Torque walked over slowly to Yumi as they both watched what they thought was an artifcact just laying on the ground, get up and start moving. She looked back at Syrus to check if his ralts was up to something, but they were busy with something else that needed their attention. So what was it? A pokemon? She hadnt heard of one like this before. It was eerie how the thing just floated there. As the pokemon stood up, yumi checked her pokeded. With a quick scan, her screen flashed on, revealing the thing in front of them.
"Honedge, the sword pokemon. Apparently this Pokémon is born when a departed spirit inhabits a sword. It attaches itself to people and drinks their life force."
Yumi stared at the screen. That was probably the creepiest thing she had ever heard. But it made sense it was apparently a ghost type. And sin ce it was also a steel type, she knew sge at least had some kind of advantage. "Oi, torque! You wanna take this guy down? We can catch it." Her torkoal inched forward. "You got this! Torque, use ember! " Yumi shouted. Ahe knew about steel types only vaguely. Only one of her pokemons attacks would actually do anything. Torque took in a breath, expelling out tiny flames at the ghost sword.

Syrus walked with Yumi for a while, seeing the lights of the next city, but not yet the buildings. Yumi rushed ahead with something that looked important. Syrus wanted to go over, but was halted by a strange red ball on a stick. He walked a bit closer with Grace, moving away from Yumi now, who was doing her own thing at this point. Upon closer inspection, that ball was actually the tail of a pokemon. He wasnt entirely sure which pokemon it was, being from Kalos, however it did seem a bit familiar. Sai took out his pokedex to check. The small machine chimed after a quick scan. "Tepig, the Fire Pig Pokémon. Normally, fire shoots out of Tepig's snout, but it shoots out smoke instead when it is feeling ill. It can deftly dodge its foe's attacks while shooting fireballs from its nose. It roasts berries before it eats them. but sometimes it gets too excited and burns them to a crisp." According to the pokedex, it was a fire type. Syrus remembered why he recognized the pokemon. Syrus had seen this pokemon on television on a cooking show. It was helping roast berries. But this one was different. Its ear was a little short or perhaps deformed. It was strange enough to consider, but he didnt have time to evaluate. THe tepig rushed forward without warning for a tackle attack. Ralts attempted to dodge, but was too slow. As ralts attempted to dodge, for the third time now, Syrus witnessed his ralts seemingly splitting in two. BUt it wasnt enough to get away. Grace fell back with a light thud. Grace got up quickly, not wanting to be vulnerable to the next attack. "Grace!" Syrus called out. He didnt want to battle so soon after getting finished with the last one. His pokemon was still a little tired. But the pokemon before him might not allow him to leave just yet. "Grace, growl!" Ralts took in a deep breath and released a mighty shriek, most surprising for its size. THe air around the area she aimed for distorted beautifully, almost mirroring the look that heat gives of on a hot summer day. They didnt particularly want to hurt the pokemon, but if this was similar to their run in with the other pokemon he had met that morning. Dracoon
Furfrou shook off its dizziness. Its fur flapped in the wind, giving it an almost majestic look. Its attitude, however, had not particularly matched that. Furfrou had no interest in losing to a pokemon tha it did not deem its equal, not that it had anything to base that assumption on. The large furry pokemon barked loudly into the air before rushing forward for a tackle attack, mirroring the small metal pokemon. The two seemed to collide with an audible bashing sound. Furfrou landed on its feet, its fur providing a cushion like it was covered in pillows. Still, the littel pokemon focused its larger weight on a single point, which was the opposite of the dog's attack. Because of that, the tackle seemed to have the strength of a well guided punch. This was different that normal battles that furfrou had. Perhaps it was this odd pokemon that it had never seen before. It didnt seem native to the forests or towns. Furfrou still did not want to lose, and couldnt take too much time to dwell on its ponderings. The furry pokemon turned its back to the foe, kicking up dust and dirt into the air and at the tiny pokemon. It was a sand attack of sorts, aimed to lessen the chance of another tackle attack like the last one. Yuki
The floating sword pokemon was surprised by the bright attack. AS a ghost type, it wasnt keen on bright lights, and as a steel type, it had the natural fear of fire attacks, perhaps routed in a fear of melting. The flames flashed over the pokemon, who typically relied on its physical defense to survive. THe flames dissipated quickly, most likely due to its small size. The single eye on the honedge glared deeply. It did not appreciate the attack at all, especially when it was noteven the first to strike. Honedge closed its eye and concentrated, spinning quickly, almost like a top. The cloth at its handle danced beautifully in the wind. It was a sight to behold. It was a swords dance attack, one that could actually repel flames if done right. The honedge did not look too different, but it was actually much stronger now. The floating sword charged in for a tackle attack, floating at average speed.

