Edited everything with Theo and gave him Knock Off. It only makes sense that he was bought from a breeder anyways cus of how much Newt's family dislikes adventures and what not.
I'll get a post up ASAP!

Replying as a guest, Kiz? That's so...weird...Anyway, age is a factor that increases level too but it's minor and varies with species so it's really up to you~ As for Spesh, it all looks to be in order now, though maybe when you're updating your profile page in the future, you might want to edit that note at the bottom to get rid of it, hahaha? Anyway, I'm actually surprised you passed up an Elemental Punch but to each his/her own~ I can't wait for you all to start posting so we can get this show on the road~!

The elemental punches were a thought, but then I realized how it wouldn't fit the character of Theo. He's more of a smarts kinda guy and the reason for Knock Off was going to be used as a hit and run type thing with Teleport just because he doesn't want to get up close for too long. This would make sense with elemental punches but I would imagine those take time to charge up, unlike a nice smack to the face or something of the like, haha.
EDIT: If I miss anything, forgive me. I'm sleepy. ._.

I love how you said that Dante the Wurmple won you over and now you just found one. It really was randomized, I can prove it with a screenshot if you want!! Wow, strange. Anyway, Wurmple noticed as did I that it's rather strange that Theo is awake at this time of day and also talking rather than communicating through a more natural (for Psychic types anyway) telepathic relay? I like it, because it creates a distinction between him and wild members of his species that he has adjusted to a natural human sleep clock to best augment his relationship with his human partner and that he talks aloud with Newt not only to supplement his trainer's lack of vocal presence but also maybe as a means of making the trainer more comfortable or maybe just because he's so used to being around humans that he's adopted a preference for vocal communication even if he can use other methods? It's very interesting and if you ever meet a wild Abra, I fully expect you to explore those concepts (or I'll push you to anyway, hahaha) but it might be an interesting behavioral tidbit to mention every so often~

A Wurple would be cool because I've always loved the evolutions on both ends. Dustox and Beautifly are both pretty sweet.
Yeah, I actually determined his telepathic abilities would probably not be shown with other people. Something with their childhood and him already being bullied for having a Pokemon making him try to hide the Pokemon's powers, so Theo generally only speaks in telepathy if he has to warn Newt. And, even then, he prefers spoken tongue. But, in the end, the two together do make a good duo. The personalities fit rather well together with his Pokemon being an older sibling type.

Just so you know, Spesh, you don't have to quote me every time you respond. Especially not when you were just the last post response but even if you weren't, I'd go back and find what you were replying to~ EDIT: And before I forget, the Wurmple you encountered is male and level 6. Also, drac, if you reply a little bit more you will soon have a little surprise awaiting you~

Spesh, I apologize profusely. I typed up a response earlier and was under the impression that I had sent it but I was mistaken, so I'm sorry that I've been replying elsewhere and seemingly ignoring you here. As to everyone else, where y'all at? Something up? No one is posting...

