You have been called from your native region to another land. Your local professor has recommended you to assist in a crisis overcoming the region of Kalos! Non-native pokemon are appearing in the wild and it is drastically affecting the environment! Entire habitats will be wiped out if you do not fight and fix the problem. Work together will fellow teammates and stop the devastation that can follow while learning what you can about the cause. Prepare to fight enemies from multiple regions and overcome personal trials in Kalos: Trial and Error.
Accepted Characters: Mizumanta- Manta Fae Clef - Sun Huber Speshal- Aspen Sadler Dracoon-Yoo Dongyoon NPCs:
Professor Sycamore- Leading professor of Kalos, specializing in Mega Evolution. He is the main professor that you will communicate with. He is more laid back and easily distracted by his own fascinations, though serious when he needs to be. He will offer important locations to your character, including important battles and mega stone locations. Chosen Trainers: Bartholomew LucasA very tall and timid boy who is very sensitive about his size. Because of his own insecurities, he often uses very small pokemon to battle, not wanting them to go through the troubles that he has faced. The only exception is his golett, which he rarely uses in battle. Despite his almost abysmal self confidence, his attitude turns around almost completely if the topic is his own pokemon. He was chosen by Professor Juniper due to the amount of support and love that he devotes to his pokemon, even moreso than the support that he gives himself.

Mechanics: Leveling:
Levels are more fluid in this rp than anything. You may determine your pokemon's level based on your own judgement. Levels are typically increased based on things like training, battling, or even light exercise. leveling will be monitored for validity however. large or surprising jumps in level will be checked. Levels of your pokemon also determine the pokemon levels of NPCs. Raising your pokemon's level unnecessarily can result in opponents that are too strong to defeat. Leveling and the learning of moves have different mechanics, so there isnt much use in unfair raises in level.
Evolution:
If a pokemon evolves by level (with or without a second condition), permission from a mod is needed. This is to determine level through battles, closeness to the pokemon, and overall if an evolution is warranted. Item Evolution: If a pokemon needs an item to evolve like a stone, you may evolve the pokemon at your leisure. Additionally, if you have an item that evolves a pokemon through trade, provided that you find an ingame partner or a mod introduced NPC, you may evolve it without permission. Friendship evolution: A pokemon that requires friendship to evolve can evolve after 15 battles or 10 with a soothe bell, provided that they met their other normal requirements (items, time of day, ect) . Berries can also shorten the time by one battle if their effect is to raise friendship. Additionally, any bitter healing item will represent a removal of one battle counter from that pokemon. Trade Evolution: Can be done with no permission with another player. Tradebacks, immediete or otherwise, are also acceptable among players. In addition, various trade fairs will be available to allow you to receive pokemon that can evolve with trading. Please note that nicknames cannot be changed on pokemon that you did not acquire yourself. They mean alot to that pokemon. Learning New Moves: To speed things up, new moves can be learned every 5 battles that pokemon participates in, provided that your pokemon achieved the minimum level requirement. If your pokemon learns multiple attacks at the same level, they can just learn them all at once. Battles: Battles are what determine things such as learning new moves and evolution. They are to be concisely documented for everyone's convenience. An easy way to rack up battles is with . After a battle, you are to make a post going over what happened. This is an easier and quicker way for characters gain battles for progression when a mod is unavailable, though they can only be conducted with other characters in this way. Gym battles and other important NPC battles will similarly be conducted through Pokemon Showdown. Important battles will count was multiple battles for the growth of your pokemon, depending on their difficulty. Please indicate on your profile who you fought with, with what pokemon, and the outcome. For a pokemon to have counted in a battle, they have to actually battle. immediate switch ins do not count. For an example of a great battle on Pokemon Showdown, please see here