Honedge spun around rapidly, almost like dancing. She could tell that it was a pretty slow pokemon, but this attack at least was swift enough to repeal attacks. Yumi knew that her torkoal couldnt do much at this point besides fire off embers. It wasnt like dodging was an option. The pokemon quickly changed to a striking pose and came in for a tackle. "Withdraw, torque!" Torkoal quickly shrunk inside its shell, the only fast thing that it was capable of. The pokemon hut it with a clank. No sound could be heard from inside, but Yumi knew that torques defense was solid enough to withstand it. "Quick, before it gets farther away, use ember!" Torque swiftly came out of its shell and began to smoke from the back. It shot out a few more embers from its mouth to the closer pokemon.

Yuki Honedge getting close to the trainer's torkoal didnt seem to phase the sword pokemon. It got close, seemingly knowing full well that it would be struck. It made no attempt to dodge. This may have been due to its No Guard ability. While its attacks were sure to meet their mark, attacks aimed at the honedge could not be dodged. THe fire once again shot out at the honedge, engulfing it in a light flame before dying down. When the flame dissipated, it was shown that honedge had gone back into its sheath, minimizing damage. Perhaps that was its best solution for defense. THe eye int eh middle of the pokemon showed anger, triggering the pokemon to unleash a fury cutter attack. the pokemon swung widely at the other pokemon with rapid strikes from the tip of its blade.

Manta The Tepig was repelled by the shriek, but quickly righted itself and opened its eyes. "T-Tep!" it shouted, backing away before shooting several small fireballs at the Ralts with an Ember. It was obvious the Ralts, along with her growling had terrified the Tepig even further, and the grass around them began to catch fire from the haphazard way the Tepig was hurling its flames. The Tepig looked the duo in the eye, knees shaking as it waited, frozen by its fear to flee and hoping the flames was enough to leave it alone (it usually did repel new Trainers). If the trainer or his Ralts were to approach just a little bit, Tepig was not about to hesitate and charge at them with another Tackle. ----- Aron wobbled, surprised by the force and looking confused at the bashing doing less than she thought it would be. She turned back to her trainer, just as the sand got into her eyes- Aron squealed loudly in pain as she shook her head, her vision blurring as she saw double of the Furfrou. "Ron!" she cried out, the baby beginning to tear up as she whined loudly, throwing a tantrum as she bawled loudly in distress, refusing to fight the Furfrou anymore. "Ok, ok, geez, we'll swap out!" conceded Yoori, annoyed at this turn of events as she recalled the Aron and sent out Scraggy instead. Pulling up his pants, Scraggy recognised the Furfrou and growled loudly, his competitive streak igniting at a Pokémon native to where they were from. "Go for it!" shouted Yoori and with blinding speed, Scraggy lunged at the opposing Furfrou, using a well-aimed Low Kick to trip the dog Pokémon and take revenge for Aron as well.

--- "Alright, enough chatter! I know you're eager to get your pokemon!" The professor boomed to the girl. They had spent the last half-hour registering as a trainer and talking about Sun's father. She was a bit impatient but didn't want to seem rude, especially not to her dad's former boss! He led her down the hallway into a larger room with pokeballs on shelves as far as her eyes could see. Sun couldn't even fathom how many pokemon this man owned! "Normally I give new trainers a choice out of three pokemon from this Pokemon Selection System, but your father had a special request for your pokemon... Hmph now what was it?" He asked. "Huh?" This was the first Sun had heard of this subject. "Yes, I remember it now! He specifically wanted me to give you this Pokemon!" He grabbed a ball from a shelf that was a couple feet away, "Mr. Huber spent a lot of time researching this pokemon, and he recalls you used to play with the specimens he brought home to study!" Rowan smiled, which was the first she had seen so far. "Of course!" Sun remembered now what pokemon the professor was talking about. When she took the ball from him she grinned so wide her smile must have wrapped around her entire head. She thanked him over and over and made sure to put her pokedex and pokeballs in her purse before leaving outside to go meet her new friend.
---
"Come on out, Poppy!" Sun had already decided on a name for her new partner, and she figured that she should call her by that name for their first meeting. The girl tossed the pokeball into the air and it thudded on the ground and bounced into the grass. Sun was confused. "Huh? Oh! I forgot to press the button!" She smacked herself in the forehead and picked the ball up, this time pressing the button in the center to enlarge and activate the pokeball. "Alright, now come on out, Poppy!" She said again, even more confident than the first time. The ball was thrown high into the air, and an audible sound could be heard coming from the tiny machine before it opened and a jagged beam of light shot out of it towards the ground. The white light swirled and sparkled for a couple seconds (that felt like an eternity) before a tiny pokemon was materialized. The blue flower was levitating, and it floated up to eye level with Sun where she could see the tiny white pixie gripping the pistil of the flower. "Flabebe~" She sang in a tiny soothing voice to her new friend.
"Hey there!" Sun exclaimed to her pokemon, "I've decided to nickname you Poppy, is that alright with you?" She asked. "Be~♫" The fairy nodded and smiled. "I remember Flabebe being a little bit bigger than you are... but maybe I was just really small the last time I saw one!" Sun laughed. She had forgotten how small these pokemon really are, but she was excited nonetheless.
---
The two had spent some time bonding in the central area of Sandgem town before deciding to take a road that lead to the next city over. Sun was going to return Poppy to her ball, but the pokemon had a better idea! The single bloom pokemon climbed into her trainer's bag and poked her head out from the pocket she was in. Sun smiled and with a burst of energy, ran down the path into the route!