Name: Michi Mizushima Age: 14 Sexuality: Demisexual Appearance: Michi has dark red hair pulled up into two pigtails, and gold eyes often covered with goggles to protect her eyes from bad weather. Tends to wear a brown long-sleeved shirt with a lighter brown vest, and then a dark brown jacket on top, as well as jeans and hiking boots. She's average in height and weight, although at first glance might be easily mistaken to be a boy. She also has a pretty dark tan from spending time outside. Personality: Michi is an extremely bright and cheery person, being very friendly and affectionate to the people she's close to. She's highly optimistic, and tries to find good inside of everyone no matter what they've done. She tends to speak rather casually, but is still careful with her words to avoid the possibility of upsetting anyone. While she befriends people easily, she doesn't normally connect to them on a romantic or close friends level until she's known them for quite some time. Pokemon: Meyrin is the off-spring of Michi's parent's pokemon and was born shortly before Michi was. The two grew up alongside one another, becoming extremely close and almost like siblings. Meyrin chose to become Michi's permanent partner, wanting to stick close to her friend and "sister". Meyrin speaks excellent English, and is a bright, chirpy happy little gooey one. Gender: Female Level: 5 Ability: Sap Sipper Moves: Tackle/Bubble/Absorb/Poison Tail A rather proud Charmander that Michi encountered. He decided to allow Michi to capture him after she saved him from dying due to being poisoned by Meyrin. Gender: Male Level: 14 Ability: Moves: Ember/Growl/Scratch History: Michi was born in Pastoria City, where her parents are licsensed breeders. She grew up alongside Meyrin, playing in the marshes close to the city when she was old enough to wander around by herself as long as she stayed within sight of the city. When Michi was about eight she saw a trainer doing a battle against a wild pokemon, which was her first real exposure to seeing a battle up close. Much to her shock, the trainer wound up killing the wild pokemon, shaking up Meyrin deeply as well. At age ten she had asked her parents about traveling and becoming a official trainer, but her parents told her that they'd prefer her to wait a little while longer, feeling like it would be better for her to be older and more mature so that she could handle some of the more negative aspects of battling and being a trainer. After that, she asked every year about it, until her parents finally decided to let her do so after she turned 14, naturally letting her chose to take Meyrin to be her first Pokemon as a official trainer. Items: - Ultra ball: 1x
- Great Ball 2x
- Pokeball 1x
- Potion: 1x
- Antidote: 1x
- Explorers Kit
- Old Rod
- Holo-caster
- Pretty Wing: 1x
- Guard Spec: 1x
Theme Song: Here~Quote: "Alright~ Let's get going, Meyrin, we have quite the journey ahead of us~" Other: Meyrin's father was a seviper, while her mother was a sligoo. Her father knew Poison Tail, which lead to Meyrin inheriting the move through breeding. Michi=path mizushima= water island For anyone wondering, demisexual means that the person only feels romantic feelings towards people once they have made a deep emotional connection to the person in question, and it's not limited to gender or personality. Also, read the entire comic, and liked it. I adore Talon and Dante~ They're both so cute in their own way~ And the mudkip was pretty cute, too, in it's few appearances. I also love the way they present Brendon and his personality, too. And I liked Lassie A LOT, lklkgklrlkgr... Lassssiiiiieeeeeee....

Don't worry about it, MDF. I wasn't really paying much attention last night anyways cus I got home so late and was so tired.
EDIT: On another note, was there any thought on what the Wurple's name was in his language? I'd rather know that name before I start my post.

Sammiya, you are of course accepted! Your application looks great~ And I feel ya, hun, Lassie's death was terrible on all of us!
Spesh, I actually had no secret intentions behind that or anything, hahaha. I just wanted to leave the name selection up to you in case you caught it, that was all. Any ideas for how I can do that better in the future? I want to let y'all decide like usual, I guess, but I'm torn because I do create a rough character in all encounters (personality shines through a bit, I suppose, and they all have quirks and mannerisms that would be impossible to write without and such) so would it be too controlling to give them pre-decided names, either in English or the Pokemon language? Or should I keep being ambiguous and avoiding names until capture to allow more freedom? Or a mix? Ideas, suggestions, etc?

I like the idea of pre-existing names. Not like you get to name your friends after you meet them IRL so it works. Since they can talk and all, it makes sense for them to ya know, call themselves their own name!

I like that Kizzy, it's a great comparison, especially in this situation where Pokemon aren't so much pets as highly intelligent and independent companions. In some cases, I suppose I may keep it open or if a trainer decides to disregard preferred naming (like Robin and Talon) that may generate a whole different perspective on the subject or even a situation where, for instance, a Pokemon speaks no English like Ryan (though Neina could have just asked Cayden to translate, I suppose, though he'd have been rather miffed). So unless anyone has any objections, I think that might be the primary system used in the future? Sound good?