*This post is for all RPers* the sound of moist squeaky footsteps echoed about the small route connecting building. It was quite hallway of a building, with only one attendant behind a neatly kempt desk and a single television screen mounted on the wall to offer news and weather. Heavy rain was basically what it repeated, a storm that was moving quickly over Kalos and blanketing wherever it hit. It was just bad timing however, that he had arrived just a bit behind schedule with a quick passing storm only making things worse. Manta walked to the end of the building, prompting the automatic doors to open. The loud hush of rain came through immediately, and his view was a bit obscured. It was a large city, undoubtedly, with buildings that covered the sky and lights so bright in every direction that they basically looked like stars through the rain. It was a bit overwhelming for him specifically, as he wasnt one for too much stimulation, but something short term like this was do-able. He looked at the map function on his pokedex. The meeting place was Professor Sycamore's Lab, and it wasnt too far away. In fact, he could see the well lit sign through the rain. He smiled a bit, noting that the lights that he had written off as excessive actually did have a good purpose. He stood in the doorway and picked out a moon ball from his belt hook. A simple press of the button in the middle called out a flash of light to reveal his tiny ralts. "Malie, could you teleport us to that building?" He asked. Malie turned to look in the direction that MAnta was referring, pondering a bit. Manta was aware of Malie's limitations. She could only teleport someone of his size short distances, specifically places that he could see. He only really asked her to help out with things like this if it was reasonable. It helped of course, for her to practice often and increase the distance her power worked, so Manta and Malie considered this more as training than anything. Malie nodded and smiled, putting her hands up to ask to be carried. Manta lifted the light pokemon up, as he tool a few steps outside to the edge of where the rain was shielded. Malie's body glowed softly as she concentrated, following shortly with a quick glow of her trainer. In an instant, she and Manta had been moved to the front of the building at the base of the stairs. "Oof" A girl cried, her black outfit soaked by the rain. "Oi!" She stated loudly, trying to speak over the roar of the rain, "watch where you're going. God." She didnt seem too impressed by his teleportation there. Or perhaps she hadnt noticed. She had clearly been running through the rain to get there and he could understand her frustration. "Ah, my apologies!' He quickly blurted out as he bowed slightly. He looked up to check if she had accepted his apologies, but she had already ascended up the stairs. Manta sighed, a little unhappy with the encounter just now, but even moreso because his clothes were now pretty wet for the short time that he had exposed himself to rain. He decided to trek up the stairs to the lab, no longer concerned about staying dry. At the top, he opened the doors and made sure to shut it tightly behind him. In what seemed like the lobby area of the lab, he saw an array of adults and young trainers with noticeable diversity. "Ah! The last one has arrived, has he?" A tallish man in a lab coat with a bit of scruff and luxurious hair spoke up. "Welcome. Glad you could make it, especially with this weather" he chuckled. "Augustine, I appreciate the polite formalities, but we do have a bit of an urgent matter." Another professor interrupted. She was taller than the first professor with what looke like a beehive hairdo or something similar, the only woman of the group of what he could only assume were professors, due to their shared attire. "Ah yes, you are right Professor Juniper." He replied. Upon a quick scan, Manta could identify at least fifteen trainers. All had pokeballs on their person or a pokemon with them as expected. Professor Kakui had informed him upon inviting him here, that there would be trainers from all over here. He even spotted the girl that he had run into before."Please have a seat Manta, and we will begin." Sycamore prompted. The room itself was rather large, however the space in which they were staying was rather limited. It was a corner of the lobby area, that basically looked like a library The walls were filled with books and there were a number of standard wooden chairs in the space. In the front where the professors stayed was a projector screen and a white board. "Young trainers, I am professor Sycamore, the leading professor in the Kalos Region. You may have heard of my work on mega evolution front the other professors. The other adults in lab coats nodded. He recognized two of them. Professor Oak from Kanto and Professor Elm from Johto. There was a small monitor with static-y feed from another region. Though he didn't recognize the person on the screen, a description was offered that showed his name and his region, the latter being Hoenn. Not to mention the woman from before. Finally, there was one other one, possibly the oldest one of the group who had simply stayed silent in the back of the room. Manta didnt recognize him, but he had an air of professionalism and knowledge. "I will keep this brief." Professor Sycamore stated. He pressed a button on a handheld device to chance the projector. A light shone on the projector sheet to reveal what seemed like various habitats. He clicked through a dessert, a swamp, a lake, and a city alley. "Kalos is facing an environmental threat." He bagan. "Each of our major habitats are being drastically changed and we need your help to stop it." He skipped a few slides to stop at a