The year is 2028. Eighteen years ago, a team was established. They were called "Young Justice" but were often simply referred to as "The Team". Founded thanks to the actions of Robin (Dick Grayson), Kid Flash (Wally West), Speedy (Roy Harper), and Aqualad (Kaldur'ahm), the Team was intended as a small group featuring teenage superhero sidekicks who are members of a covert operation "B-Team" under the authority of the fully fledged members of the Justice League, intended to deal with situations where the Justice League could not take action due to their more visible nature. This intention was more or less successful in fostering an age of new young heroes, already developed in many ways but all in need of continuing their skills practice, experience, and teamwork cooperation capacities.
As the Justice League grew from adult members and more young sidekicks maturing up to becoming fully fledged members of the Justice League, and in light of some mysterious circumstances occurring in the time of the Team's run, the project was abandoned after nine years. Now, for the first time in nine more years, a new Team has been selected.
This new Young Justice project is composed of some former sidekicks of existing Justice League heroes and some solo vigilantes. All possess immense skill and potential; the Justice League is confident that under the careful instruction of JL members and through cooperative efforts and teambuilding, this new generation of heroes has what it takes to continue the legacy of heroes around the world and will one day be a great asset to the protection of humanity, planet Earth, and the rest of the universe.

My WIP application, sorry this isn't done, I wish I could set a better example lol Full Name: Graham Ryan Jordan Alias: Blue Lantern Species: Human Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: hair - ash brown, medium thick at the top and spiked upward, fading sides eyes - cognac brown height - 5'6" [167.64 cm] build - lithe faceclaim - brock kelly clothing style - Preppy and colorful. He prefers shorts and t-shirts in various pastels regardless of the weather though he's more prepared than he often lets on in this regard, always toting around extra layers knowing full well he'd rather be warm than stubborn. Speaking of toting things around, he's constantly wearing a backpack everywhere he goes that contains many essentials and some crap and food and lots of other mysterious (but realistic) things inside. superhero suit - herePersonality: light-hearted, full of hope, passionate, brave, curious, decisive, compassionate, empathetic, adaptable, adventurous, ambitious, creative, loyal, resourceful, witty, self-confident, gregarious, convivial, impulsive, gullible, impatient, easily jealous, sometimes irresponsible, unpredictable, and tactlessPowers: - blue energy conduit - The rings use Blue energy supplied by a Power Battery, which in most cases takes the form of blue light. The Blue energy of hope has an infallible connection to the universe. Hope is the most powerful of light, and thus the universe speaks through it. A Blue Power ring is one of the most powerful weapons in the universe, and has the ability to affect and use fundamental forces of the universe, including electromagnetic energies such as gravity, radiation, heat, light, and powerful blasts of concussive force. The ring can also create fields of force formed from an unknown energy that was bound by the users' will. The limitations of such use are the skill, knowledge and imagination of the user.
- blue energy blasts - The ring can be used to fire blasts of blue energy or create weapons such as projectiles of them. The ring can project beams of force powered by the will of the user. The weapon's power is more an indication of the hope of the user.
- force-field - The ring can create various force-fields of various sizes and shapes to protect the wearer and others around him. With the cosmic scope of a Blue Lantern's abilities, it is only natural that the power ring is designed for operation in space. The ring creates a force-field around the wearer, protecting him/her/it from the hazards of the void including filtration of stellar radiation and microscopic particulate matter which would ordinarily be fatal should the space debris strike the ring wielder at high speeds. An atmosphere appropriate to the ring wielder's biology is created inside the force-field, body temperature is maintained and waste products are removed. Gravitational stresses which could cause injury are stabilized for the ring wielder. Theoretically, a ring wielder could use the ring as their sole source of life support.
