across the floor and then stopped to stare at Dongyoon curiously. It worked at the shop and made delicious berry juice for everyone to enjoy, and was quite thrilled to see the Azumarill enjoying its product. It didn't seem to care much for the Klink, however, as it wouldn't be able to enjoy its handiwork. "That pokemon there is Shuckle! He's got a natural gift when it comes to making Berry Juice!" The man behind the counter smiled, "It looks like he likes you." He laughed and leaned over the counter to smile at his pokemon. "If you have a berry we'll be more than happy to turn it into delicious Berry Juice."

Gong gave the Shuckle a little pat on the head, surprised and amused. She had never seen a Shuckle before, and Dongyoon was just as surprised. After all, Shuckles weren't native to Sinnoh generally, and rare in Kalos. Not everyone had access to the TM for Rock Smash, after all, and Dongyoon snuck a scan in for the Shuckle while he listened to the other. "Uh, actually, I do," he mentioned, pulling out the Belue Berry once more and offering it to the man at the counter, "My Azumarill brought it to me just now, and I just thought it'll be nice since you were so nice to offer." The distraction was good enough to pull Dongyoon out of his thoughts, and he smiled as he let the man survey his questionable berry- in the meantime, he checked his Xtransceiver for the information of Shuckle he wanted. "Shuckle, the Mold Pokémon. Rather than actively hunting and foraging for food like most other Pokémon, Shuckle collects Berries and stores them in its shell. The Berries inside are liquefied and fermented while they decompose by Shuckle's digestive juices, which it then consumes. Its digestive juices are also used to dissolve rocks so Shuckle can hide under them," explained the Pokédex, and Dongyoon shut it off before returning his gaze to Gong, who was getting a little carried away petting the Shuckle's strange squishy head like a puppy.

speshal In a nearby flowershop, a noticeably tall employee was out watering the plants. It looked like a high end place, and the water used looked imported to match. he simply put on a spray top to a few large bottles of imported water and liberally sprayed the surrounding foliage. Hidden among his wares was a small green pokemon. From the position of the employee, the pokemon could not be seen, though from any other position, it would have been obvious. The small pokemon looked overjoyed to be having such pure and clean water sprayed upon it. As the employee left, the small green pokemon hopped out from the various flowers, and began to walk away, its tiny feet moving twice as fast to match the speed of the people around it. After escaping the presence, and more importantly the stench, of the Trubbish, Aspen and his crew stopped to regroup. He took a moment to inspect each of his Pokemon to be sure they weren't severely harmed from any of the recent battles. Luckily, they were just a bit tired and would recover over time. Nessa seemed to recover quicker, however, by utilizing Synthesis in any spot out of the shade. Within a few minutes, the group found themselves outside a flower shop. The aroma alone sparked homesickness in Aspen. He began to think of the greenhouse in Floaroma and the scent of flowers that carried through each street of the small town. Before he could realize it, he had entered the store. Obviously, he couldn't buy anything being that in his nomadic state he had no place to plant it, but it was nice to browse and take in the different sights and scents of imported and regional flowers. It only took a little while before the group was tired and ready to make their way further down the street. Once reaching the door, Aspen opened it and waited at the entrance for a tall employee of the shop to clear out of his way. He seemed to be preoccupied watering the plants. Honestly, Aspen couldn't blame him. They were beautiful. Then, as the man passed by him and closed the door, a small Pokemon hopped from the flowers and began to wander through the crowd. The crew followed it, intrigued by what it was and where it was going. Once it eventually slowed down, Aspen could make out that it was a Budew, a Pokemon that appeared in abundance at home. It turned toward a small green space between two buildings. Again, the crew followed it in. The Budew quickly noticed but played it cool. It continued on until it knew that it could retaliate to any attack the strangers may dish out. Sadly, neither one knew that the other's intentions were not to battle. Fearing for its safety, the Budew struck. It began to shake the small bud on its head to scatter yellow spores across the path. If any Pokemon walked across, they would surely feel the effects. This meant the battle had to be fought from either side. No physical moves would be quite as effective against their opponent. The Budew attacked again, shooting a small stinger from its bud. It stuck in Penny's fur, piercing her skin only slightly. Small green orbs began to glow around it before shooting toward the Budew. "Oh, okay," Aspen said, readying himself for the fight, "Penny, use Supersonic." Penny had yet to use this move much. Lately it had been mostly Psybeam, and since they met had just been Tackle or Confusion. Because Aspen knew the future held some sort of larger battles, he wanted to develop their movesets so that they were each comfortable using any attack. Penny's antenna pointed forward toward the Budew and began to vibrate, shooting high frequency sound waves at her target. They began to bounce off the walls of the neighboring buildings, not only giving the small Pokemon small head pains but also creating confusion and paranoia involving its surroundings. It began to spin around, shooting more Mega Drain needles out in random directions. Most stuck in the walls of neighboring buildings, others in the trees or bushes of the green space. Being that they were being fired off at an easily observed rate, Penny managed to dodge them all. "Good! Now use Psybeam!" Aspen commanded. The small bug pointed its antenna forward once again. They began to glow the same opalescent tone as before before releasing a twisted beam of rainbow lights at the Budew. It tried to focus on the attack to dodge it but found itself frozen in place. Any time it moved its head the bouncing waves echoed and caused its vision to double and head to spin. The Budew stood still and braced for the attack. Its preparation made some of the blow easier to manage, but left it feeling rather weak. Aspen, sensing his chance, pulled a Pokeball from his backpack and chucked it across the Stun Spore-littered battlefield. [[Catch attempt?]]

