hi. So, I don't have the fancy stuff that everyone else does. My intention with this post is to create a collection of characters on this site to reference rather than hunting for my post and editing it in the other threads.
Please don't post until all of the character threads are up. ^_^

Name: Riley Elkins Age: 17 Appearance: Gender Identity: Male Personality: Riley is an extremely likable person. Although he really enjoys to talk to others and find out more about them, he also really enjoys his alone time. Resting and taking in his surroundings while evaluating his previous and future decisions is really relaxing to him. While he does try to give off a sort of confident vibe, he is rather insecure and is constantly thinking of ways to better himself as both an individual and team leader (Pokemon-wise). Because of his extreme consideration of others and what they say, he takes all insults to heart. It takes a lot to reverse something negative said to him and he will always hold on to those facts. History: Riley is a pretty simple person from a pretty simple background. When he was younger, he had always wanted to grow up and do something non-Pokemon related. His choices normally jumped between various types of manual labor. First a construction worker, then a landscaper, then a carpenter. It all lasted until he was about 12 and found that Pokemon really were enjoyable. His father began exposing him to different kinds and encouraging any kind of journey he may want to take. While his parents did support his initial choices, they were not completely happy with them. When he finally changed his mind around the age of 16 and decided to become a Pokemon trainer, his parents were relieved and completely supported the decision. They pushed him into this adventure the next year and continue to support him. Being that they were about middle-class and he is an only child, they are able to send him occasional financial support. This normally means that he's rather happy and stress-free.

Newton (Newt) Strauss // // 15 Asexual Personality
Newton dislikes contact with people. He enjoys their presence and company, but prefers not to hold a conversation. He has a strong fear of messing up but it often fades once he begins performing the action. The only living thing that he is truly social with are his Pokemon, and even then he's a rather quiet person. Often, he may hide to avoid confrontation (although he is not very good at it). In most situations he could spit out a fun fact about whichever Pokemon or move is involved. HistoryNewt grew up in Lumiose City, not to far from the central tower. His family had always lived there and none of them had ever dreamed of leaving, even on a journey, until Newt. Most of his family had been scientists or teachers, so there really was no room for some "rough and tough" adventurer. They all expected him to grow up just like them, and he did for a while. Newt's only hobbies were studying and playing with his Abra, Theodore (Theo), considering they were the only two who seemed to be on the same intellectual level. While he would never dare mention it, he knew he was smarter than all of his family. Around age 10 he decided it would be time to leave. There had to be something else out there for him to see. When he had decided this, his personality changed from quiet and studious to loud and excitable. His classmates, who were similar to his family, would often tease him for this. It stayed this way until he was roughly eleven and half, where his personality was completely out of order in the world of the students. They would not only tease him now, but terribly harass and occasionally physically harm Newt. He then drew his personality back. The only person he completely opens up to anymore is Theo. In order to escape this reality, he decided to go off on an adventure early. Due to this, he missed many lessons on berries and items, but would soon make up for it by studying on the road. This was not only by his own will, but was made to promise to do this by the association distributing trainer cards. PokemonItemsOther: Could I give Theo Confusion? It's listed as a "start" move for Kadabra, but I feel like just having Teleport might get... annoying.

Carli Saydem || || 16
Personality: Carli is normally a rather happy and bubbly girl. She does, however, let negative experiences get to her and will hold on to them until there is a reason to let go. She tries her best not to let them effect her mood. It is easy to maintain her attention when it comes to battling or contests.
History: Carli grew up outside of Hoenn (in some random region), but moved there shortly after her failed coordinating career in Amani. Another girl was mistaken for her at the start of her first contest and failed miserably. This lost her all of her sponsors and backing and eventually led to her dropping out of the region entirely. Eventually, after a year-long break from contests, she decided to restart in Hoenn. While most assume that the experience in Amani would have negatively effected her, it simply gives her more strength to compete. She knows it wasn't her fault that she was dropped by others and is happy that they believe in her enough to support her. Carli is still unsure if she wants to challenge the gyms of the region, but her decision will be made with time.
