Or my magestic Froslass can just freeze us a bridge path on the water and we can ride along on Meganium all the way across the oceans to our destinations! Creative and badass.

becuase some of the gym leaders have been kidnapped, the gyms are closed. So so far, only the badge of Gym Leader Roxanne could have been obtained. (but they are obtained quicker here) I may just close the Hoenn Rp and let people use their past pokemon/characters from that, but yeah, you could probably use chespin. but also remember the rp that you opened, Kaiser. didn't you have a team on that? Ah yes, old Broskii... I miss you my dear RP... {Spoiler} lol I suppose so (meganium, not bayleef since it is 4 feet tall and under 40 pounds) remember that hoenn is like..surfing central. It would be benificial to either bring a ridable swimming pokemon, make friends with someone who does, or hope that you can catch one later. Then I am tempted to choose my Gyarados I'm thinking of using Gyarados, Nidoran (would evolve to Nidorino) and Elekid... but if I did, I would be using Kaiser then since I got all of them with him and would make it easier for me to RP with him. But, I'm not usre if I should, you guys are probably tired of watching me using the same character over and over :s I'd like to hear opinions on that matter please since it would greatl influence my decision on what character and which pokemon I would use.

With that point in mind, in Kanto Sammiya had caught a mantine which she called Elu... The problem would then be choosing who to replace out of Kousui or Maya... Unless stoutlands are rideable? They're under four feet but weight 134 pounds? (They also can learn Surf, but...) Stoutland are too small to for anyone but a small child/pokemon to ride, but if you don;'''t mind half of your body in water, you can use it to swim long distances.

Mizumanta Ahhh, makes sense. Since dogs can't... really be ridden without hurting them. Good to know, heheee. And getting a bit wet when surfing makes sense, given splashing. (Particularly if you encounter a Swimmer.)

The only water types I have to choose from are Gastrodon from Unova or Whiscash from Johto (which I don't think can survive in saltwater)
Question: Do pokemon from Academia of Pokemon count? If so then I can choose Clover's Cloyster or Jasper's Chinchou

He did say encounters and those were chosen by you, so I dunno if those would really count...but we'll have to wait for Manta's verdict, of course

I didn't choose cloyster or Chinchou because glaceon22 only let us choose our starter pokemon an the rest were randomized pokemon given to us. The only pokemon I chose were clovers other 3 pokemon

Oh, sorry, I didn't realize. I never really got that far with my other character and Yani was a teacher with predetermined Pokemon from the beginning.

It's fine. I only ask so I can use Cloyster and have a surfing pokemon since Manta said we'd need one. Even though Raticate is a great swimmer I don't think it can swim through an ocean and Fearow or Tropius would get tired of flying.

Like I said, I'm just probably going to ride on my Meganium and have my Froslass freeze the water in our path~ I imagine it like...Pokemon 2000, but cooler~

I would prefer to exclude academia, that...rp where we changed into pokemon, and any rp that were not a region rp.
To get around, you may have a flying pokemon instead. You can even borrow a person's pokemon (even a gym leaders if they trust you enough)
But don't worry, like in regular rps, you can encounter and catch new pokemon. There will be a few special gifts as well (though the oras update beat me to one)
Before I start accepting, are there any other suggestions or concerns?

I have a doubt, Gyarados can obviously surf, that is clear, but since it is a Flying Type (still wondering why Flying instead of Dragon) and it is stated in both anime and games that it can fly, would it be possible to use a Gyarados to Fly?
I have another concern, not about the RP but more about my character. I was thinking on using Kaiser, though, I fear you people might be tired of watching me RPing the same character all the time (which is why I started creating different characters to use in the latests RPs I've joined), so I wanted to ask you all (all who know me and have RPed with me when I used Kaiser) your opinion, should I use kaiser or would it be better to use a different character?

I'm not tired of you using the name Kaiser, myself, but it's up to you. I've stopped using the name Sammiya in RPs since I felt the same and wanted to make more varied characters myself, so I get where your coming from. I am planning on designing a entirely different trainer for this myself, though, with a different name/personality.
It's been really hard to choose which mons to use, but I have decided for sure on: Caefawn (pansear), Kousui(omastar), and Elu(mantine). Elu in particularly will be pretty useful since Mantines can fly.

Gyarados being a flying type is a reference to the Japanese windsock (which is in the shape of a carp) The pokemon itself cannot fly (at least from my observations) In the games, most water type pokemon float above the ground since most feilds do not have a watery place for them to stay. In mewtwo strikes back, it flew, but only due to mewtwo's psychic abilities. Sky battles seem to include any pokemon with part flying type or the levitate ability that does not have animation of it on the ground (so carnivine is in there for some reason but pidgey can't be in them) So no. Gyarados cannot fly, at least in this rp.
For the second question, If you mean if you can use the same name orr sprite, that's fine. The actual characters are not copied though. Each character stays in their respective rps, the only thing that carries over is the pokemon choice (though not the actual pokemon itself) This is purely to give you better choices for your team, not to bring up past trainer/pokemon duos.