Manta walked over to pick up the pokeball and exhaled. "You really couldn't wait to battle a fake of Sally, huh? haha." Malie blushed, attempting to hide her smile. Manta chuckled a bit as he made his way to the center of the town. It was pretty easy thanks to the enormous landmark. It was a giant tower, much bigger than any man made structure in Alola. It looked like it was closed though. There was a sign on the door that said so after all. It looked like the gym and the main source of power. He had read about gym battles. They seemed pretty interesting, but he had never done one. It looked like he wouldn't get his chance today... After circling around a bit, Manta found the pokemon center, healing both Malie and Ditto. He didn't need to worry about Sally. She would come back when she felt like it. He left in a hurry, not wanting to fall behind the other trainers. "You know..." He bagan, "We could always get a bit stronger haha". He was half joking, but what the professors had said concerned him. How would he take on hordes of alolan pokemon? It seemed like an impossible task for so few trainers. Professor Kakui chose him because of his talent of combining attacks, but that was more of a hobby. He thought a bit while he walked. His ability to combine attacks works better with versitility. If he caught more pokemon, he may be able to do more. But of course he would have to get better himself. He would need money to feed them all and time to train them as well. Sally was self sufficient so she was low mantainence and Malie only ate a little. But what if he caught a snorlax? Manta shuddered at the thought of the massive food bills. "I dont know about that haha" He chuckled to himself. "I guess it is a little much to wirry about now. While Malie was with him, he should be able to handle himself.

Accepting the new Berry Juice, Dongyoon listened with interest as the man explained its uses- a more potent version of what Gong was drinking, it could be used to heal Pokémon as well. He placed the bottle in his bag with his Moomoo Milks, thanking the man before returning outside, his Pokémon following easily. The path soon narrowed as they continued to walk, and Dongyoon unconsciously slowed down seeing the Gym that came in view. While it was mostly a tourist attraction at the bottom floor, Dongyoon looked at the plaque with the various names of victorious Trainers and settled upon the holographic name of his mother Yoori engraved as one of the earliest listed. Sure enough, accompanying this was a photograph of a smiling, young girl clad in fiery red clutching her Scraggy in a deathgrip, and Dongyoon hid a shy smile while continuing to browse. After finding nothing of interest, he soon exited, noticing the green Grimers once again milling around, absorbing the trash carelessly tossed to the ground by tourists. He waffled on calling his mother, but eventually did, flicking his Xtransceiver on as the holographic view of the older, auburn haired woman came to view.
"Hey, mum," Dongyoon began, making light talk as he sat on a bench, Gong constantly peering into the view of the hologram and waving happily, "Umm, Kalos changed a lot, huh?" Yoori raised an eyebrow, arms folded as Scrafty came to view one more, giving a friendly wave back before carefully compiling some documents to bring outside, before she sighed, pinched her brows and stated, "Do you even remember why you came back? Or have you been sightseeing this entire time?" Dongyoon shrugged, explaining that he just got a bunch of free gifts from the Professor before feeling the hologram flicker vigorously with Yoori's rising temper. "What? Was I wrong?" he protested, and Yoori closed her eyes, still pinching her brows. "Does the words 'Alolan pandemic' ring any bells to you?" she stated plainly, and Dongyoon froze, the brunt of the letter's contents from before hitting him like a pile of bricks. "I'm-- It totally--" he sputtered, and his mother impatiently waved him off (Scrafty returned once more with a casual wave, noticing the change in mood and making a throat slitting motion to Dongyoon in the background to remind him to stop talking) before shutting off the call.
