Oh gosh this is perfect. So I'm thinking that we should come up with some professors and classes and such since we have some characters and some cultural things for the students to do.

Quick dump -
I think the core classes should pretty much be the same as they are in Hogwarts, since those are the core areas of magic. Of course, the focus of each subject might be different due to the drastically different setting and history of Mahou, but I mean, if we look at irl subjects taught in schools (literature, history, science, etc.), they're pretty universal. So we'd have:
- Charms - Transfiguration - Potions - Herbology - Astronomy - Defense Against the Dark Arts - History of Magic - Arithmancy (I have the feeling this would actually be a standard course at Mahou, rather than an elective.)
And for electives: - Alchemy - Care of Magical Creatures - Divination - Muggle Studies - Traditional Martial Magic (dueling incorporating philosophies and movements from traditional Japanese martial arts?) - Traditional Arts Magic (magic incorporated into ancient Japanese arts, such as ikebana (flower arrangement), shodou (calligraphy), painting, music, etc.)
I think calligraphy and music are requirements at the elementary and junior high levels, so maybe Traditional Arts Magic could have two tiers: the first one being the mandatory requirement, and the second one for those students who wish to continue studying the field.