- energy constructs - The ring can form constructs of blue energy. Unlike a Green Lantern Power Ring, the primary function of the Blue Power Ring will manifest its constructs in response to the target's specific psychosis, with a soothing effect based on that target's hopes. In this way, the ring can remove the corruptible influence of the red flame of rage by infusing hope. Otherwise, the ring is a weapon capable of transforming the wearer's thoughts into physical constructs through the wearer's mastery of hope. A Blue Lantern can create any particular item or construct that they can imagine as long as they have the mastery of hope necessary to conjure it into existence. The constructs are made out of blue energy, which is a tangible form of pure hope, and they exist only as long as a Blue Lantern is fueling it with their hopefulness. Items created by the rings are not indestructible and are only as powerful as the inspired hope of the Blue Lantern creating them. The types of constructs usually reflects the ring wearer's personality.
- hope empowerment - The Blue Lantern ring is unique in that its base of power, Hope, can be drawn from for strength by the ring user. Being in direct range of the emotional aura of a Blue Lantern allows them to charge an outer power reserve; by the sheer hope of the Lantern, its power will remain constant. The empowerment extends to even the stellar reactions of stars, allowing one to reverse the age of a dying star to that of a relatively newborn star. Solely empowered by the hope of the population that relied on it, in turn empowering the Blue Lantern who then collects and uses it for the purpose of transformation. The ability bypasses the need for ring energy expenditure.
- fear depletion - As fear is the belief of imminent demise, hope is the belief of imminent success. As such, Blue Lantern Rings are capable of depleting the energy of Qwardian Power Rings.
- avarice immunity - A blue ring is not vulnerable to the Orange Lantern Corps' favored tactic of draining energy from other Corps' rings. The reason of this is that while Avarice erodes Will, it can't consume Hope, thus rendering Avarice useless against Hope.
- rage removal - If a subject has been infected with the red light of rage, a Blue Power Ring can create a vision of the subject's greatest hope to calm and heal them. The process behind the removal is part spiritual and part medical: the infected goes through a cellular cleansing, with the Blue energy serving as an antitoxin to purge red plasma from the body. With a spiritual connection active, the subject's mind is alleviated and blood production is restarted. The end result is the subject being safely released from his or her ring.
- flight - By the manipulation of anti-gravitons and directed molecular movement, the ring allows the user to fly at incredible speeds.
- wormholes & spacial warps - The power ring grants its wearer access to wormholes in space, enabling the ring wielder to rapidly cut time and distance needed for transport. Black holes can be navigated by experienced ring wielders.
- limited cellular regeneration - This ring has an ability to heal physical injuries. Blue Lanterns can use the ring to repair injuries in themselves or others.
- electromagnetic scanning - The ring has a wide range of detection abilities based on the imagination of the user. If one can conceive of it, they can detect it. Magical effects like clairvoyance, seem to be the most difficult for the ring. All electromagnetic phenomena are within the range of the ring, including radio, television, infrared, ultraviolet, and high frequency band communications.
- galactic encyclopedia - The earlier rings worn by the Corps functioned as references for their users. Having the vast knowledge of the to draw upon, each ring functioned as a ready reference on most peoples, stellar events and conditions that may have been seen by other rings or other Blue Lanterns. The rings also served as a repository of adventures had by the Blue Lantern and these mission reports were stored in the Prime Battery for review and training.
- universal translator - Keeping in mind the myriad of worlds, life forms, and cultures throughout the cosmos, it is understandable why Guardians of Hope added a translation system to the power ring.
- material alteration - The Blue Lantern's uniform is not made out of fabric. It is created by the Power Ring whenever the wearer wills to wear it. It automatically appears over the wearer's normal clothing, and vanishes when the wearer wills to return to their civilian attire.
- precognition - Upon receiving the ring, Blue Lanterns experience a moment of the future by the Blue Light, directly related to the wielder and with the express purpose of lifting their hopes. Kyle
Weaknesses:- energy interference - As the continuing power of the ring's connection of "universal hope", it has a tendency to cause a form of interference to other power sources.
- willpower symbiosis - Hope is the most powerful emotion in the emotional spectrum, but it cannot reach its full potential without willpower to enact it. In order for the blue power ring to function, it needs the aura of green willpower, supplied by a Green Lantern Ring to be in proximity to it; otherwise, the ring will only allow limited flight, limited energy projection and constructs, and protection from the vacuum of space.