rather portly man in red. His suit looked a bit flashy and he was wearing what looked like to be purely fashionable glasses. "This is Xerosic, former Lead scientist of the now disbanded Team Flare. As you may have heard, two Years ago, Kalos experienced a crisis where Team Flare awakened the two legendary Beasts Yvetal and Xerneas, causing them to fight." He showed another slide of a news screenshot of the two pokemon fighting. "Since then, both legendary pokemon went back into hibernation, and Most of Team Flare was arrested. After serving a year in Prison, Xerosic was released and due to his dedication to pokemon research, we accepted his input on advancements in pokemon." Sycamore added. "He was very insightful and a knowledgeable enough to have detailed conversations with. It was enough that we often forgave his former actions." Professor Oak added. "But our viewpoints differed on a few notes. Particularly on the introduction of new Alolan species to unfamiliar areas. While we wanted to study how each pokemon would adapt to teor new environment before committing, Xerosic simply wanted dump pokemon into new habitats and study them that way." Oak sat down and allowed Professor Sycamore to speak. "This is an incredibly reckless method and quite dangerous. For instance, e introduced a number of bruxish into a nearby lake, and within a few days, all of the lake's former occupants had been eaten. All of the magikarp and goldeen were prey to the bruxish. It doesnt stop there. He allowed Jangmo-o to inhabit a nearby cave, resulting in all other pokemon in the area being forced out. Just as we hypothesized, the presence of Alolan pokemon is a danger to the pokemon here. At the very least, the method of introduction is completely wrong." She sat back down. "Professor Rowan?" She offered. "Though we professors are rather well fit to handle this, we all have our own work to do in our respective regions and cannot work together to stop these progressions." The tall scruffy professor in the back added. So we have asked a few trainers from each of our regions to assist us. Please investigate how he is introducing so many pokemon to these environments so fast and stop them. Please also find a way to fix the problem of the invasive pokemon. While we can round up weaker pokemon, there are at least a few incredibly strong pokemon in seemingly each environment that keep us from simply letting the authorities handle it." He sat down quickly and turned to professor elm. "Oh, yes" Elm said, realizing that it was his turn. "While we understand that you did come purely on request, we would like to offer you a few rewards for your efforts as well as to assist you in your task." He pulled out what looked like a heavy box. He took the top off to reveal a number of fancy stones in protective casing. Each one was fashioned a bit differently. Some were embedded in necklaces, some in earnings, others in rings and hair accessories. "These are key stones that Professor Sycamore has gathered. They pair with mega stones, which are most commonly found here in Kalos. You will however need to find them to make them work correctly. Certain pokemon can become stronger when you use these." He pulled out another box. "In addition, We have a number of Technical Machines for your use. We have enough to offer one to each person to advance the strength of their teams." He pulled out a smaller box. "Finally, I have communicators to allow us to inform you of any urgent matters." He offered them on the table for each trainer to pick. "I know it's sudden" A Hoenn professor started, his voice a bit hard to hear behind the crackle of static, "but we ask that you please hurry. Whole we know of a few severely affected areas, we have more concern towards areas that may still lead devastation. Please scour Kalos and rid these places of any dangerous Alolan pokemon. Once they are gone, we can gather the weaker ones and separate them." The screen buzzed again. "With enough luck, we can find a way to allow Alolan pokemon here safely in time." "We will inform you of any urgent matters that come up to allow you the chance to come over. but for now, please spread yourselves wide and handle this situation as we trust you will." Sycamore finished. The majority of trainers simply went up to gather their gear. A girl quickly snatched up an anklet embedded keystone and a TM before exiting. She seemed more interested in exploring than anything else. Another trainer took a ring and TM before bowing politely and exiting. MAnta saw that it was his time. He didnt see professor Kakui anywhere, but it wouldnt be surprising if he was simply too busy to show in person, just like the professor on the screen. Manta walked up to the table, Malie in his arms, and picked up a tm and communicator first. The words on the side showed "protect". he didnt really pay attention to which he picked, as he moved onto the key stones. It felt like a lunch line at a school to him honestly. And just as he would feel approaching delicious sweets, he was a little eager to get a key stone. He was a bit more selective of this one, grabbing what seemed to be a key stone embedded in a clip. He took it and placed it on the neck of his shirt for now then thanked the professors. Manta walked outside to a surpising view of a wet but sunny Lumiose. The weather had passed and he had been given permission to explore. there wasnt a particular place that he needed to visit first, so it was up to him to do his best and help the professors the best that he could. *You may choose a keystone. It can be any accessory that you want *You may choose one TM of your choice from the list provided on the OOC page *Feel free to explore the city for now