Dongyoon slumped in the bench chair, pinching his brows the same way his mother had just did.

dracoon Out in the nearby marketplace, a small brown pokemon could be seen sneaking around conspicuously. It bumped into table after table, catching the attention of most of the vendors before they decided to ignore it. Despite this, at least based on the facial expressions of the small pokemon, it was fully convinced that its actions were going without notice. After a a few more minutes of this, the small pokemon came across the rare berry stand. Overpriced berries from all over the region were sold on that cart. The tiny pokemon hid under the table, reaching over the edge to nab an enigma berry. Before the shop owner had time to notice, Chespin gobbled up the mysterious fruit. Dongyoon eventually went to walk around the stands, looking to pass his time and actually be productive. He was rudely interrupted by something bumping against his leg, however, and Gong chittered while waving her tiny paw as she cursed out whoever had just whizzed between them. Gwi, however, had seen everything happen from above, and with a dramatic spin, appearing in a puff of smoke before the Chespin who had just swallowed the Enigma Berry. Chespin, startled, tumbled out of the stand, Gwi following with a (falsely) sinister expression as the standowner shouted, waving a hammy fist at the fly thief. "You there! Boy!" he called out to Dongyoon, who lifted his head confusedly at the man's booming cry, "That Chespin is yours, right? Don't give me that look, all kids in Kalos start with those set three. Do something, or we'd do it for you!" Dongyoon blinked dumbly at the threat, but finally registered Gwi making advances at Chespin and knew he was locked in battle.
He easily recognised the little Pokémon, being that the man was right- it really was one of those common starters Sycamore handed out. The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock. he remembered the Pokédex say, and Gwi blew a light mist of snowflakes at the Chespin, eager to mess with the other. The small Pokémon shuddered visibly, sensing the cold (51, 1-10 for freeze), but quickly leapt forward, fangs bared as it sunk its teeth into the ghost with a Super-effective Bite. Gwi, startled by this and having never been hit by a move like that merely dropped his tendrils, too shocked to register the Chespin brandishing a vine coming out of its underarm and smacking him with it (1, 30 and below for flinch). Dongyoon cursed as Gwi dropped like a stone to the ground, fading in and out as he steadied quickly, eyes glowering with anger and indignant as he flared at the Chespin, using Astonish. The Chespin, however, had had enough of the Duskull's antics (92, 30 and below for flinch) and once against struck Gwi with another Vine Whip, visibly gaining the upper hand.
"Gwi, come back!" Dongyoon yelled, recalling his exhausted Duskull as Gong stepped in, grabbing the triumphant Chespin's vine and shaking it vigorously with her paws before releasing it, charging at the disoriented Chespin in a Tackle. "Zu!" the Azumarill cried, running over the smaller Pokemon before it cleared the stars from its head, grabbing Gong by the ankle with the Vine Whip and trying to drag her across the ground. The Azumarill rolled herself into a ball in a Defense Curl manuvour, before rapidly increasing her weight by barrelling towards the Chespin in a Rollout- while Chespin too rolled itself up, using the exact same move as Gong was. Both rolled up Pokémon crashed together, pushing against each other, but Gong, with her boosted one, easily won out, and once again, the Chespin was flattened. Gong got up, battered from being dragged across the ground like this and spitting out the asphalt, watching the smoke clear as the Chespin buckled, finally falling to its knees and passing out.
The glares from the group of stall owners indicated that they had assumed the troublemaker was the boy's, and with much reluctance, Dongyoon decided to haphazardly throw a Premier Ball to try his luck. He could probably release it later, away from the stalls, or surrender it back to Sycamore.