History: more to come, Hal Jordan's nephew, son of Jim Jordan Other: (any other information you wish to include such as theme song, alignment, sexual orientation, MBTI, etc)

Mostly done.
Full Name: Paloma Everett Alias: Saturna Species: humanoid alien Age: 18 human years Gender: female Appearance: silvery-blue skin, tall and somewhat slender in build. dark indigo/purple hair that's somewhat wavy and hangs just past her shoulders. pale orange eyes that have a slight glow to them. blue bioluminescent tongue/insides from her ability to generate & manipulate electricity.
disguised/more 'human' appearance has the same long, slender build with somewhat naturally tanned looking skin. her hair is dark brown and her eyes are a light hazel. she prefers to wear more in-fashion style trends, and always looks well put together. she prefers a lot of cooler colors (ie blues, purples) and grey tones.
superhero get-up: thigh-high armored, light weight boots. lightweight silver armor on her forearms and her chest as well over a light blue leotard/catsuit. She also has a visor that reads electricity and energy levels, and a small tiara.
Personality: Paloma first and foremost there for herself before she is there for anyone else. She is not one to believe in failure for herself or those around her in any aspect, so she tends to do whatever is necessary to succeed - even if it means stepping on those around her and hurting people’s feelings. She’d say she’s sorry, but she’s not. Unapologetic for her actions she’s incredibly confident and open about who she is. She is strong-willed and doesn’t tend to take anyone else’s crap. She will give everyone a chance when first talking to them and is nice enough when it comes to being a friend, but it is doubtful she would take a bullet for you. She is open when it comes to love and passion and can be quite flirtatious. She enjoys when everything goes as planned and doesn’t deal well when it gets out of hand and she can’t control the outcome.
Powers: electricity manipulation - able to generate and manipulate electricity. this includes absorbing it from other sources and storing it, using it as bursts or electrifying conductive materials. - can also use this as technokinesis/can take control of a lot of earth tech. - cons: she can often overload herself with electricity and send off random shots of it and/or pass out.
electromagnetic disruption - yeah
force-field generation - able to create a barrier around her and others near her. duration depends on level of concentration and size of force-field (ie she can make smaller ones last longer).
History: - member of a noble alien family back on her planet. - her father is a current member of the justice league - fostering good will and diplomacy between his planet and earth. she is sort of doing the same in joining the young justice squad. it also helps pass the time and train her powers.
Other: alignment: chaotic neutral mbti: ENTJ sexuality: pansexual theme: boss ass b*tch - nicki minaj

FULL NAME: Thomas Coates ALIAS: Crossroad SPECIES: Human AGE: Nineteen GENDER: Male
HOW HE LOOK THO?: Tall, very skinny, very dark, lanky as heck. His hair is black and tied back into a small bunch which often goes unnoticed unless it is drawn attention to. He wears a thin maroon ring on every finger and is missing his left thumb. He has sallow cheeks and kind eyes with long eyelashes. Always wears crewnecks a size or two bigger than what he is and black skinny jeans. He wears prayer beads around his neck. IN UNIFORM: White full-sleeve, white gloves, white shoes, and white tights. Beads hang from his neck with a maroon triangle at the end made up of three overlapping sticks.
PERSONALITY: Tom is a very good listener and often picks up on fleeting components of a conversation. He is a measured person, always taking as much time as he needs with answers and only inserts himself in situations that concern him or that he feels he can actually contribute to. He firmly believes in retribution and a brand of justice that punishes the corporeal form above all else. Tom has made it a habit to never raise his voice and looks down on people who need to yell to make their points. He is facetious to a fault and sometimes says things that make no sense at all. He cannot recall these things.