The dull, scratching sound of plastic on glass began to rapidly pick up in the background as each professor spoke. It was the sound of a young female writing with a stylus on her tablet - taking notes. Everything Sun wrote was converted into a neat font and stored in her special research tablet make by the Poketch company. The girl was new to Kalos, but not new to helping out professors, she was one of Rowan's favorite lab assistants after all. The two of them traveled to Kalos on the same flight, so she had a bit more insight on the situation, but not much. During the pauses in speaking she scanned the room to look at the other trainers as if she was somehow trying to gauge their capabilities out of sheer appearances. She, however, knew that appearances were deceiving; this thought crossed her mind as she looked over to the small bug pokemon that was perched on her shoulder.
Burmy, her most favored pokemon partner, definitely did not look like much, but it was definitely her strongest asset in a battle. The pokemon looked at each person who spoke with curious eyes, especially when the Hoenn man spoke. The light in the screen was mesmerizing to the small bug and it even caused the burmy to try and wander closer. Unfortunately for it, Sun was quick to grab the pokemon by the antenna without looking up from her tablet or stopping her scribbling. Her partner gurgled with disapproval, but that landed the human's hand over it's beak-like mouth.
After being briefed more on the mission, Sun twirled the stylus in her fingers before replacing the object behind her right ear. The tablet, with a smooth white plastic cover, was closed like a book and slipped into her shoulder bag. The piece of technology was vital to her research in terms of cataloging but more importantly she had downloaded plenty of songs onto it. The teen stood up and approached the black case full of keystones. She had definitely heard of Mega Evolution, but it still wasn't a very common sight in Sinnoh due to a lack in naturally occurring mega and key stones. Sun wasn't the type to wear jewelry, so she just picked up a loose stone and carelessly tossed it into her large bag where it would surely collect lint at the bottom. Afterwards, she stuck the new earpiece in her ear (instantly wondering if it could be used as a wireless headphone for her music because hers always get tangled) and grabbed a TM from a tray. The label on the TM read SUBSTITUTE in large letters.
Although they were given permission to explore the city, Sun was more interested in the wildlife and scenery outside of the city. Growing up in Jubilife city, Sinnoh's biggest hub-town, made Lumiose look rather boring to her. She did have a bit of admiration for the Prism tower, however, and decided to head towards that to take a few pictures to send to her parents. A small, nude, Burmy trailed behind her, defiantly refusing to create a cloak when a regular Burmy would collect pink insulation and small pieces of plastic trash to coat itself with.

Aspen stood quietly near the middle of the crowd. Not too far forward to make himself the focus of the professors, but also not so far back as to miss any vital information. He fiddled with something in his pockets while the mission statement was given. It was likely some bulb from a flower left in his pocket from the greenhouse, or some interesting rock Penny, his Venonat, had found interesting and gifted to him. The professors' words began to blur together as his attention faded in and out. He got the general idea but was missing some details. His focus was on the mystery object in his pocket and the flowered tree branch that kept poking in and out of view of the nearest window. It wasn't quite like anything that grew back home.
His attention returned to the professors as they made their closing remarks. Aspen stepped up slowly, sure to give everyone else their chance so he could avoid getting stuck in the small crowd. None of the disks that were offered caught his attention. He grabbed a random one from the box and stuck it in the side pouch of his bag, making a mental note to not toss the backpack on that side. When it came to keystones and accessories, Aspen was rather stuck. He had never been one for jewelry considering how much physical labor he performed at home. It would have normally just gotten damaged or lost. After deciding that it would be best to just take a pendant and fix it to some sort of chain or his backpack later, he grabbed a keystone and set out the door. There was much to explore in Lumiose. Having lived in Floaroma and never really taken any vacations or trips outside, the bright lights and towers were unfamiliar but interesting.
