Poor Yoori. Even after 20 odd years she still can't live down the fact that RNG gave her so many useless Fire Stones.

So as i dont see too much problem with it, Battles can be done by oneself if desired. As in, once you receive a randomized pokemon encounter and scenario, you may control the full battle up to the point of fainting or catch attempt. This should help the story progress and assist with pokemon growth.
Please remember that special battles such as with notable trainers or event battles will require the normal method of responses to aid int he story.
Also, please see the RP page for details about the area and the alolan pokemon that happen to be there. All non event alolan pokmon are available for capture. Please note that if your character is not from alola or noticeably knowledgeable on pokemon from around the world, that your character should be more or less surprised by the newer pokemon and relatively ignorant of their nuances (as in your character isnt going to have the same knowledge as you personally would on these pokemon). You can however gain information from your pokedexes.

I was gonna post but those events took longer to type up than I thought. I'll edit something in/post something new later.

So I have a question about stone evolution... I get that in the rules it says you can evolve at your leisure (and I would like to wait at least a little bit before evolving Aspen's Petilil), but does that mean we just write as if we have the stone or do we have to find it from an event or something similar?
Also, would Manta/Clef be willing to tell us how many levels they believe we should gain from a battle? I feel like I would be really, really bad at that and would prefer if one of you GM's would be willing to do it for me so I don't cause any issues.

I personally measure level gain based on how much a pokemon had to work in a battle, if it was a long hard battle they gain a level or two, if not I wait until the next one.
Also I messed up my left wrist at work so my posts are probably gonna be less lengthy in the future because it kinda hurts to type.

I hope it heals quickly!! EDIT: Should we be going for Pokemon Showdown for this battle or is this another that I write?

You can get them through events. Levels are up to you, as long as they are reasonable. At our current level, one or two battles of like leveled pokemon can raise a level. but moves are learned through the number of battles that you have, so I would pay more attention to that. Pokemon showdown is only for important battles such as gym battles or rivals. Regular battles can be typed normally

Thank you!
Also, I must say I'm really enjoying the self-controlled events. I liked having the one-on-one before with the unpredictability, but the fact that we can keep encountering things is making this move and progress a hundred times quicker than before. It feels like every event is like a writing prompt that we get to create our best response too, and I like it. Hopefully its not bugging you guys too much with the constant events!

I'm glad you're enjoying them! I really enjoy coming up with the events!
If you notice an inconsistency in my writing in future posts, its because I tried to stay canon with referring to pokemon as 'it' but I actually prefer using gender pronouns when referring to them so I might switch back.

Gieo doesn't hold back lmao
Also yes, I did calcs via Random Org for freezing/flinching/paralysis. It's a habit of mine to ensure both parties have a fair fight, and since Duskull had so many status moves, it seemed to be the fairest option.