When the rocking stopped and the glow from the trigger faded, he knew it had been finish. He had only previously captured Nessa and Penny, which were voluntary captures, making this his first battle-related capture. Knowing that the Budew must be at least a little tired from the battle, he chose to let it rest in its ball for now. He would have liked to have released it to carry it around, but being that it could still be frustrated that it was caught it could lead to some sort of conflict within the small group. He took a short tour around the green space, noting all of the plants that he knew and the ones he had never seen before. Kalos' flora did not differ that much from Sinnoh's within the city, but Aspen was eager to see what kinds of plants grew throughout the region. If nothing else, he could snag a bulb or seed pod from something pretty and send it home to be grown in his family's greenhouse (assuming they didn't shut it down for the season with him being gone). After deciding he had seen everything he could there, he exited to the street and continued walking. There were so many alleyways and interesting shops, each with their own unique character about them. He waited for someone or something to grab his attention, otherwise he would end up stopping every few feet. [[Event?]]

Item Found: (Don't ever talk to me about luck ever again >_>) After a bit of wandering down the street, he began to lose interest in the businesses around he. He was becoming acclimated to the new environment and was not interested in much at all unless it directly called out to him. A few vendors tried to pitch to him, but they weren't too interesting. Each one just tried shoving a product at him and asking for money, a behavior he was definitely not interested in feeding into. Penny and Nessa still trotted close to him while the newly caught Budew rested in its Pokeball. Aspen pondered names, but figured it would be unfair to give it a nickname without actually spending any time with it. Penny let out a small chirp a few moments after a vendor had tried to push some cheap product on her trainer. Aspen shrugged it off, assuming it was just her showing some interest in the product they were selling. The Venonat let out one more chirp of frustration and picked up the glowing stone from the ground, unsure what it was but recognizing the value. It was much too valuable to have been simply thrown aside. Some vendor had to have dropped it on his way to set up for the day and just forgotten it. Regardless, she would hold on to it and give it to Aspen when they decided to stop for a moment. [[Event?]]

When the bird came into view, Sun quickly noticed the fullness in its belly. She smiled and laughed a little at the gluttonous pokemon, navigating her way around it. She had seen plenty of Taillow back home to know that they are hard hitters and they have a clear advantage over her current team. She would need to catch a pokemon that can handle a flying type foe head-to-head if she wanted to complete her mission in Kalos. She snapped a quick picture of the wild pokemon before facing forward again and walking a bit along the street. The girl decided to head somewhere more interesting, there was plenty of shopping to do in less tourist-y towns anyway!

@everyone A scream came from down the street, just out of sight. Then another, and another still. Screams and shouts were apparently coming up throughout the city. It wouldnt take long to find the source. Creeping out of basically every manhole cover and open drain were almost endless hordes of green grimer. each one desperately searching for and stealing just about anything that wasn't nailed down. They snatched cell phones and pagers from the citizens, serving equipment from the vendors, books from the schoolchildren, and anything else that they could get their hands on. Some gobbled them up the instant they took the items, while others returned to the sewers with their pilfered prizes. There was an immediate ringing on the holocaster. a fuzzy image of professor Sycamore appeared as well as a few familiar faces. "Can you hear me? Oh boy." The nervous ramblings could still be heard through the static. "Lumiose city is under attack! It appears that the grimer that came from the Alola region are running wild! They were originally accepted because they consumed the trash in the area, but with not enough trash remaining for their sustenance, they have turned to simply taking man made things and consuming them!" His face was surprisingly serious considering who was speaking. "We need the help of you trainers. All of you. Please take care of this mess!" The professor seemingly left the chair that he was broadcasting from in quite the hurry, turning the halocaster off and ending the abruptly. Almost immediately, battles broke out all over the city. Some from the citizens, and some notably from the trainers from the meeting. Each was taking on grimer of their own, at least two at a time. Closeby, one of the chosen trainers shouted out. "The Muk! Take out the Muk and the rest with run!" The message traveled fast among the chosen trainers. they barely knew each other but shouted the message to pass it along quickly, not even looking up from their battles. Some of the grimer who were returning with stolen goods came back to the manholes with bruises and scrapes, seemingly calling for help. Each time the covers around the city were opened, a brief glimpse of large bright eyes could be seen, obviously observing...