He walked slowly down the street outside the meeting building, looking for something to catch his eye in the shop windows or at a street vendor's booth.

Dongyoon had gotten out as soon as he could- the harsh weather at sea made it difficult for him to reach as quickly as he had wanted to. Jumping off the yacht he had rented from his mother, the boy waved goodbye as the Scrafty jumped up and down, waving to him (he had been dispatched on Yoori's behalf to keep an eye on Dongyoon in case he did any dangerous manuvours) before going off to catch a taxi to Lumiose. How long has it been since he had touched Kalos soil? Dongyoon honestly couldn't recall, it had been several years since he had set off alone to Sinnoh to train for his races. Beside him was his Azumarill, Gong, who looked out of the window in interest: she barely reached the bottom of the window, and often thrilled with curiosity and nostalgia over the familiar sights.
As he got off the taxi, he barely caught 'Keystone', 'TMs' and some heavily staticky sounds as the trainers filed out. "Did you hear anything, Gong?" he asked, and the Azumarill shrugged (as much as a creature with no shoulders could) before walking over to view the place. She waved her paws to sniff the beautiful aroma of a boy that passed them by, watching a girl with a Burmy on her shoulder leave as well. Dongyoon, however, rubbed his brows as he looked at the various knick-knacks. "It's still a keystone, it could've been Mum and her collection of five Fire Stones," joked Dongyoon, picking up a typical Keystone bracelet and slapping it on his wrist, "Awesome! This fits perfectly! I feel just like the first Kalos trainers who started with a Keystone." Gong thrilled once more, cheerily trotting to the aisle with the many TMs available and tried to offer Dongyoon a pale blue TM labeled 'TM79'. "Hey! Gieo is going to get jealous if I took that," he scoffed, pushing the Azumarill's eager attempts to shove the TM into his satchel away, "We need something they can learn. At Gong's increasingly insistent attempts to put Frost Breath into his bag, Dongyoon huffed and lifted his struggling Pokemon, removing the TM from her paws.
Gong sat on the floor, the Azumarill folding her arms and turning away from Dongyoon in a sulk. Dongyoon replaced the TM, taking the pale coloured 'TM27' instead before waving it at his Pokémon. "Something you both can share, alright? Geez...you just love making things difficult for us huh?" he complained, slinging his bag before deciding to take a stroll around. He figured he should probably stop at Hotel Richissime first: after all, if he endeared himself to his mother's subordinates, he could probably have a little bit of leeway. Gong followed behind, looking around with her ears folded, the noise being far too sensitive for her.

@everyone As the rain let up adn eventually dissipated, the townspeople sprung out from their homes and shops to once again fill the streets. Lumiose had become a busy and bustling city in just a matter of minutes. Several of the city's inhabitants joyfully interacted as they set up their business banners and opened their doors. "How great is it that these colorful grimer are here to clean up the streets?" One woman said to the ownser of a dessert cart. "Those new funny looking grimer are a miracle in my book. I thought all of these pokemon rushing in would be bad for this town, but they arent like the purple ones I see at home," The man said with a chuckle. :These ones gobble up all the trash they see. The streets have never been cleaner!" "Oh I know, it is like having a janitor around!" The woman added. "I dont even need to look for a trash can anymore." She said with a wide grin. She turned and waved at a pokemon in the distance. Its body was green with a line of yellow sludge along its lower lip. It seemed to have teeth of some kind, and suprising of all, it did not scare people away with its stench as grimer were often known to do. "Come here, cutie!" She called, offering up the trash collected int he store. The small pokemon gleefully consumed its contents, then moving onto the bag itself. The dessert cart owner looked on from afarm making note that Its size had grown just a bit from the meal. Now that the trash was gone, the woman simply went inside, humming to herself. The grimer left behind looked about for more food, visibly disappointed. After a bit fo searching around in the area, it moved on, slipping into a crack in the sewer system to feed there. :Hmm...there sure are a lot of them..." The old man muttered to himself, as he continued on setting up his business. Manta's feet splashed lightly in the unavoidable puddles now plaguing Lumiose. With the rain gone, the townspeople were now out and about, reopening their shops and stands for the flurry of customers they knew would