I'm really hoping someone decides to start without a pokemon :3 It will be kind of like playing the storyline of Ethan/Lyra who have their own pokemon and then Silver who has to find his own means of getting a pokemon. Of course without stealing one (unless they want)

Mdf- Premier balls are going to be quite rare in this rp, since they are kind of like cherish balls in that they are given away at special events. If Verity wants her pokemon to be captured in them she will have to wait to get her hands on some and then transfer her pokemon over. You can change your pokemon's pokeball, but the old one becomes useless.

Oh really? It's always been her thing to use only Premier Balls in every RP I've ever tried to use her in and I put it in her application as a fun fact thing. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal because they're exactly like Pokeballs (catch rate and all) but white with a red stripe. Also, I just decided to do that for appearance value but I did create a background story for her if she was ever asked about her mother using Premier Balls as her signature thing but...I guess I can alter all that. Or else, can I just spray paint all her Pokeballs?

I'm just going to be really stingy with poke balls in this rp since in the anime the other types are pretty hard to come by. Think of premier balls as like limited edition so they aren't available in stores. Great and ultra balls are rare too

Well then, if the RP is starting over, I guess I might as well start with a new character. Name: Gale Gender: Male Age: 13 Hometown: Olivine City Appearance: Personality: Cheerful and relaxed type of kid. He gets overlly excited when he sees a Water Type pokemon, or pokemon that live in the water/ocean. Gale has the habit of speaking to every pokemon he sees, even when they would not listen or have owners. Is greatly inexpierenced in battles since he has never been part of one, but knows almost to perfection every move a water pokemon can learn (Water Type moves), but not which pokemon can learn which move, so he will likely tell a Magikarp to use Hydro Pump because in his mind, it is a Water pokemon so it must be able to use that move. History: Having grown up in a port city, Gale was fascinated with ocean life pokemon, visiting the nearby beach at Route 40 to watch them. Most of the time he would only sit on the rocks with his feet on the water and drawing on his notebook the pokemon he saw everyday, from the simpliest Magikarp to the rarest Lapras he only saw once in his life, he even drew the Wingulls and Pellipers that flew past him every oncein a while. Other times he would just go swim as far of the bech as he could just to spend some time with these pokemon. He even grow attached to a Krabby that accompanied him everyday to watch the pokemon. As soon as he heard of Prof. Elm recieving applicants to gift them a starter pokemon and pokedex, he knew he wanted to be one of those lucky kids. Other: Gale carries with him the notebook he took to the beach everyday in which he has drawn every pokemon he has seen. They are not amazing drawings, but they help him remember all the pokemon he likes and got the notebook in his journey so he would be able to draw every other pokemon he likes. By spending most of his time in the beach, almost every pokemon he knows is a Water Type so he is not aware of most pokemon and will be likely to take his time to watch a pokemon and add it to his notebook before he even tries to catch or even battle with it.

:S I only hoped I wouldn't get a fish pokemon, it would just make it impossible to use it outside of water... Can I have a reroll please? If not well... I guess I'll be picking Whismur :/

I'm not going to do rerolls in this rp because I want to make people use pokemon they didn't imagine having. I personally think it would be fun to have a Goldeen since it would add to the challenge and your character loves water types. If you aren't interested in any of the choices you can choose to start with no pokemon. The perks of befriending a pokemon is that they can be a lot stronger than a starter and certain pokemon that are too large can't be starters while any pokemon can be befriended as long as it matches the environment. The only problem is getting your hands on a pokedex, but there will be a quest you can do to purchase one.

Hmm.. you are right, and I really wanted my character to start off with a water type. But, if I'd choose Goldeen, how would it be possible to do battles in certain areas? I won't lie, I've been considering it would be an interesting story to have Gale bond with a Goldeen, the only problem I find is having a way to use Goldeen outside of water. If you could help me thinking how could it b played, I'll be ready to start RPing with Goldeen as Gale's starter.

But I also must say, Kaiser, just as a helpful note to you, that fish Pokemon aren't bound entirely to water. Clef once said (and I remembered and searched for the quote on Vdex from Johto);
So my interpretation here is that the fish have evolved to probably still require moisture for survival but can sustain themselves for short periods of time outside the Pokeball (which obviously provide some sort of ideal/livable atmosphere because fish don't die every time they get retunred, lol) or water, similar to lungfish though it might be a bit of a clumsy battler on land?

Correct, Mdf. Fish pokemon can battle on land, but they are extremely limited with movement and they need to be returned after a period of time.
Just use all of your creativity, like maybe you can turn Water Sport to your advantage in land battles

Hmm... I forgot about that quote, but you're right, I do remember that. Well, I gues I'll have to use my creativity then, and Water Sport sounds like a life saver if and when Goldeen'll need it.
It is settled, I'll startof with Goldeen then. Just a question, I didn't got it very clear, we should start, like in the other RP, with the letter reading and have out characters get to Elm's lab? Or am I just confused?

Just read the other intros and do something similar. You can roleplay the entire meeting with Elm if you want or you can go back and forth with me like Mdf did.
