Name: Finnian "Finn" Eoin Breckenridge Age: 15 Gender Identity: Male Personality: Finn is a bit of a mama's boy and a crybaby by most people's standards. And his quiet ways and effeminate build (and the fact that he lets his mother pick out his clothes, which doesn't help any) often make people think he is weak. But he is proud and loyal and honest and strives to do better to be tough and prove himself. Battling is something he really wants to experience and he has high hopes that a journey with Pokemon will make him bettert overcome his weaknesses. History: His mother and father coddled him from a young age, up until he was about 9 and his father started expecting him to be more manly and take on a more macho role in the household. He tried but could never seem to please his father as he was always much softer and weaker than even he himself would have liked. His family moved from Violet City, Johto to Pallet Town in Kanto only a few short years ago and he tried to make friends with some of the local kids but mainly stayed at home anyway due to his skin, which would easily burn and caused his mother to get fussy scrubbing his neck and face with aloe and sunscreen, making him too uncomfortable to enjoy being out in the sun for long. Finn longed for independence even though he secretly thought he might not be good enough to succeed on a Pokemon journey and privately was fairly nervous he'd be eaten by an Ursaring in his first few minutes past the safety of human civilization in the wild, untamed woods and tall grasses where truly feral, wild Pokemon made their homes. However, Finn still wanted to begin his Pokemon journey at age 10, like most other children seemed to, and his father prompted this wish but his mother always cried when the subject was brought up and bawled at the thought of her baby leaving home and being in danger and never coming back. He let his mother's mixture of love and fear control him and hold him back for five long years until he finally took a stand. Professor Oak personally offered him a chance to travel the Kanto region and take the gym challenge with a Pokemon of his very own and Finn told his family with a week's notice of his decision to leave on his own journey. He hopes his father will be proud and knows his mother is despite her worries. He has promised to keep in touch with them constantly but most of all Finn hopes he is truly ready to begin his adventure. Sexual Orientation: Biromantic Heterosexual MBTI: ISFJ Pokemon:

Name: Jemma 'Yoonhee' Jo Age: 17 Gender Identity: Female Personality: Painfully candid by nature, yet always friendly, Yoonhee is usually quite the popular person in social circles. She comes across as mildly vindictive, yet more or less ditzy enough to just shake off anything that comes her way. Hot-tempered and brash, Yoonhee is quick to speak her mind and draw blood with her words if she must, but that should not be confused with just straight-forward brashness. In private, Yoonhee is lyrical and quite intelligent- she has the habit of using the filler 'like' while speaking. History: Living a simple life in Celadon, Yoonhee never quite liked the great outdoors. Despite being an excellent archer and quite skilled in hand-to-hand combat (which meant even without Pokémon she could probably hold her own), Yoonhee's one true calling was writing and often sent in essays for a column she runs in the Pokémon Daily, Kanto's only newspaper. The editors soon found this boring and urged Yoonhee to actually leave the comfort of her house in order to write something much more exciting- for example, her adventures with Pokémon. With much misgivings, the girl packed up her essentials and decided that she would have to approach Professor Oak in the event that she wouldn't actually be mauled to death the moment she stepped into a patch of tall grass. Party: Other: Yes, she's deliberately androgynous.

In the past, in journey RPs and such, we've stuck to two main systems, either all abilities can be utilized by a Pokemon (including hidden abilities) or the trainer picks one and Hidden Abilities would tend to be preferably rarer. Which seems most simplistic? Maybe when more people join we can let the group decide?

I think we can just decide later, because I feel Starters tend to be stuck with their generic abilities especially (for example, Blaze Charmander vs Solar Power Charmander) so I proposed that.