come. What was surprising however, were the familiar pokemon. "Hey..." He said to his ralts. "Do you notice all of the grimer here?" He looked around to see the green pokemon in almost every trash can and alley. The townspeople didnt seem to mind, and actually encouraged their rummaging. He thought back at how popular they were in Alola. Grimer there were different than grimer anywhere else in the world. Instead of polluting, they consumed the garbage and kept the island clean. He did remember his mission however. Pokemon were being introduced into environments that were not their own. Was this something that he was supposed to be stopping? But they were coexisting, even thriving. What could the harm be? Manta headed over to a local cafe. He had been eating island food for a few years now and food from a larger place would probably give some refreshing diversity. He ordered the cheapest meal, as he was on a budget, and thoroughly enjoyed his food with Malie. Sushi and miso soup. He had even gotten the set with the seaweed salad. "His mouth watered as he switched foods between each bite. Flavor combinations were just the best. After the meal, MAnta decided to walk around a bit. This city was definitely bigger than any city in Alola. The professors would send him alerts to any place that he needed to get to urgently, so until then he would try his best to explore. "What do you want to see first, Malie? The museum?" He pointed. "That extravagant hotel?" He pointed to another location. "That tower over there is huge!" He chuckled. "A bit intimidating". He concluded. Maybe later. He noticed that MAlie had been getting a bit more fidgety in his arms. According to that, it mean that Malie was close to evolution. She was usually so calm, so acting so differently could have definitely been a sign of something like that. MAnta peered down at his pokemon while he walked. Maybe he could help train her. Those other trainers at the meeting looked experienced. He couldnt allow himself to be the least impressive of the bunch. "C'mon, Malie, let's go find a battle!" Event?

After a few seconds of the rain having stopped Aspen finally noticed. Having spent so much time in the greenhouse and so much of that time either caked in sweat or drenched from the irrigation system, he had grown used to the feeling. He swept his hair back to prevent any stray water from dripping into his face and continued forward. A vendor who had been taking shelter in a nearby restaurant ventured out again and lowered the umbrella on his cart. Aspen purchased some sort of loaded hot dog from him and ate it quickly, worried that this communicator could go off at any time.
He turned toward the alleyway between the building the vendor was taking shelter in and the general store beside it. He took note of the Grimer digging through trash cans. He wasn't entirely sure why they looked they way they did but chalked it up to some city-specific coloration caused by litter. The alleyway seemed longer than it originally looked. He stopped once reaching a four-way crossroad, unsure of where to go next.

Dongyoon walked along the aisle to the hotel, noticing the Grimers along the way. "Wow, are those Shinies?" commented Dongyoon, while Gong clung to his arm and shied away from the colourful Poison types, "That'll be rad if I could catch one, but looks like they're working, so I shouldn't disturb them." He visited a vendor, ordering a bowl of salad and drinks for both him and his trusty partner. Gong happily slurped on the cooling Lemonade as they walked, Dongyoon sitting down and eagerly tucking into his leafy greens. After polishing off the last of his cabbages, Dongyoon got up and gave a long, lazy stretch in an attempt to sober himself up.
Hotel Richissime, down the road, was just the way he remembered it. The bellhops and receptionist greeted him warmly, shouts of how the 'young master had returned from his training aboard' ringing through the halls as everyone offered him pastries and treats. He was, after all, a little bit of a celebrity being the son of their current CEO. Dongyoon humbly declined the eclairs and cream puffs, insisting that they should go and continue their duties, before meandering over to the receptionist- a tubby, older man with a monocle that had watched Dongyoon grow up. "Do you know what's up with the colourful Grimers? Are we uh, hiring them? They seem friendly," commented Dongyoon, and the old man shook his head, almost horrified at the suggestion ('why, Young Master, we can't just...invite some Pokémon of dubious origin to work here! What would the mistress say! We have an image to upkeep!') He retrieved the master card key from the receptionist desk, however, which would allow him a room in every hotel his mother had, before returning outside once more, promising he'd visit often.