- A small kitten sleeping on the doorstep to a building yawned and looked up to see a trainer passing by. Bored and playful, the pokemon decided it was time for some fun! It let out a loud cry before rushing in to attack with a cat-punch full of evil energy
(Skitty, Male, Lv: 18, Moves: Sucker Punch) As the team carried on down the street they were taken by surprise by the unsuspecting kitten resting on a doorstep nearby. It seemed as if one minute it was asleep, and the next it was leaping through the air and planting its glowing paw firmly on Nessa's side. The Petilil was sent back a bit, unable to brace herself for the attack after being taken by surprise. The Skitty let out a small meow, taunting the group. Aspen, after finally assessing the situation, commanded Nessa to attack. "Leech Seed!" he said, hoping she was ready to fight. Nessa's shook herself, returning her head-leaves that had been forced in multiple directions due to the impact of the last attack back to their upright position. Her leafy collar began to glow as she gave a small jump and twirl forward. Upon reaching the ground, a small bundle of a seeds were launched toward the ground surrounding the Skitty. Each sprouted quickly. Many died as they tried to root in the pavement, while a few latched onto the cat. It tried for a few seconds to shake the parasitic plants, but it was to no avail. Skitty lunged for Nessa again, this time replicating the spin that she had attacking it. It spun not once, but three times to strike with its tail. The Double-Slap did not inflict much damage, but like the Sucker Punch before, it left Nessa feeling quick shocked. She stood her ground, however, and allowed the small seeds to steal the enemy's life for her own benefit. "Nessa, use Mega Drain! You've gotta get yourself back in this!" Aspen called out, noticing how much more the Skitty's attacks were doing. They chipping away at Nessa's health at a rate much quicker than what she could recover with just the Leech Seed. The Petilil ran forward and dodged the side of the Skitty who had been spinning around, trying to nip the seeds off her coat. Nessa's collar began to glow as she gave a small twirl and stopped in place, a cluster of light green orbs forming around her. She shook her head and the orbs formed into a concentrated stream, each colliding with the enemy Skitty. They entered her small body and circled out, flowing back toward Nessa and restoring her energy. The Skitty felt his energy draining but paid little attention to Nessa. It seemed that the plants that were growing on it had just sent a bundle of light themselves to her, draining more energy and restoring the opponent's. After this it finally managed to pick off some of the weaker plants, leaving only a few which wilted and died before it could even attempt to dig at the roots. The cat started to rush forward but found itself feeling weak, clearly drained from the small Pokemon's attacks. It stopped and released a high-pitched Disarming Voice. The distortion caused by the sound waves it released were clearly visible to anyone more than a few feet away, but were difficult to see up close. For this reason, Nessa was unable to dodge the attack and took the full force of it. She tried to plant herself firmly in place, but the attack was strong enough to send her sliding back a bit. "Okay, Ness. It's weak, real weak. We gotta finish this. Use Magical Leaf!" Aspen commanded. The Petilil nodded, but lost track of her footing in the process. The end of the attack send her tumbling back a few feet. She picked herself up and shook off any excess dust. It hurt, but not enough to stop her from finishing the battle. Nessa began running toward Skitty, this time much faster than before, and took to the air, spinning as she did with all of her other attacks. The leaves on her head began to glow purple and replicate, surrounding her like floating daggers. When her small feet touched the ground, the blade storm was unleashed on the cat. It dodged forward and back, missing many of the early leaves. After a few movements it grew tired, however, and was struck by a larger group of them. After the attack had finished, it laid on the ground for a moment, staring at the group. Within a few seconds it admitted defeat, standing up and walking back to its doorstep with its head hung low. ~ The group continued on, this time in the streets of the city. The steady vibe of the city was interrupted by the screeches of people. At first, it was just a couple hear and there. While this alone was unsettling, the screams exponentially growing was more disturbing. Aspen's communicator flipped on. He fumbled through his bag to find it, missing the first sentence or two. He got the gist, however. The Grimer were finally a problem and he would be forced to help handle it. As if hearing themselves being called from the small device, a duo of Grimer emerged from a nearby sewer drain and attempted to steal it from Aspen. He held it high in the air, as if taunting their short reach. They tried to extend their small bodies to his height, but were met with nothing but failure. Frustrated, they took to a more offensive approach. The first of the two Grimer spit a small pile of purple goo at Aspen's feet. It was meant to be a threat, but was not at all threatening until the pavement before him began to dissolve from the Acid Spray. Both Penny and Nessa stepped forward, each gearing up for a battle with the two. Aspen