POWERS: Splitting - Tom can temporarily split himself into different versions of himself that can all operate on their own with the real Tom being the commander of the different ‘Roads’. He has learned to split into five (5) Roads at this point in time, but gets more vulnerable with every new Road he makes. Unfortunately, if any of the Roads are hurt for whatever reason, Tom takes the pain in real time from wherever he is. If any of the Roads are killed for whatever reason, Tom feels the pain but will not die unless he, the original, is killed (obviously.) Outsourcing - A trickier variation of regular Splitting, Outsourcing allows Tom to pass on his Splitting ability to currently one (1) of his Roads. Because his energy must be concentrated even more to manage a chain of Roads, the ‘Inlets’ (temporary splits of Roads) function at a very base level and operate instinctually akin to wild animals. Masking - If Tom has few Roads in the field, they are able to take on someone else’s appearance. The only appearances they can take on are the ones that Tom himself can remember. If his focus shakes, they glitch in real time and so he must always remain focused on the task at hand. Highways - Tom can create a ‘Highway’ if he only has one (1) Road in the field. Essentially, a Highway can come in two (2) different forms. One is a Road capable of running high speeds and jumping high. Another is a Road that is hyper-aggressive and incredibly strong. Tom is still working on controlling this Highway as it is highly volatile and requires a lot of mental energy to maintain for longer periods of time. **ALL ROADS AND THEIR VARIATIONS CAN BE COLLAPSED AT ANY TIME**
HISTORY: I’m sure he has one that we’ll figure out when we do.

Full Name: Deborah "Debbie" Boatman Alias: Miss Universe Species: Human Age: 17 Gender: Female Appearance: First and foremost - Debbie is no beauty queen. Whether it be that she stands 6'0" even and is a bit overweight, or the thick round glasses she wears that can almost distract you from her blemished and pasty skin, or possibly even her dry frizzy mousy brown hair that creates a jungle on her head. However, Debbie's eyes are crystal blue, which is the only thing about her that makes her feel special.
She tends to wear loose clothes that are flow-y, so her wardrobe mainly consists of maxi skirts and blouses. She doesn't own a single pair of jeans. Debbie's preferred shoes are crocs, but she owns a lot of really cute shoes despite lacking the confidence to wear them.
In her superhero costume she wears a silvery-white cloak that makes a gradient transition to glitter towards the bottom. Underneath the cloak is a silvery leotard with matching boots. On top of her head she sports a silver tiara with a diamond-like gem in the center, and she also has silver wrist cuffs with the same gem in each one. Her hair is pulled back into a ponytail and she loses the glasses replacing them with a silver mask. The emblem on her chest is a stylized tiara made of glitter in the shape of an 'M', with a 'U' in the center. Personality: Too lazy to type it now. Powers: Power Gems - The gem in her tiara is activated when it is placed on her head and the bracelets on her wrists. They give her a few basic powers such as increased strength, durability, flight, and speed.
White Laser - She can fire a white laser beam from the gem in her tiara. It blasts with varying intensities - from concussive force to melting metal. She can even project white-colored holograms if she focuses hard enough.
Perceived Beauty - She is seen as incredibly beautiful by everyone. This isn't an infatuation charm and rarely effects the outcome of fights but it is another power the crown seems to give her.
History: Miss Universe is the title taken by whoever is chosen to wear the Power Gems, and nobody from Earth was ever chosen to inherit them until Debbie came of age. Women of this title are expected to fight for truth, honor, love, equality, and to protect the people of their world. The previous women of the title were all extremely beautiful which has cast a lot of doubt into Debbie whether she is deserving of the title. Two years ago, the previous Miss Universe had retired from her duties and was ready to chose the next wearer of the crown. She met with a selection committee which had shown her countless girls from many planets who possessed the needed qualities, but the retiree had not made up her mind. She decided to have them pull up files on girls from Earth since she knew the Justice League was stationed there and Earth was no longer a joke to other planets. Miss Universe traveled to Earth disguised as a human to meet with the girls that qualified, but it wasn't until she had an accidental run-in with Debbie that she knew this girl was perfect for the job. When presented with the Gems, she was in shock and convinced herself it was an elaborate prank by girls at her school to make her seem even weirder, but soon after donning the gems she realized her life would change forever. She was sworn to protect Earth and fight for truth, honor, love, and equality. She was advised to ask the Justice League for a mentor-ship, due to the retiree not being allowed to contact her after giving her the items. Miss Universe's are not allowed to interfere with the lives of their successors in any way.