As he returned outside, Dongyoon felt the rest of his original pep leave him. "I bet they wouldn't be as friendly when they find out about the accident," he commented, and Gong gave him a jab in the ribs to stop him from another depressive spiral. He couldn't help but notice a minor commotion in the distance, squinting to try and make out what exactly was wrong with the rapidly expanding crowd around it.

Mizumanta - A curious red-shelled bug pokemon hovered over a windowsill flower bed, attracted by the sweet scent of peonies. It seemed uninterested in its surroundings until its antennae picked up a disturbance coming from another pokemon, the horns of a Ralts. It flew down and decided to investigate the other creature. Ledyba, Lv: 15
speshal - Out from an alley came a small, white pokemon that noticed a rather lost looking trainer. It decided to approach with a smile and lead the trainer into an alley where it could use its purple flame to drain his vitality, after all, the Litwik was famished. Litwik, Lv: 19
dracoon - A medium size crowd had gathered around a woman and an odd pokemon. The lady was middle aged and had her arm linked with the arm of a tallish, brown, levitating pokemon. The woman and her Beheeyem were dancing to the music being played by street performers, collecting tips from passing strangers and even encouraging others to dance as well. In the midst of all of the joy, the woman disappeared in a puff of smoke and in her place a small black fox pokemon grabbed the hat full of tips in its mouth and ran off, its partner Beheeyem in tow. Zorua, Lv: 11 and Beheeyem, Lv: 30 *They are already owned by a trainer

Dongyoon watched this, the music engaging him and Gong happily dancing around, her stubby limbs uncoordinated as she followed along clumsily. Though, this soon stopped when the woman vanished, grabbing the hat of tips before leaving with their partner Beheeyem, arousing Dongyoon's suspicion. There were shouts from the crowd, loud booing about being conned by Pokémon despite willingly giving tips before, but the crowd soon dispersed, enjoying the music by the rest of the venders. Dongyoon let the Heavy Ball in his hand slip, releasing the quiet, levitating dual gears- his other Pokémon, who bobbed and waited patiently. "Gieo, we'll follow those two. I feel there's something fishy," he whispered, and the interlocking gears gave a slight nod before zipping behind the Zorua and Beheeyem, the only sounds made by the silent creature the unnerving 'tck-tck-tck' noise they generated for their sustenance. Gong followed too huffily, annoyed at her playtime being cut short but just as curious as Dongyoon was.

He stopped in his tracks, unable to see much but a small purple light dancing toward him. Before the light came into view he released Penny from her Pokeball. The Venonat was released only a few feet away, but quickly rushed to his side. She took comfort in having some sort of contact with her trainer, even if it was just feeling her fur brush against his pantleg. Aspen knew if anything was to not be trusted, Penny would be the first to react and get them out of the situation. It wasn't that she was necessarily astute, but in dangerous situations she could normally make the correct decision in a fight-or-flight style. Then, from the shadows came a Litwick. It smiled at him. To Aspen, a trainer unaware of Kalos' wildlife and their dangers, it seemed like a sincere and kind gesture. It began to try and lead him down the alleyway it emerged from. Penny followed her trainers footsteps as if they were her metronome. After a few, she tugged as his pant leg. It was getting darker and darker, quieter and quieter. She eventually stepped in front of him, only to be lightly kicked aside. Aspen wasn't trying to move her this way, he was just mesmerized by the Litwick's flame. It had nearly lured him to its place of comfort where it would finish its meal. Penny ran forward to get a bit of a head start on her trainer and his captor and began her "fight" response. Her antenna lurched forward toward her target. They began to glow white, then transformed to a sparkling opalescent glow. The Venonat released a twisted beam of colorful lights, each one emitting their own unique frequency to create a perfect chord. While the attack may have been formed well, the aim was a bit off. Her lack of battle experience caused her to only graze the size of the Litwick. Luckily, it was enough to break whatever spell was holding Aspen. The trainer shook his head, unaware of what was truly going on. Penny let out a few