Kaiser The four klefki danced around the fennekin tauntingly. One klefki got too close, falling for a tail whip taunt, and tehn a tackle attack, however the rain on klefki's smooth body caused most of the impact to slide right off. Though each klefki wasnt particularly powerful, they were certainly great at working together. Their synced movements were proof of this. One klefki glowed brightly behind fennekin, as the others surrounded its front. The one behind unleashed a fairy lock attack, sending out chains of energy that surrounded the tiny fox pokemon. This took away its escape routes. While one klefki set up the stage, the other three began to spin, conjuring a large pink mass of wind. THe water from the rain dance combined with the wind, causing the attack to have added droplets to it. The klefki shot the wind forward in a swift gale. The klefki in the back would be hit, but that seemed to be a calculated risk that they were willing to take. Conor watched how Fennekin was struggling with the Klefki bunch, even when she tried to attack she would still get hurt, and to worsen thungs up, Fennekin didn't eemed interested in listening to him. Conor shrugged as the Klefki bound Fennekin with some sort of fairy chains while the others prepared to attack her, if something would be done it had to be done now. Conor thought for a second and turned to Fennekin "use your Fire Pledge on the Klefki holding you and then run as fast as you can to dodge the attack!" the boy called, he wasn't sure Fennekin would listen but it was worth the shot. Fennekin struggled to move but as she realised her trainer was having a good idea, specially when the odds were 3 on 1, she decided to listen just this once and turning around as fast as she could, she released fire pilars towards the Klefki, wether or not they would hit or be enough to scape the bigger attack from the rest of the group, was yet to be seen.

"What the hell?!" Yumi was frustrated now. The pokemon could block her attacks with its sheath juat like that. Her anger turned into a spark of joy. "Thats it, im catching you for sure." She was glad that she started her journey with pokeballs in hand. "Torque!" She shouted. "One more time, ember!" Yumi's torkoal took in a deep breath, its volcanic back glowed furiously. "Make it hot!" With that as the signal, torque launched fireballs larger than normal at the pokemon, ignoring the slashes of the fury cutter. It was like the ultimate sheild facing the ultimate sword. Yumi readied her pokeball. If they could touch slugma found in her home, they should be able to work through fire. As the flames shot out, yumi chuvked her pokeball forward. She was going to add this strong pokemon to her team.

(my computer keeps closing about every 10 minutes and erasing my posts and copy/paste isnt working, so I will make concise responses this time around. Really frustrated right now T^T ) Sai was happy that the attack seemed to be working. He had no interest in catching the pokemon, but also didnt want to hurt it. He couldnt think for too long, as he was interrupted by an ember attack. He had seen it before with Yumi's torkoal, and at least knew its limits from their battle. Syrus didnt even have to tell Grace to dodge, as she was already jumping backward. However, what appeared to be an after image was left behind. Despite Grace being a few feet away and outside of the ring of flames, the image stayed clear. Syrus pulled up his pokedex, revealing that the after image was actually a double team attack! This is what was happening to his ralts in their last 3 battles. She must of been getting to this attack steadily. Syrus watched as the flames surrounded the double team figure. It wasnt long before the image dissipated from exposure to the heat. They would have to train together to get the attack better. Sai looked around at the ground. He couldnt hit the pokemon directly with confusion, that would be too much. He set his eyes on the soot collected at the ground. "Grace, under you!" Grace looked down at the soot and understood. The small green pokemon rose its hands into the air and collected the black stuff from the surrounding area using its confusion. This was easy to manipulate for Grace, as it was light and required less concentration to move. Grace shot the clumps of soot forward, hoping to temporarily blind the pokemon for an escape, or to scare it off. THe soot would also help put out the surrounding fires if it landed correctly. Dracoon
Furfrou cackled as it watched the smaller pokemon succumbed to its attack. It was even more amused that a weaker looking pokemon came forth. It didnt look like anything special, so furfrou simply laughed some more. It wasnt until scraggy came forward with its low kick attack that the furry pokemon became serious. It attempted to dodge, being a much faster pokemon, however because it was busy laughing at its opponent, its reaction time was slower. AS it tried to jump, its front legs avoided the sweeping leg, however its hind legs got caught quite easily. Furfrou fell on its face, which had the least bit of fur padding. It was clear from even far away that the furry pokemon had fainted.
ClefA ways away, frolicking in a field of flowers, was a small blue pokemon. It had ears and a lose that were both long and flopped tirelessly with each jump from the pokemon. It was most likley young, as it did not have the instinct to be particularly cautious. despite its large ears, it wasnt particularly any better at hearing than a human was. It way have been lucky for passing trainers, but unlucky for the tiny pokemon. Found:

H o n e d g e C a p t u r e d Careful Nature Increase of Special Defense/Decrease in Special Attack Bio: Honedge is part of a wide family of honedge, doublade, and aegislash, whose original home was in and around a castle in Kalos. The area was becoming too crowded, and the family decided to find another place to live to avoid fights for territory and food. Honedge 's family migrated from the Kalos region, pretending to be shipping goods on an artifacts boat. In the unfamiliar place, the family split up to find a suitable place to live, planning to come back to Sandgem town once they had found it to tell the others. Unfortunately, after a few months of waiting, honedge had given up, and simply roamed off on its own. Honedge would occasionally trick trainers into trying to pick it up, using the chance to sap some energy from them for food. This pokemon often observes those around it, feigning being an object, then waits and strikes when it gathers enough information to strike.

Manta Blinded, the Tepig turned tail and fled into the woods, confused and disoriented by the sudden turn of events and squealing in fear. The small fires Tepig had made also dissipated, thankfully, due to the soot quickly smoldering the embers before they could spread into something more dangerous. A lone Pansear wandered out, attracted by the heat given off and waving a friendly hello to the boy and his Ralts. It seemed harmless enough, barely a threat: what was special was the strange Berry in its paws that seemed valuable. Pansear dug around a bit, looking for some stray fires it could roast its berry in, before shaking its head and trailing past the duo, leaving its berry behind in disappointment. Found: 1x ----- Yoori hi-fived Scraggy, who eagerly accepted the gesture as he returned it. They crossed over the fainted Furfrou in search for any more worthy foes to take up, and Scraggy once more wandered off into the grass by himself. Scraggy soon returned with some useless stalks of grass, eagerly presenting a dandelion to Yoori before he blew it, watching the seeds flutter away and quickly getting distracted. Yoori seemed mesmorised for once by the dandelion, but returned to herself as she pulled out her telescope, wondering what was in the horizon before stiffening at the sight of something far away moving. "Oh," she exclaimed in some concern, and Scraggy jumped underneath her, trying to get a glance from her telescope and figure out what exactly was moving. Event?

The swirling ash crashed into the tepig with moderate force. Though not particularly effective as an attack, it successfully blinded the pig and sent it on its way. Syrus was proud that he could handle the confrontation with the least amount of violence, however in the back of his head, he couldnt shake that he might have been able to handle it better. To top it off, the ember fires were dying down. so things went pretty well at least. Not too long after the battle, he saw a small pokemon that looked like it was most likely a fire type, playing with the fires. It couldnt find any that were still going strong, and left behind a small berry. Being an expert in berries from working as a chef with his father, he identified it as a Passho Berry. He was more of an expert on taste and clinary application, but he remembered that it helped with something to do with water type attacks. The information wouldnt be in his pokedex, so maybe he could ask his dad later on. Syrus walked over to Yumi, who seemed to be finishing her battle. It was so great that they had both gotten a little extra battle experience. Dracoon Just off in the distance, on the border of the forests and the beaten path on the area, a few small pokemon could be seen. There were three in total, each the same short and stumpy looking pokemon. They each had what looked like a disapproving look on their faces, as if they were frustrated or something. The three were dancing around a pile of dead, damp leaves, singing and jumping up and down in moderate delight. Approaching them would be dangerous however, as each one was releasing quite a bit of stun spore with each leap. Surrounding flying pokemon knew to avoid the area, leaving the group of grass types to lower their guard in the powder saturated area.
Approximate Level : 7
Special Move(s): N/A KaiserThe fairy lock could not avoid the attack of the fire type, being consumed by the younger pokemon's fire. This klefki, like the one before, fell down after just one attack, faking a loss and closing its eyes. The remaining three klefki continued their fairywind attack, chuckling as they blew the pink wind around the fire type. With its attention being drawn by the now fallen lone klefki, the other three had time to finish their group attack. The triple fairy wind, which were pretty weak alone, swirled roughly around the fire fox in a tornado of pink wind. The rain swirling tornado picked up dirt and dust as it spun, the klefki dancing around their victim.