backed away, almost in the middle of the street. It seemed most traffic had stopped due to the calamity so he would be safe during the battle. The Alolan monsters each let out a screech, using Acid Spray again. The poison gathered on the ground, dissolving the city street and creating an unsafe and rocky terrain for anyone who had to use actual feet to walk, not slither. "What the hell?" Aspen exclaimed. The citizens had accepted these monsters so readily when they were capable of this kind of destruction if they were made even a little unhappy. "Nessa, use Leech Seed. Penny, use Disable. We don't need them ruining the city any more than they already have." Nessa went forward with her usual leap and twirl, dispersing the seeds across the uneven ground. Some landed on the pavement, instantly wilting and dying, while others found themselves sinking into the multicolored liquid flesh of the Grimer. It initially seemed that they had just been swallowed and consumed, but after a few moments the plants grew out of the small monsters and seemed stronger than any Nessa had used before. Also, they took on a darker coloration, likely from the sewage the Pokemon had consumed. They seemed to have to grow further to reach light and return energy to the Pokemon, so they grew larger as well. Penny followed this attack with glowing eyes. Her antenna began to vibrate, at first slowly but then so rapidly that they became a blur. Her eyes flashed a brighter shade of red for a moment and the Grimer felt their memories of the attack become clouded. It wasn't that they couldn't remember the attack, but instead that any time they tried to use it they could not quite form the concept correctly. As if it was nothing more than a brain lapse. They just could not quite place the memory with the attack. While they fumbled around, trying to spit purple goo again, Aspen's duo attacked again. "Ness, use Magical Leaf and Penny use Psybeam!" The two followed their trainer's commands, Nessa shaking her glowing purple head-leaves and releasing a storm upon the enemies and Penny charging her opalescent glowing antenna. The leaves made contact, some being simply absorbed into the enemy and others coming down at such a high velocity that they cut right through the Grimer, causing clear harm as they tried to regroup. Penny released a multi-color beam toward one of the two Grimer. It struck it, but seemed to be absorbed by the outer layer of goo. Aspen pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the enemy, learning that they were both also Dark-types and immune to Psychic-type attacks. Before he could issue a follow-up command to make up for the lost time in the Psybeam, the Grimer both charged Nessa with Poison Fang. Their teeth were not large, but in her surprised state she was unable to dodge the attack. Their small fangs stuck in her, sending a shock through her system as the poison surged through her veins. The seeds that had previously been implanted in the enemy, however, returned energy to her in a group of small glowing balls. It made up for some of the attack, but left her feeling severely injured. Nessa backed off and began to recharge with Synthesis, effectively resigning from the battle. Rather than subject Penny to an uneven battle, Aspen gave her a command to use Supersonic and retreat. She let out a small sonic disturbance toward the two Grimer and retreated behind her trainer. The group, realizing they had effectively won the small battle, retreated to the sewer to find their leader to finish them off. Thankfully, there was enough time for Nessa to recover using Synthesis. Penny had only been slightly fatigued by the battle but regained her strength by the time the massive pile of sludge that was their Muk leader emerged from the same sewer drain. The ground around the outlet cracked and shattered as it squeezed its large body through. It let out a roar, clearly ready to battle. ~ The Muk glared at the trainer, ready to take down the seemingly strong foe. Aspen immediately began commanding his team, wasting no time with the battle. Nessa opened with a Sleep Powder, forcing the enemy Muk to slow down. She followed with a Leech Seed, hoping to be able to maintain a steady pace throughout the battle with it. After putting it to sleep, she rained Magical Leaves down on the opponent. This seemed to wake it from its drowsy state as it commanded a legion of what seemed to be tiny insects to pester and chip away at Nessa. She responded by attempting to lull him to sleep again. The attack seemed to have no effect this time. In fact, the enemy responded with a Disable to prevent it from causing it any more harm. The Muk attacked with a Hidden Power and Nessa with Magical Leaves again. The Hidden Power seemed to be of some type that was super effective to Nessa, presumably Bug-type based on the color. The attack wore her down, causing her to feel drained. She tried to recover health with a Mega Drain. As she prepared this attack, the Muk consumed something that it had hidden in its sludge and released a powerful Belch. The attack rendered Nessa unconscious and unable to battle. Aspen returned her to her Pokeball, allowing her to rest. Penny then stepped in, immediately forcing the enemy into a confused state with Supersonic. The Muk injured itself, but recovered the next turn. Penny Disabled its Belch attack, hoping to prevent any intense damage like that which Nessa suffered. The Muk responded by managing