Full Name: Evie Cale Alias: Necrotia Species: Possessed Human Age: 17 Gender: female Appearance: Hair - brown, kind of wavy, about chin length Eyes - Grey Height - 5'1" (1.55m) Build - Average. She is in good shape, but no one would ever accuse her of being thin. Face Claim - Maisie Williams Clothing Style - Comfy and practical. She pretty much lives in cargo pants and sweatshirts, preferably ones with lots of large pockets. She prefers darker colors, mostly because they are easy to match and hide stains well.
Superhero outfit - Large black cloak, grey leggings and form fitting grey shirt underneath. Black military-grade combat boots. Personality: quiet, aloof, practical, a bit of a "do-gooder" who believes very strongly in doing things simply because it helps someone, most of the time she tends to go along with the group, but every now and then will go do her own thing because she believes what she is doing is right. Evie will not try to persuade another away from their beliefs, but she will just pick up and leave if she does not agree with their actions. She comes off as very anxious Powers: Necrotic Empowerment - Draws strength from every death that occurs around her. However, the range of this ability is rather small. Necromancy - Ability to raise the dead to serve her will. Weaknesses: Evie is possessed by Azraeuz, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apokolips. As his vessel, she has some of his powers, but not to the extent that he does. They share Evie's body, mostly with Evie in charge, but sometimes, she's not always sure who is in control. History: Evie Cale grew up fairly normally. Mom and Dad. Little brother. House in the suburbs outside of Boston, Mass., USA. Fairly normal, until one Tuesday morning when she woke up with the mother of all headaches. Sorry about that...Unfortunate side effect, I'm afraid a voice said. A voice that came from her own mind, but somehow was not her. It turns out that Evie's grandmother had swallowed some sort of crystal that contained Azraeuz's essence. Grandma Veronica had long since passed away, but Azraeuz was still connected somehow to the Cale family. Once Evie figured out who exactly she was playing host to, she became determined to use the powers that came with being his vessel for the greater good. Fast forward a couple years, and Evie has gained a bit of a reputation as a vigilante. It was this reputation that put her on the League's radar. They don't know the origin of her powers, and she really wants it to stay that way. Something tells her that they would not be pleased to find out that the same entity that Superman, Batman, and Wonder Women struggled to vanquish years ago is riding shotgun. Theme Song: The Flash of the Blade - Iron Maiden

The scene that starts our RP out has just been posted. Sorry it took me so long everyone. It was just far more involved and technically different than anything I usually write so it took a bit longer. The scene takes place on Saturday 6 May 2028 and you'll notice that it's primarily from Batman's perspective but most importantly, it does not involve my character Graham at all. I'm leaving the establishment of the scene from here to the rest of you and more specifically to whoever starts first. Graham will arrive last, after all of you have made intro posts; on Saturday 13 May 2028 you'll meet in Civic City, Pennsylvania (former headquarters of the Justice Society of America if anyone is interested in the reasoning) and feel free to interact but I think it's fair to ask that we all just post once each just until we've each made an intro post and then feel free to go crazy from there? Okay, cool, thanks. Also, you'll probably want to go as your hero alter egos, not in your civvies and revealing your secret identity. You can choose to reveal those or know those casually and we'll see how that goes but it is an official invitation of gathering from the JUSTICE LEAGUE so you might be excited and stuff and want to go looking impressive in your getup. You don't know why you're being gathered though, just that you might be joined by others. Expect the unexpected

I'm slowly starting to work on a post! I was going to wait until someone else posted first, but it looks like that might not happen. btw I found a nice YJ-themed playlist for getting that writing mojo going, if anyone else likes writing to music. edit mdf2711, are they meeting at a certain location within Civic City?

All right, you guys, whoever posts first is now obligated to pick the worst, most miserable location you can think of. :p
edit ok y'all I think I'm going to need someone else to post first. I've typed up three different versions of Savi's first post and hated all of them, and now the well's dry.