Yoori noticed the slightly-yellow tinted mist swirling around the group of stumpy mushroom Pokémon, whom she recognised from the Resort Area's rental Pokémon as Shroomish. "Hmm...Shroomish evolves into Breloom, which is also a Fighting-type, but is quad-weak to Flying. Similar to how someone is quad-weak to Fairies," she stated pointedly while checking her Pokédex and Scraggy scowled, folding his arms and looking away from his owner. "I think we really should just bypass them," she continued, putting her Dex away to peer through the telescope again, "They look like they're dancing or something, probably shouldn't disturb them." Scraggy sagged, figuring that they would not be able to fight the Shroomishes, but accepted his owner's telescope to look at the Shroomish: they did seem to be doing nothing of much value, and he conceded it was better to leave them alone.
She folded the telescope back into her bag, walking along with Scraggy to keep on the path to the next town instead. Scraggy soon grew bored of following the usual route and dashed into the grass, daring his owner to go catch him- Yoori scrunched her face up and began stomping into the grass again, before she gave up on being prim and chased after her Pokémon, cursing Scraggy out all the way.

"Alright!" Yumi shouted, picking up her pokeball. She was overjoyed in capturing the tough pokemon. It had the defense of her torkoal and the attack to match. She wasnt too knowledgeable about this pokemon's workings, how it floated, how it thought, or what to feed it, but was excited to find out. She turned to her companion. "Yo, Sai dude" She came up with the name by mixing his ralts' type and his name. "Didja see that?!" She called him over. "C'mon, let's go, let's go!" While she waited, she looked at her pokeball. "I gotta come up with a nickname for this guy...but I should probably hit the Pokemon center first, y'know, Torque?" Her torkoal nodded happily. He was happy to have another member of the team as well. "Hurry up dude!" She called. "I wanna get to the next town!"

Syrus turned his head to hear Yumi calling him. Apparently she had caught a new pokemon. Sai recognized it from his home region to be a honedge, a ghostly pokemon that sort of creeped him out. Sai jogged over to his travel buddy and smiled. "I am sure we got a lot of experience from our battles, huh?" He looked up at the taller girl with his normal innocent smile and walked along side her towards the next town. "Grace learned a new move!" He chimed. "It really help with defensive strategies. Anything to protect little Grace, here." His ralts began to blush, walking alongside her trainer. Manta looked up just ahead. Something was reflecting sunlight in a patch of grass ahead. "Hey Yumi, what's that? You should go check it out." Dracoon

Yoori tripped, tumbling into the grass as Scraggy gave pause, quickly trotting over to help her out. "I don't need your- help-" she sputtered, her mouth filled with mud as she aggressively preened herself before noticing where she currently was: there seemed to be some freshly-put out fires around them, and Scraggy picked up a small chunk of charred wood and offered it to her. Yoori wiped her mouth, recognising the charred wood as an item- Charcoal, which boosted the usage of Fire-type moves. "This has got to be a joke," she snapped, angrily patting herself down as she glared at the warm chunk in her hand, "I have not a single Fire-type to my goddamned name, and I've already gotten a TM plus an item for a Fire type. It's as if the universe is asking me to get one or something." Without a second thought, she put it in her bag- she would think about all these later.
Scraggy looked most apologetic as Yoori sat under a slightly singed tree, pulling out snacks for everyone: she had some corn chips, and Scraggy was offered an enormous chocolate Poképuff the size of half his face. Aron was let out too, and Yoori let her feast on a strawberry Poképuff (in the hopes that the metal puppy would leave her Pokédex, balls and shoes alone). After once again jabbing herself with insulin, courtesy of Scraggy carrying the epipen around, Yoori pulled out a carbonated Soda Pop and drank it in a single gulp. "Sun has to set, it's killing me," she complained again- Scraggy continued eating, rolling his eyes at her incessant whining but doing nothing to stop her. The food's scent probably traveled though, and perhaps setting up camp in the middle of what pretty much qualified as a site of arson was probably a bad idea on all counts.