to disable Penny's ability to Disable. After this, it seemed to snap out of confusion. Penny confused it again. The Muk used Hidden Power and managed to avoid injuring itself. The attack struck Penny lightly, only harming her a bit. All the while the Leech Seed that Nessa laid out earlier in the battle had been sapping life from the monstrous blob. After one more Hidden Power attack, Penny responded with a Tackle and the Leech Seeds drained the last of Muk's energy. "Nice, great job Penny!" Aspen exclaimed, rushing to Penny's side. He lightly tapped Nessa's Pokeball, "And you too, of course!" The trainer waited to see what would come of the street and the army of Grimer that descended upon the city. Manta's musings were interrupted by the sounds of squawking and ruffling feathers. He turned to see an unfamiliar bird like pokmon demanding access into a building. it looked troubled, but He could barely form out a plan to investigate before he heard a myriad of screams and crashing noises. Though he didnt like the correlation, the louder scream did get his attention. He ran in the direction to see what it was, making sure to take rhythmic steps to ease strain on his heart. He went out into the open street to see grimer from the alola region pilfering goods from the townspeople. Upon closer inspection, they seemed to be either eating what they took or taking it away. Watches, phones, books, whatever; they were gettting whatever they could get their hands on. Until recently, things had been rather clean. He hadnt thought about it before but a similar situation happened in Alola. Grimer and Muk, who had originally only cleaned up the trash in the area, became very violent when they didnt have access to their food source. He wasn't sure of how it was handled back then, only noting that many grimer lived near the trash dump, but he had to do something about what was happening now. Before he could think any firther, his Holocaster rung, surprising him.
"Can you hear me? Oh boy." he knew what it was even if he hadnt looked. It was professor Sycamore. "Lumiose city is under attack! It appears that the grimer that came from the Alola region are running wild! They were originally accepted because they consumed the trash in the area, but with not enough trash remaining for their sustenance, they have turned to simply taking man made things and consuming them!" This much he understood. "We need the help of you trainers. All of you. Please take care of this mess!" Manta chuckled to himself a bit. The professor was a bit comical under stress.
"Alright then, let's go!" Manta shouted. Ralts calmly cheered him on as he carried her to the scene. Manta looked around to check how he could assist. He saw a few of the trainers from before in the meeting. They were all fighting fiercely. He couldnt leave it all to them. As he thought this, two alolan grimer crossed his path, apparently eyeing his holocaster. Each one lunged, using a pound attack. Ralts jumped forward to protect manta, while her trainer already had a pokeball out to handle the other. He released his pokemon, Ditto. In an instant, even before touching the ground, the curious ditto instantly transformed into one of the grimer through its imposter ability, taking in the attack of the opposing pokemon. oddly enough, it seemed to be smiling at the oppurtunity to battle. Ditto opened its mouth and instantly released a few chunks of mud, slapping the opponent with a bit of mud. Malie however was having a bit of trouble. She instinctively used confusion to deter her target, but alolan grimer merely shook it off unharmed. It was a dark type after all. After taking another pound attack, Maie retaliated with a double team, firing disarming voice with the copies. The original MAlie used the confusion to get close enough for disarming voice to do real damage.Malie's opponent fell back, crashing to the ground. Malie allowed her doubles to disappear, a little too early it seemed, as the opposing grimer fired off an acid spray! Even MAnta knew it would be bad to get caught witht that. Manta closed is eyes, not wanting to see Malie get hurt, but was suprised not to hear any cries in pain. When he opened his eyes to peek, he saw Sally, the Salandit. She blocked the attack with her body, taking considerably less damage than MAie would have. With a wave of her tail, Sally showed her excitement. She quickly fired off a smog attack, allowing it to encircle its target. She then followed up with an ember attack, The highly flammable smog ignited instantly, causing a small explosion around the two pokemon. When the dust settled, the two grimer were shown to be injured. Sally smirked and loked over at Malie, hinting that she was acting superior.
Malie used heal pulse in Sally and Ditto to mend their wounds while Manta gave a potion to Malie. The opponets had barely gotten themselves together before their nect move. The two grimer turned tail and ran back towards the manhole cover. Manta gave chase, not wanting them to heal as well and simply come back. Before he had a chance to stop them however, a larger pokemon showed itself. From the manhole cover that was originally its target, an alolan muk oozed its way out of the smaller opening. It dripped as it moved and glared around until its eyes met Manta's. It didnt take an expert to know that he would have to battle it to get anywhere.
Showdown Battle?

Among the ooze that was Muk's body, a few objects caught the light.