Name: Riley Elkins Age: 17 Appearance: Gender Identity: Male Personality: Riley is an extremely likable person. Although he really enjoys to talk to others and find out more about them, he also really enjoys his alone time. Resting and taking in his surroundings while evaluating his previous and future decisions is really relaxing to him. While he does try to give off a sort of confident vibe, he is rather insecure and is constantly thinking of ways to better himself as both an individual and team leader (Pokemon-wise). Because of his extreme consideration of others and what they say, he takes all insults to heart. It takes a lot to reverse something negative said to him and he will always hold on to those facts. History: Riley is a pretty simple person from a pretty simple background. When he was younger, he had always wanted to grow up and do something non-Pokemon related. His choices normally jumped between various types of manual labor. First a construction worker, then a landscaper, then a carpenter. It all lasted until he was about 12 and found that Pokemon really were enjoyable. His father began exposing him to different kinds and encouraging any kind of journey he may want to take. While his parents did support his initial choices, they were not completely happy with them. When he finally changed his mind around the age of 16 and decided to become a Pokemon trainer, his parents were relieved and completely supported the decision. They pushed him into this adventure the next year and continue to support him. Being that they were about middle-class and he is an only child, they are able to send him occasional financial support. This normally means that he's rather happy and stress-free.

My application will go here later, but for now, please enlighten this humble newb: what dress-up are you using for those images? nvm I found it! Working on application now. App is complete. -- Name: Savitri "Savi" Espinoza Age: sixteen Appearance:[/a]). • They have sharp, narrow, dark brown eyes, emphasized by their tightlining them with dark eyeliner. • Due to their Indian heritage, their skin is on the darker side. • Their current outfit is a three-quarter-sleeved shirt, jeans, and gold-laced sneakers (all black), along with a distinctive red scarf and black gloves. They also wear two mismatched gold hoops in each ear. • They are biologically female and do not always actively try to hide that fact.[/ul] Gender Identity: agender Personality:Unusually composed for their age, Savi prefers to remain distant and to fly under the radar. Because humans - strangers and loved ones alike - tend to fail them more often than not, they would rather stay holed up in their room with a nice thick stack of history books and a decent RPG. However, when the need arises, they are unafraid of action: they swiftly assess, devise a precise plan, and execute it with an almost frightening lack of hesitation. Intellectually and morally, they are most concerned with the cultural history of the relationship between Pokémon and humans: where it came from, where it will go, what will happen when the tenuous balance of power is tipped, and who will be responsible for tipping the scale. Practically, this manifests in seemingly odd actions such as Savi battling with only Pokémon that agree to battle. History:Other:[/i] "Sunshine (Adagio in D Minor)" - John Murphy (Sunshine: Music from the Motion Picture)• alignment true neutral • sexual orientation They're working on it. • MBTI INTP[/ul] Party-- Aaand it looks like I'm not going to use the dress-up after all since it didn't have the look I wanted. :( Thanks for the link, though, Mdf! Also, I didn't want to put this in the profile since it's my preference, not the character's, but it would be much easier for me if the Pokémon was from Gen IV/V or before - I haven't played anything since FRLG, and I'm nowhere near as familiar with the new Pokémon line-ups as I am with the older ones. Feel free to RNG whatever, though, if it's easier for you that way.

Name: Lennox (Len) Glass Age: 15 Appearance: Gender Identity: Male Personality: Len is a generally timid boy who carried the occasional sprout of confidence. Lacking in social skills with others, Len gets along much better with pokemon. He often takes the time to see the good in others, while also being able to tell when to fight. Seeing as he can doesn't normally talk to others, Len usually has a lot of room to think in his own mind, leading to intricate strategies and forward thinking. He enjoys looking at beautiful things. History: Len was held back from pokemon training by his mother after a small accident involving a pokemon that caused him a scar on his face. Becuase of this, he was kept home away from other kids growing up and used most of his time thinking of the future. Pokemon contests on television brought about a particular interest in making things beautiful, and Len would frequently imagine competing. Finally convincing his mother after so long, He was finally able to go off on a journey (Provided that he right frequently to her). His mother gave him a collar around his neck in an attempt to make him look tough, but Len doesn't think it has that effect. Party:Other: *Homosexual (becuase why not) *Although he finds it embarrassing, he has been mistaken for female many times with the teasing nickname 'Lennette'.