chirps, pointing her small arms toward the candle who had just recovered from the attack. "Oh, wait... what?" Aspen asked, still confused. He looked around, unsure of how they ended up this deep into a dark alley. It quickly became clear to him that they were in some sort of danger due to this Litwick, "Okay, okay! Penny, try using Psybeam!" Penny let out a slightly frustrated chirp. That already ended poorly. "Psybeam!" He said again, unsure why she was not responding. In the time that they were deciding the Litwick began to strike. The alleyway grew darker than before. Pitch black. Aspen and Penny could see their silhouettes through the shadow, but not much else. A large face similar to that of Litwick's rose from the darkness, covering the darkness before them entirely. Then, the darkness shattered like glass. Penny was struck by the Litwick's Night Shade. She shook herself and readied her next attack. Her antenna began to glow the same opalescent glow as before. She pointed them forward. "Wait, not yet," Aspen cried out, assessing the situation. It was hard to see the Litwick anymore. It had retreated into the darkness and only swooped in for the occasional strike on the pair, "when it comes back for you the unleash." Penny let out a chirp to confirm his commands. It should work out for the best anyhow. She didn't have to blindly strike the enemy and she could charge her attack further. Plus, if the Litwick charges directly at her it is harder to miss an attack. The ghost then emerged from the darkness, charging toward Penny from the sky. It was planning on hitting her with a full force Astonish. As soon as his flame became light enough to reveal some of his other features, she let the colored beams loose. Thankfully, this seemed to be a direct hit. Aspen wasn't interested in hanging out to find out. After the attack he picked Penny up off the ground and ran with her in his arms. If he made it back to the four-way alley intersection, he planned to turn left and run toward the sunlight. Hopefully no ghosts would try to eat his soul this time around. [[Escape Attempt? If that succeeds I added a bit on where he would like to run to, and would like a battle/encounter.]]

dracoon - The Zorua led its partner down a nearly empty street and then into a small alley alongside some dumpsters. There was a Grimer eating trash but they paid it no mind. The two thought they were finally alone and offered the hat full of money to the same middle aged woman Zorua had disguised itself as. She looked more gaunt and was in dirtier clothes, however. Just then, Beheeyem detected they were being followed and flashed its lighted fingertips in warning.
speshal - Escape successful (Venonat's spd: 45 >2x Litwik's spd: 20) Upon escaping, the trainer had collided with a younger boy and his partner pokemon, Deino. "Ouch! What did you do that for!" The hotheaded boy shouted, "You're gonna pay for that! Chompy, use Bite!" He commanded. Deino, Lv: 18

Sun approached the Prism tower, Burmy in tow. It was truly a magnificent piece of architecture. She marveled for a few moments before digging out her tablet and snapping a few photos (and a selfie or two acting like she was touching the tip of the tower with her fingertip). The girl then felt something else in her bag: the TM she had received. Sun had already known which TM's Burmy could learn after being partners for so long, so she decided to teach it to her other pokemon. The bug pokemon did not like this decision and he spit a clump of silk at the TM to try and swipe it. "Come on, Burms, that's your oldest trick," She laughed and quickly moved the TM away from its trajectory. The girl had quite phenomenal reflexes. She loaded the disc into her Sinnoh pokedex and then selected one of the pokemon registered to her name. "So I should just have to press the confirm button and it should instantly learn the move..." She spoke to herself under her breath, Burmy watched intently with its beady yellow eyes. After a few moments, the Pokedex beeped and that must have meant confirmed!
"Alright, Cottonee, come on out!" She exclaimed, releasing a small cotton puff pokemon from a regular pokeball. It made a small chirping noise and levitated above the girl who was now sitting in the grass with Burmy in her lap. The breeze almost took it away, but it caught its balanced and landed in front of her. "I taught this TM for Substitute to you through the Pokedex, do you wanna practice using it?" She asked, but before the pokemon with a distaste for battles could answer, they noticed something approaching. (Event)
