Yes, I'm terrible.
Any interest in dystopian tortured Pokémon hybrids?
My hand is raised from behind the screen, but not everyone else is interest so here goes.
The Premise and Character Genres
Gridlock Asylum is actually a research facility created to test human reaction towards Pokémon DNA. There are 3 storeys to the building. The lowest storey houses the less dangerous Subjects, along with the cafeteria and garden. These Subjects usually have 1 Agent catering to them, and the thumbprint scanners only recognise Agents' fingerprints. These Subjects can come out twice a day for meals and to walk around, other times for experimentation. Once the door of the room closes it is automatically locked. The second storey holds the type-specific cages(such as aquatic cages for the Water-type Subjects) and more dangerous Subjects. These Subjects have their meals inside their cages and have to be sedated in order to be taken to tests. The third storey is the various labrooms, each for a different Scientist, and also the bedrooms of Agents. Some Agents still live in cages due to their voliatile Malfunctions.
Teenagers and adults were taken across the country and given a serum of Pokémon DNA(in fact, some with stronger bodies were given up to 3), thus marking their transformation into hybrids- Subjects. They were then branded with a serial number and left in jail cells. Thought these people gain special abilities with their new bodies, they also have Malfunctions- physically, psychologically or emotionally. Many were driven insane, forcefully put down by electrical shock by the scientists overseeing the project. Some even managed to escape, to the horror of those who had believed Gridlock was an inpenetratable prison.
Agents are the law in this place. These Agents also have 1 or 2 types of Pokémon DNA in them, and most of time they accompany the Subjects as they take their 2 meals and for the experiments designed to 'tweak' their Malfuctions, in the process making them into the ultimate military weapon. Some Agents came on their own accord, other converted from Subjects due to their good track records. Interestingly, some of these Agents do not pledge full allegience to the Scientists and may be willing to help the subjects in their escape attempts. You just have to be lucky. Most of them are armed, some even using their implants as their ways of defense.
Then there are the Scientists. These are the ones that run tests to correct the defects present in the Subjects and sometimes even the Agents. Most of them are heartless beings who believe that all this is for the advancements of science, as they fear that 'bleeding hearts' would ruin things by telling the whole world about the atrocities surrounding this place. The Scientists are generally pure human, with only a few that are willing to endure the excruciating process of giving themselves 1 type of Pokémon DNA. They mostly let the Agents do all the work, and usually stay inside their labrooms. They are armed- with syringes and will not hesitate to eletrocute or sedate uncooperative Subjects.
There are also Trackers, whose motives are unknown.
After the body of Damien was discovered(he was killed nearing the end of the original storyline), Humans have now joined in the search. Some of these are just Trainers, curious about the massively-powerful Pokémon surrounding the forest or people who live around the forest and fear the repercussions of being killed as well. They may or may not have links to the Subjects, Scientists and Agents in Gridlock, but if they search hard enough they may just discover Gridlock. It is now a race to stop them from finding out. Agents have been given orders to shoot or attack Humans moving around the premise, but as of now none have done so. Most want to escape so they welcome Humans, even.
It was also assumed that Gridlock was destroyed during a mass breakout- but nothing has confirmed the disappearance or simply contributed to the lawless organization disappearing from the public eye. It simply was forgotten- like how fleeting and fickle the media can be.

It all started like every old day. Unless you count the strange people that stood outside your door. They brandished some documents, and convinced your parents/guardian that you were 'clincally insane' and was due to start treatment at Gridlock Asylum, a place specially dedicated to treat mental illnesses. They then showed them some brochures, while some more hooded men took you away. They would be able to visit, they reassured, silencing your pleas of 'I'm not insane, I'm really not!' with a clang of thick metal doors. Before you know anything, you are knocked out by Tasers.
On the outside, Gridlock seems like a beautiful place, almost like a hotel. Pearly chandeliers dot the ceiling and there are nice, clean beds for the patients. Then the real thing comes. A dreary, monotonous building with jail doors that automatically shut once a prisoner is inside. Most of the time, you are in solitary confinement. As you regain consciousness, you find that you seem to have changed. Changed, for better or for worse? You now have Pokémon implants replacing supposed body parts. Hmm. If you are part-Flying, you would also realise that your wings are either clipped or weighed down by chains to prevent flight occuring. Claws are clipped, and attacks are not even known.
What the hell is this? Is this all a bad dream?
This is just the beginning.

Forage into insanity. Be insanity. For there is no turning back.
